The area is really nice, with a lot of activities to do, which are also very affordable and you get a discount as a guest at some. There are many places to eat and drink on walking distance and it's very family friendly.
When checking in, the location of the apartment was shown on a map, but it would have been nice if someone guided us there, since it wasn't immediately clear to us. Also, parking is not close to the apartment, so not so practical for loading and unloading the car.
The apartment was roomy, comfortable and and had all the basic amenities you should need. The beds are okay.
Unfortunately there are also some things that could be better. The first one is general cleanliness, there were many spiderwebs, there was dust in the corners, and we found hairs from the previous occupants. Also the shower drain was clogged, which I unclogged myself with a cheap plunger from the Action. Also there was no airconditioning and no fans in the apartment against the heat, so we bought our own fan at GiF. Also it would have been nice if the fridge had a little freezer.

Lake closed due to algae problem. Not made clear before we booked. Chain-saw work going on from 9am and throughout day each day. - very disruptive and not made clear before booking. No toilet paper or soap in bathrooms.

Peaceful, clean and well maintained campsite in a great location with good scenery and plenty of amenities. Good place to stay to explore the local area. Very helpful and welcoming staff especially at the restaurant despite us not being very fluent in speaking french. Good food and also good value.

The silver birch trees were so graceful and shade providing. The site was flat and spacious.
Surrounding land was waterlogged and muddy because it had been mown when it was too wet.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Plein d'activités disponibles pour s'amuser et pour les enfants. Nous avons aimé beaucoup les ateliers de verre. Le Halloween était très bien organisé.
C'était propre et le personnel très aimable.
Les chalets sont assez petits pour le nombre de personnes.

Avec 2 enfants en bas âge, le Val Joly etait un excellent choix pour 4 jours des vacances d'automne. Le temps etait au rdv il faut dire mais les activités proposées, le calme, les animations "slow" et nature, pas trop de monde etait idéal pour notre famille à l'heure actuelle. Peut-être qu'avec de plus grands enfants ce serait moins le cas? Donc vraiment ravis.
Petit bémol les restaurants ont beau porté des noms différents ils servent tous des burgers, des paninis. Ce n'est que de la junk food et pas très varié.
Combo parfait la piscine chaque jour à n'importe qu'elle heure, au gré de notre rythme et de nos envies incluses dans le prix. Le logement était lumineux, assez gai, le jardinet est un plus pour que les enfants jouent. Le cadre naturel est très agréable. Simple et efficace.
