Camping Le Port de Limeuil

This was our 12th year here, so it must show how good this wonderful site is. It was very hot with 40° on one day and constantly in the upper 30’s, but ours, like most pitches have good shade. The welcome is always straightforward and we’re always made to feel welcome. All staff work extremely hard to keep the site immaculate and the restaurant staff must have found it hard in the heat. The menu is fine and we like to eat around the bar and the food is always excellent.

Difficult to suggest any improvement although the pool could do with some updating as several tiles were missing.

The site is so friendly and safe. there is plenty of socialising and also quiet areas when you want them. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the facilities are great.

Ambiance of the campsite, access to the river and swimming pool. Family and staff very friendly and helpful.

Bit more variety for entertainment at the bar. Wider selection of films for all ages.

Once again we had a fantastic time at this campsite. Will definite returning for our 6th visit soon.

Good size pitch, great bar/food, good facilities, great being right on the river and the staff even though they work so hard they were always happy and smiling

River beach and a pool make it perfect. Good value food. Boys love the football matches in the evenings. Nice range of evening events.

We have visited this site several times over the years and spent another lovely, relaxing week there. Always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Wonderful campsite . Lots to do in the area

The accommodation was once again fantastic. The staff are always super helpful and friendly and the location is fabulous.

A bit more policing of the swimming pool would be appreciated. We regularly saw groups of unaccompanied teenagers vaping, drinking, eating, pushing, playing loud music, being boisterous in the small pool and generally being poorly behaved around family groups with small children. The rules are clearly displayed but not really enforced and it is a real shame that the pool cannot be enjoyed fully due to the behaviour of some who feel the rules don’t apply to them.

The overall atmosphere

Replace the sinks in the ‘chemical disposal building’ with additional showers for men. This will reduce long wait times and queues. Specially in the evening hours.

Incredible riversetting, lclean facilities, great pool, tennis court, badminton. Comfortable tent luxe. The site has a really nice community feel and clearly many people meet up here year after year. Great to be able to view sporting events in the main bar (two TVs allowing different options) and play pool. Excellent support from the owners/family when our car battery in failed in order to get it fixed and very useful to be able to use the campsite hire car in the interim. The Aquafun canoeing station on site was really convenient and the team there were very knowledgeable and helpful.

Water pressure and shower facilities- due an update in the block in the centre of the site perhaps? Chips/frites need to be better quality and quality of ingredients generally at the cafe bar would make food more flavoursome. We didn’t eat there as much as last years as a result. The pool may benefit from a lifeguard in busier months to regulate the behaviour of some over excited teenagers.

Everything from the pitch allocation to the cleanliness of the facilities to the bar/shop area to the staff. All top notch.

Grey waste drainage and wifi

Third year visiting says everything.

Grey water drainage is utterly useless. We watered the bushes during our stay.

The campsite location is breathtakingly beautiful and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We loved the cinema club on Wednesday nights even though we were an all adult family.

A few more vegetarian choices in the cafe maybe , thought they were always good enough to accept requests of pizzas without chorizo or chicken.

Good sized pitch with shade and water. Showers , toilets and washing areas always clean. Delightfully chilly swimming pool. Very well stocked shop & a good restaurant and bar.

Perhaps some supervision of pools to allow swimmers to swim and jumping in less competitive!

The site is run to a very high standard shower blocks cleaned several times throughout the day and all amenities are kept in very good condition

None that I can think of it’s a really well run site
