The peace and solitude of tha campsite was great and enable us to settle down to a slower pace of life.
Maintenance of trees / hedges around tge pitches could be improved.
We requested a shady pitch , due to the heatwave, and were given No.44, which was excellent - Well done.
Loose gravel / stones on the roadways could do with brushing to remove the potential hazard, especially for smaller children.

some pitches bigger than others the restaurant is more of a snack bar - not gourmet dining (if that's your thing)

Absolutely fantastic site for so many reasons- great location,super friendly and helpful staff nothing too much trouble, they’ve thought of everything, super clean facilities, next to the river, best pain au raisin for weeks- we will be back

The pitch was well shaded, which was necessary given the high temperatures. It was large with a lovely view of the open meadow leading down to the river.

Sometimes there wasn't any soap in the toilets to wash your hands after the toilet and the soap dispenser wasn't any good anyway.

The site provided everything we needed and nothing was missing from our stay to highly recommend this as a perfect place to just relax …. !! Would of course return if we were in the area…!!! Thank you 🤩

Beautiful site with kind and attentive hosts. Sitting on the banks of the Dordogne the site is well placed.
We visited during the heatwave and as there is no air conditioning for environmental reasons it was unbearably hot. I was given a fan which helped a little.

This was my first visit as I came with my cousin and her husband who thought I would like it, but it exceeded my expectation! I’ve never been much of a camper, but my stay has certainly changed my mind. Besides the breathtaking views in the area, the campsite was immaculate! The facilities were clean and well maintained, the bar and restaurant were sublime, and the little shop had everything you needed, but I really must say how wonderful the staff were. Warm and friendly like they were welcoming you into their home. Can’t say thank you enough for such a lovely stay. Will definitely return!

Distance to facilities needs some assessment regards access for people with mobility issues, we were on pitch 53 which was some distance to walk to the only disabled shower room. Access to the pools was essential in the hot weather we had, the big pool is not accessible, if you can get in you be struggling to get out with no full access. The small pool had one unsuitable ladder and a blocked off walk in ramp

The extreme heat and difficulty accessing facilities to stay safe in the heat Mention in the booking info of special needs with limited mobility to be positioned near the facilities available would be helpfu. Hard seats in bar area !l.

Although we have stayed at higher rated campsites this one was the best. Due to how long it's been established it's as if every little detail has been thought about and overcome. The pitches are beautifully kept and the facilities are plentiful and clean.
A few staff members could be a little more welcoming.

We were given a great pitch with plenty of space and adjacent to our fiends who we met at Limeuil. Good facilities. This is our second visit too this site.

Lovely family business. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Limeuil is a beautiful setting where Rivers Dordogne and Vezere meet. Very nice food at the restaurant. Pool is very welcoming. A good variety of pitches many with lots of tree shade in hot weather.

We had an amazing time, the site was clean and had a relaxed vibe. The pool was lovely and coasting down the river was really fun too. I stayed in a safari tent and it was well equipped and comfortable. We ate at the bar a number of times and the food was well priced and tasty. Steak, pizza and chips specifically. We also drank at the bar and the drinks on offer and ice cold water was great. Top tip, if you are relaxing by the pool, ask them to fill your water bottle at the bar, it is ice cold and lovely.
Having some water refill stations with ice cold water would be good and would stop me having to ask bar staff to refill bottles. Also, it would be good to have an option of plastic cups to allow people to drink by the pool. Something I would have appreciated it more shade options by the pool or near the playgrounds so I could sit comfortably while my child plays.
The tent was great, it looked wonderful, was well kitted out and the beds were comfy.
I was a little confused then booking about ordering bedding etc, this was quickly sorted on arrival. One thing to note was that my water butt leaked so I had to keep it outside. Also, the floor moved a lot so it made a lot of nice shaking things when I was in the tent. Otherwise, wonderful accommodation that I would use again.

Stayed 5 nights in hot sunny weather. Attractive site, thoughtfully laid out and well managed. Retired couple, we did not use the swimming pool but facilities for families looked good.
