The whole set up was perfect from the magnificent central house and bar to the facilities and camp sites. The staff are incredibly helpful and polite.
Set on clean flat ground surrounded by trees to provide much needed shade it was the perfect place to set up tents.

We have staged at Chanteloup 4 times. Beautiful site with the most friendly staff. Makes an excellent stop on way south or a great destination in itself. Also close to a fantastic E LeClerc in Le Mans

This site offers something for most campers, from secluded woodland pitches to open pitches around the main house. The facilities were high quality. Most importantly for us, there were extensive grounds in which to walk and exercise our dog. The bar and outdoor seating areas were excellent, so much so that we just had to watch the European Cup with quite a few very tasty Aperols (just as well as England lost!)! During high season, there are numerous activities for campers of all ages to enjoy. While we did not use it, the restaurant menu looked very good. Well-stocked shop also.
The pitch was spacious as we were in the main grounds of the house. Electricity supply was perfectly adequate for our needs although perhaps for some, a long cable might be required.

Lovely site, well managed, everything you need, we only stayed 1 night and wished we had stayed longer.

We had a caravan, we had a excellent pitch right outside the Chateau, water was ready available, electric was ok.

We loved the cabin in the woods where we stayed. The pool is great along with the relaxed ambience of the whole place. We will certainly return in the future. There was always someone around who you could ask for help, all of the staff were friendly. The fresh bread and pastries were fantastic.
Don't change too much the place is perfect!

Stopped here for a couple of days on the way back north. Just what we needed to relax for a couple of days
Pitch was lovely and flat, electric was on the pitch, water was a little walk away, (previous site had water on the pitches)

This was our second visit to this beautiful campsite and we will definitely be back. Beautiful setting, fantastic staff and brilliant facilities.
Great pitch, close to toilet block unfortunately the hot water was not working so we had to travel to the next closest block if we needed hot water for washing.

5th time visiting Chanteloupe, perfect French relaxing holiday doing traditional things and spending quality time with family.
How about an Electric Vehicle charging point?
Good combination of rooms for us.
The shower heads could do with being sorted, though it is the end of the season.

The grounds, facilities in the chateau, playground and pool were all wonderful. We really enjoyed the activities put on, and the whole campsite had a lovely relaxed vibe. The kids felt safe exploring and making friends, the restaurant and shop were just what needed. It felt very special.
There was a loud generator noise near our pitch from 10.30pm until 4am, it did really impact our sleep. The girl on reception was grumpy with us on arrival. It was raining until quiet late and we had an awful time as arrived with a wet tent after taking it down in the rain, the journey had taken far longer than anticipated. We enquired if any of the glamping options were available for a night so we could rest and put up our tent in better weather the next day and were told no - but realised there were quiet a few empty the whole week.

Thank you very much for this nive review and feedback. We are so sorry but as you can imagine, logically, in order to organise the housekeeping teams, especially during the busy high season, it is not possible to hire the glamping tents for just one night, we hope you understand ;)

Beautiful setting, well organised without feeling commercial. Lots for kids to do, plus lovely bar for the grown ups! The staff were great, and their warmth was felt everywhere.
Never managed to get the WiFi to work!
We really liked that they don’t cram pitches into every available bit of space. Wherever you are, there is room to breathe and run around.
The cost of electricity hook up is high.

Wonderful. This is the second time we have stayed. The staff go the extra distance to make you feel welcome and the campsite itself is just perfect. We will return.

Stunning grounds, the Château is just beautiful. The campsite is tranquil, but there is enough going on. Facilities clean and modern. Restaurant on site brilliant. Our children loved the park and pool. We loved being able to sit on the lawn in front of the Château with an Aperol Spritz whilst the children played next to us on the field with new friends they had made. The site felt really safe and family friendly. Would recommend wholeheartedly- although half of me wants to keep this hidden gem to myself. Thank you.
