Loved the location, the practical, clean facilities, the breakfast café, the service.
Good sized pitch, surrounded by greenery, not far from toilets, quiet at night, and lovely location.

Good sized shady pitch, near the beach, quite sandy and we did get stuck in the sand but the owner came and got us out and then provided beers all round!!

Pitches were generous and private, facilities were clean and great standard, onsite bakery was fantastic! Location is great and allowed us to explore some great beaches by bike easily

The island, the sea, the temperature and the location and atmosphere of the camping were great; the flexible hire of the bikes, the nice persons at the reception were great.
I think, when the camping is totally full, more toilets are needed. And also a larger assortiment in the shop. Two times, the bread was sold out/ not deliverable - which was not really relaxt. And for four stars and no swimming pool, I think you should have WIFI all around the camping and maybe more assortiment in your 'restaurant'.

Great facilities, a large pitch, onsite food and drinks, a stone’s throw from the beach, a short walk to a couple of restaurants and shops by the lighthouse, felt secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of the island
Nothing major - just regular soap top ups in the toilets as they often ran out.
Spacious for van and tent, and a short walk to the toilets/showers

Great location, great facilities which were kept clean and tidy. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food available on site was simple, but very good. This site comes with a strong recommendation from our family.

Regarding to heat you suffered upstairs, we did experience unusually high temperatures on the Île de Ré during your stay, which made the upstairs area warmer than usual. Fortunately, these temperatures are not typical for the season. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, we hope to see you back soon at campsite Les Baleines.

Wonderful site, busy but calm and extremely well looked after. Spacious pitches thoughtfully placed, taps and electric hook up close by, several toilet & shower blocks all in good order, lovely staff. Helped us out when our car wouldn’t start. To top it off, there’s a path straight into the beach from the site, and the nearby lighthouse is about 5 mins walk away.

Pitches are good ,showers,toilets and other washing facilities excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful, I was impressed with the fire drill, it's good to see the staff are trained and ready to deal with these situations, I would definitely come back to this campsite

Well located site for beaches and outlets around the lighthouse. Pitches were good size and on site amenities were clean and well maintained. Enjoyed having the bakery onsite for morning bread & pastries, and whilst the on site grocery shop only had a small selection of items, the choices were good. And during a period of extreme temperatures that occurred during our stay, the site ensured there was plenty of drinking water available to stay hydrated.
The site was in a great location for exploring the north & middle of Ile de Re; pair it with another equally good site further south to give easier access to the rest of the isle.
We enjoyed a requested sunny, good sized pitch with water and electricity.
