Parc des Maurettes

It’s a great campsite close to the train station and near the supermarket. Very clean toilet block .

The place is nice and close to the services we were looking for. The reception is friendly and there is also a small spa and sauna in the area. We could easily cycle to Nice from the campsite. The place is close to the train station from where we also went to Monaco. Shower facilities ok. Grocery stores nearby.

It would be a good idea to tell guests when they check in that they cannot leave the area in the morning until the reception is open. Grey water and the chain cannot be removed without a name on it is closed to the emptying/filling point. We were angry when we did this. The man who came to me shouting and screaming did not know French so there was no common language. The answer at the reception was also a woman who knew English. We apologized very much for having acted against their wishes. However, it would be a good idea to inform the guests about these things in advance.

Really nice site, very convenient for supermarkets and train station that runs into Antibes, Grasse, Cannes, Nice, Menton, Monte Carlo etc.

Shame the spa and pool was shut out of season but totally understand why with the current energy crisis.

We stayed here two years ago for 6 weeks and this stay was only two weeks, so to return says it’s a good site.

Paying extra for 10 amp electricity is not normal as 6 amp is not worth having. Build it into the initial rate would be better.

We had a very enjoyable holiday in Parc des Maurettes as so many times before

Location. Setting in an old establishment. Close to rail network, shops, restaurants and marina.

Toilet facilities in both blocks terrible. Rust stains on sinks dark cubicles no loo paper or handwash. Used my moho facilities on this one.

Friendly staff. Great location to get around on the train along the cote D’zur coast only being 8 minutes walk away. Although facilities old they were very clean. Small indoor pool on site. Pitches shaded.

Peaceful campsite with good facilities

Bread delivery in the morning would make a big difference. First campsite we have visited not to offer this.

Quiet site with level pitches and services. Site has BBQ facilities, it also has a washer for the van, works off a free token, only found out about it by accident, it's at the water dump. It was good to wash some of the grime off the van. The site facilities appear to be a little dated, but the water in the showers and badins are hot so I was not bothered by the decor. Approximately 600m from the gate is the local train station that takes you all across the local cities. Turn left at the station and 200m finds you at lidl. I would definitely book in again.

Maybe brighten up the toilet and shower facilities, I'd definitely replace the 'traditional', hole in the floor, toilets.

I liked the size of our pitch

Ground was too hard for pegs, could have had grass on some of the pitch

The management were polite respectful kind and thoughtful people always willing to help especially when I became unwell

We liked the proximity to shops, restaurants and train and the quietness when kids are not riding their bikes around the place screaming. The laundry area was perfect with great size machines. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.

As all the reviewers are saying the sanitary 1 needs a big overhaul, one part is so ancient they are rust at the sinks and the floor so dark that you can’t tell if it has been cleaned. A coffee stain on a shelf stayed there two weeks before being clean. If you put rules in the spa area, you should have someone supervising the place and not letting the camper fight amongst themselves.

From arrival to departure and everything in between was great. Lovely campsite in a great location. The staff clearly work hard. I can see why some people complain - they have no patience. Reception can be busy with arrivals but in a friendly manner they process people as quickly as they can. I would be very happy to stay again and hopefully will, there is so much to see and do locally all of which is accessible from the train station which is only a few minutes walk away
