Everything good! Returned after about 30years!
Good pitch in woods but very uneven.
What a pleasure to welcome you back after almost 30 years! 😊 Thank you for returning to Chanteloup after all this time. A lot has certainly changed, but we hope you still found the same charm and spirit of Chanteloup that you remembered. We hope to see you again very soon!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Chateau! The staff was welcoming at all times, the ground are absolutely beautiful and so well-kept with a 'cosy' feeling. We loved the daily morning boulangerie stop at the Chateau, the kid loved kids club and our cabin in the woods was perfect! We even were helped in such a swift and kind way when we forgot something behind. We shall definitively be back!
We wish that kids club was longer/that there were more opportunities for them to enjoy themselves with other kids at the Chateau!

A lovely chilled and relaxing place to stay, a large pitch, with plenty of space to relax. Lovely atmosphere and friendly helpful staff.

Thank you very much for your very positive message and for sharing your experience with us. Regarding the motorhome service area for grey water, it is regularly inspected and cleaned. However, many campers still confuse the grey water disposal area with the chemical toilet disposal point. We will be even more vigilant in the future. 😉

The setting and facilities were amazing, surrounding countryside is beautiful!
Toilets near to the Lac glamping tents as it’s a bit of a walk in the middle of the night.
Well managed, clean, picturesque campsite with lots to do! Not too crowded. Very quiet at night.
The restaurant wasn’t the best but still provides basic meals.

This was our 43rd year we stayed at Chateau de Chanteloup .. and again it was lovely meeting all our international friends during our months stay. Valerie and Benoit are special hosts .

We loved the big pitch and the field where our children quickly found new friends. We also loved the events such as the pub quiz and the bbq!
Maybe a few more sunbeds around the pool (and clear communication about (not) reserving the sunbeds when you leave the pool area). Also if the baker could come a bit earlier that would be nice for people with young kids. Furthermore the toilets seemed pretty clean but often smelled of urine and some had a loose seat. The tap on our field (Verger) was difficult to use without getting sprayed all over and standing in mud.

The grounds are stunning, large pitches, great staff and food at the restaurant delicious. The quiz was fantastic fun last night also and everyone makes you feel welcome.

Fantastic place, very clean and tidy, Great pool area, staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. Bar area in front of the chateâu is a lovely place to chill and relax with a beer. Hopefully we will return. Everything is there

The campsite has a very relaxed feel and excellent facilities.
Our porch was huge we had so much space with sun and shade.
On some occasions the electric supply dipped slightly which impacted our fridge.

We plan to address this issue over the winter by upgrading the electrical system, as the modern equipment campers use today requires significantly more power. we have stayed here on a number of occasions in the past. On this occasion we were only staying one night en route across France, but we were still made to feel very welcome. The site has everything you want for a longer (or a short) stay and we dined very well in the restaurant in the evening. Thank you Chanteloup. We'll definitely be back.
the signage off the main road is not very clear and travelling in the direction we were the sign was just after the point you needed to make the turn, so we had to do a tour of the local village before getting back onto the main road. The locals seem to think this is a quite common experience. I think on previous occasions when we visited Chanteloup we were coming from the other direction so did not experience that problem then, or we simply forgot!
The pitches are all grass so you expect them not to be level, but we had a very good spot. thank you
the pitching where we were centred around the large tree in the middle. It was a lovely outlook, but I think that putting some sort of surface (say a gravel roud) down around the tree for people to tow on to the other side of the field would be a good idea rather than driving across the bumpy grass. I can't imagine what state it would be in by the end of the season or when it rains.

Well spaced out with large sites. Also a bit of shade from the forest. Altogether very pleasant.
The grey water drains on pitch were built up, meaning the van didn't drain well. There could be a few more chemical toilet dumps or another toilet block or two. Also existing chemical dump was awkward to use as the rinse hose came on when you pressed the tap and only lasted for 5 seconds. You would have needed 3 hands. No food served during the day, just ice-cream and alcohol. Shop only seemed open 830 to 1030am Staff seem a bit stressed about customers opening the freezer. ??

The drain was built up making grey drainage difficult.

Regarding daytime food service, we have tried offering it several times, but there was very little demand. As for the ice cream freezer, it is clearly marked that customers should not help themselves; this is to prevent the door from being left open constantly (which tends to happen if campers serve themselves). We look forward to seeing you again at Chanteloup.

As usual everyone at Ch Chanteloup was very welcoming - all very efficient with a lovely relaxed ambiance on site
Can’t think of anything
Large reasonably level forest pitch was tidy and clean. Lots of room for a large motorhome and trailer. Plenty of room for Edgar the German Shepherd on his longish lead.
A long walk to the toilet “dump” and showers - not an easy trek over soft ground for someone with any mobility issues.
