Evaluations that are not older than three years and have undergone a verification process. More infoWonderful welcome and campsite - loved it! What a gem - we will be back. Loved the rabbits / ducks / goats and peaceful lake - great restaurant serving vegetarian food!
Lovely shop but some fresh fruit and vegetables in shop would be fab.
Beautiful pitches

We had another amazing experience at Le Brevedent, our fifth visit. The general atmosphere that the team have managed to foster, and maintain over the years, is unmatched in my opinion. The various events for the kids and adults add to the experience, but in general we only seem to meet relaxed, cool fellow campers on Le Brevedent who just seem to 'get it'.
Spacious and quiet

We love Le Brevedent, this is our second stay and won't be our last. The owners (and all their staff) are the most welcoming we have seen on any site in the world, we actually changed our plans to make sure we could come bask on our way south and to make sure we were there for at least one music night. The facilities and pool are good, the food and entertainment are second to no other campsite and it's not too big.
Keep doing what you are already doing.
Campervan on Pitch 15. Great location with mix of sun and shade, quiet and dark at night so we could watch the stars.

We absolutely love listening to Les Ratures. Whilst it was a shame that they had to cut the second half short this time we still enjoyed the concert very much and this is what keeps us coming back year after year. Raphael’s band contains some really top notch musicians. We always stay at Le Brevedent for the last few nights of our summer holiday in Europe and find it very relaxing, with a pleasant climate, a friendly welcome from the staff, and a range of activities on site to keep the children occupied. The local villages are characterful and we enjoy our annual trip to the Houlgate beach.
We think the children’s drinks are overpriced, at 4€ for a soft drink and 2.50€ for a sirop. At the restaurant, we had to ask 3 times before we were brought a carafe d’eau, and we were half way through our meal before ketchup and sauce picante were finally brought (after the second time of asking). The pizza base was unusual and slightly disappointing, perhaps being undercooked or made from an unusual dough recipe.
We had V25 and loved it. Whilst initially slightly alarmed by the number of plums on the ground and consequent number of wasps we tidied them up and laid a few beer traps and were pleasantly surprised at how few wasps that bothered us on our pitch in the end. We love the orchard region of the campsite generally, giving a view of the chateau and being close to the lake, cafe, toilets, pool, etc.
Number of plums on the ground of the pitch when we arrived. It seems a waste for all the fruit to fall and rot. Is there a way to harvest the fruit, eg using nets underneath the trees to catch the falling fruit each day…?

Kind staff, atmosphere, cleanliness, beautiful surrounding.
More lights on the walk ways during night.
Camper spot, rather small but okay for 2 days.

Great hosts, very well thought out site especially great for families. Traditional camping site with relaxation and hospitality at the fore. The added bonus of the music nights are both entertaining and fun. If you are musical take your instruments and talent and sign up to the open Mic nights. You’ll also be entertained by Raffael’s and sons bands to classic French music and jazz. It was our third visit in 13 years and the pitch the atmosphere and the location was all brilliant. It’s also a great location for beach day trips, WW2 museums etc. Thanks to the team for looking after us.
Great pitch by the lake.

Beautiful location with great facilities and really friendly and helpful staff. Raphael even jumpstarted our camper after we left a fridge plugged in to the 12v socket. The pool is good and the children loved feeding the animals every day. The lake is lovely and it’s great that you can use the kayak for free. The children enjoyed building dams in the stream. The Saturday night concert with open mike was great fun. We will return and enjoy the great vibe again.
None needed
Good sized pitch. Great to have a table, chairs and even a couple of deck chairs to use. The store shed was handy to keep the luggage tucked away and empty the van for sleeping.
Nothing.

During our 3 week trip of France this site felt like the most authentic and welcoming site we stopped on. We were greeted by one of the family members and shown to our pitch, unfortunately it rained most of the night but the family had arranged a traditional French musical concert under a large gazebo. The band played some traditional up beat music, The site owner was the singer and the lovely gentleman who had shown us to our pitch was playing the keyboards and guitar he was very talented. everyone was enjoying themselves, this experience made our whole holiday
More privacy on the pitches, we felt a bit intrusive to our neighbours in their tent from our motor home. But we were only there one night and our neighbours didn’t mind they were very friendly
Friendly and informal

Beautiful lakeside location in scenic area of Normandy. Good facilities and clean shower/toilet blocks. Regular entertainment. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots for children to do.

We loved the facilities; the pool, cafe and lake really helped make our visit enjoyable. Beautiful surroundings, excellent breakfast pastries, really nice restaurant and great atmosphere amongst the guests. We really enjoyed the music!
The chickens were occasionally quite annoying,
We camped at Le Brevedent and our pitch was conveniently situated for all the amenities. We were able to camp next to our friends. Good shower blocks.
A large cherry tree overlooked our pitch, and whilst this provided lovely shade, it also meant that by the end of the week our tent was covered in both cherries and cherry stains. The cherries on the grass also attracted many wasps which was both inconvenient and annoying.

The friendliness of the staff, the music nights
Nothing at this time
Neat and tidy, good size for two people, nice to have a large deck
A toaster oven would have been nice rather than a toaster and microwave

Friendly staff and a spacious site. Great spot for visits to Honfleur, deaudville, and luisex.
Frequent cleaning of toilets , would be great to see the chateau renovated. Such a waste to leave it delapidates.
Spacious pitch with plenty of room for outdoor dineing.
Not really ... 50€ a night probably a little excessive...
