Spent a week in August at this lovely family run site. Located beside the sea with a choice of beaches, and bars and restaurants within 1-5 minutes walk. We brought our own caravan and large awning and we're delighted with our pitch which was located in a quiet corner. The family and staff are very kind and friendly. We enjoyed many relaxed breakfasts and coffees in the cafe. The facilities were kept very clean. I highly recommend it. We really enjoyed the open air cinemae evening. Thank you Camping Merko Lecarra for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful, clean camping with practical layout. Close vicinity (5 min walking distance) to the beaches, restaurants, bars, surfing school and bus stop. Silence at night - you hear only ocean. Top notch customer experience, very friendly and supportive staff (even though my french is poor at best :-)). You can order fresh bread and croissants each day. On-camping events - we especially liked live concert of small band. All in all, wonderful vacation. Two thumbs up, way up!!!
Perfect, we liked especially large terrace with wooden table and benches.
Improvements - air condition on the hotter days would be nice. One or two sunbeds on the terrace would be a nice addition.

This is our 3rd time here. The site is a family owned site and it shows. The owners and the team here are full of pride about the site and quite rightly so. The team here can never do enough to help. Gardens are immaculate , pitches very well cared for and will accommodate almost all tenants and caravans. Some do slope a little but this has never bothers us and we are in a tent. Toilet block is almost new and is very clean and tidy. We have camped for many years and it is difficult to fault this site. Always a great experience and we will look forward to returning in 2025.
Given the location it is very popular with surfers. I wonder if it would be possible to have a mop/ squeegee in the shower block . There can be a bit of sand around at the popular times of day.

The people who run the site are warm, welcoming and helpful. The site is spotlessly clean and located next to the beach and several bars/restaurants. The bus to SJDL is just outside and takes 30 minutes. SJDL is delightful. There is a snack bar on site which serves great snacks and you can also order pastries for the following morning. The site is peaceful; at night it is very quiet which may not suit everyone but we loved it. There is a laundry with 1 washing machine and 1 dryer; it can get quite busy but the dry and washer are both efficient.

The pitch was a good size for a large tent and an estate car; it was on a corner plot. Located close to all facilities. Electricity was provided.
We were on plot 49 which is a huge plot and location is amazing however we were under a tree which had an insect which fell on the tent constantly which ended up in the tent. Wouldn’t normally be a problem with ants etc but these weren’t great. Appreciate its nature but they did get in to everything . That said we it wouldn’t stop us going back just staying on a different plot. Everything else was perfect.

Very friendly staff on checkin and everything explained clearly, good size pitch and well maintained, toilets, showers and washing up area immaculate and cleaned on a regular basis. Nice little snack on site and bread ordered daily, fabulous location literally 3 minutes from 2 beaches and small beach bars on both offering food and drinks. This really is a very good campsite and staff are visible daily doing maintenance and cleaning….well worth a visit if you’re in the area or make it a part of your travel plans, you won’t be disappointed

Campsite is ideally situated next to the beach. The lane down to the beach can get quite busy but as soon as you step into the campsite, all is very peaceful, green & quiet! The family who own the campsite are so friendly & always available should you have any queries/or just to say hello. Daily Pastries & bread can be ordered which was great. The beach 5min walk is great for swimming/surfing. We enjoyed a surf lesson (bookable just over road from campsite) & nice meals at one of the beachside bars. On Coastal path to St Jean de Luz (& bus route). Small grocery shop 10mins walk up road.
Very clean. Well laid out so seemed quite spacious and ample room for 2 adults & 2 older teens. Very well kept. Lovely view of hills. Very private.

Excellent customer service and a lovely family who made us feel very welcome throughout our stay .Well maintained in all areas of the campsite and onsite Café for some nice treats.2 mins away stunning beaches and coastal walks along with plenty of restaurants ??

This is the second time we have stayed. This is fast becoming one of our favourite sites. What makes this site that much more special is the family and colleagues who run the site It is kept in immaculate condition and the attention to detail is second to none Whilst it may not have some of the facilities of some larger sites such as a pool there are bars and two superb beaches within 5 mins walk During the evening there is a security guard on the gate which is the only way in and out of the site. This gives an added reassurance. Again fabulous site run by a fabulous team.

We had a great pitch perfect for us What is really nice to see is that each pitch is freshly mown and left in the best possible condition for the next guests. There is plenty of grass on every pitch and I cannot recall any without grass. Which is very unusual and again shows how much this site is cared for . Electric on every pitch Toilet block is kept very clean and tidy and always loads of hot water The gardens are very well kept and show the pride in this camp site.

L'accueil, le mobil home parfaitement décoré et aménagé, la proximité et la vue sur l'océan, le stationnement et la tranquillité.
Rien à redire. Propreté, équipements, décoration, aménagement extérieur. Parfait.

L'amabilité, le sérieux, la propreté et bien d autres qualificatifs résument ce camping en plus d ́être situé. Ce qui est sur c’est que nous reviendrons dans ce lieu.

Manque peut-être d'abri au vent sur certains emplacements ( le nôtre !). A 100m de la plage, c'est important 🙂

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und haben ganz spontan verlängert um 5 Tage, die Sanitäranlagen sind sehr sauber, ein gutes Konzept der Mülltrennung, mit Kompost. Das schätzen wir sehr! Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, der Garten ist voller wunderbarer Blumen und Kräuter. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Der Stellplatz ist groß, dich Büsche vom Nachbarn getrennt, man hat seine Privatsphäre.
