Ons bezoek aan jullie camping was maar kort, na 2 dagen ontdekt ze een water lekkage en werd Ons verteld dat we moesten verhuizen naar een ander plek op zich geen probleem maar bij een temperatuur van boven de 40gr zagen we dat niet zitten ook omdat we 76 jaar zijn was dat te zwaar voor ons daarom hebben we besloten om te vertrekken. We hadden geboekt voor 2 weken en mede door de bijzondere omstandigheden hadden we de hoop dat we een deel van ons geld terug zouden krijgen maar ons werd gezegd dat dat niet gebeurde, jammer,

We did indeed encounter a water leak on a pitch near yours. As a result, we had to shut off the water and electricity, which unfortunately affected your pitch. We then asked you to move to another pitch so that you could continue to enjoy your stay under the best possible conditions, with all the services included in your reservation. We understand, however, that this situation, combined with the exceptionally high temperatures associated with the red heat wave alert, made this change particularly difficult. We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused. Regarding your request for a refund, we understand your disappointment. However, in accordance with our general terms and conditions, an early departure unfortunately does not qualify for a refund. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back for a future stay under more favorable conditions so that you can enjoy the experience we strive to offer each of our travelers. A wonderful campsite which seems to be below the radar for many ACSI campers. Idyllic location on the shores of Lac St Cyr, close to a nature reserve. Rich birdlife, with over 75 species seen or heard over a 10 day period. Spotless facilities, well maintained every day. Excellent, large pool. Most of all, delightful staff, always eager to help and to please. Thank you very much for making our holiday so pleasant and so much fun. We'll be back for sure!
Not really a dislike, but the restaurant could have a wider choice of dishes, perhaps in rotation?
Quiet spot, with extensive shade (a necessity during the canicule!). We particularly liked the easy access to electricity and water.

We only used the site for one night on our way to Spain. A decent semi shade pitch. The restaurant was ok. Not a great menu but the quality was fine. You can get a fob for access to the lake. €10 deposit. There is a nice 3 mile walk around the lake, so you can get some exercise if you have been driving all day. We are using the site again on our way back from Spain.

Never stayed here before. Remote site on the lake, peaceful surrounded by trees and wildlife. Great reception, good communication, pool lovely, pitches good size with shade where needed.

Good communication pre stay and super friendly reception staff, good parking with checking in. We loved this site, the location, the pitch sizes with electric and water point access. Good bit of privacy as well. Shower and toilet facilities were clean and in good working order and there is a nice little restaurant on site too with terras over looking the lake.
Sign from main road could be improved, our satnav took us into the village and we had to do a tricky U-turn to go back. Chemical toilet point was difficult to find ( not on the map) and tiny sluice , tap pointing away from the shute. Second chemical toilet point would be useful to cover both ends of the camping. Minor points really, we hope to stay again and definitely for a few more days this time.

Everything was clean and tidy, the pitches were well laid out and there were plenty of facilities.
The shop didn't have much stock, but perhaps because it was approaching the end of the season.

Everything went well. One of the best bathrooms we have ever seen, with laundry facilities.
The inability to use the lake water, even for kayaking, was a regrettable point, understandably so.

We stayed on plot 24, which wasn't really suitable for the size of our caravan in terms of access and overall area.

The cabin we stayed in was clean and modern. Pool was clean.
Staff were quite grumpy (particularly in the restaurant) and not enough of them! Lake being out of use was a big shame as this is what brought us to the site when we booked in January. Would not return until the lake is reopened.

the reception staff were lovely, but we had a sad encounter with the wait and bar staff. They treated us differently to all other people there, made us feel very unwelcome and there was no smiles at all. When the same person was serving French people, she was all smiles and kind and bought them things like ketchup and water. when we asked for them we had rolled eyes and attitude. I tried with my French as much as possible but it was ignored. we were also served the wrong food but did not want to say anything as we were uncomfortable already. such a shame as the place was beautiful.

Staff....greeting upon arrival not welcoming or informative. Staff racing around the site late evening on the buggies....not professional. Staff using the pool....not sure if this is the norm in France? No information prior to arrival to say you can't use the lake.

Bonjour madame TRANTER, Vous êtes venu séjourner au Camping **** du Lac de Saint-Cyr pendant la canicule le week end du 28 juin 2025. Le samedi soir une grosse intervention technique a été nécessaire et a mobilisée beaucoup de personnel. Le travail réalisé a été source de stress pour nos équipes. L'intervention a été réalisée avec succès. S'agissant de la période de canicule, après une longue journée de travail, nos agents se sont rafraichis à la piscine. Il s'agissait d'une exception. Nous vous remercions pour vos bonnes notes en propreté, confort et emplacements. Nous vous remercions d'avoir séjourné au Camping **** du Lac de Saint-Cyr.

There was a heatwave during our stay so we stayed on the site. So much to do -walk round the lake, cool drink in the cafe, lovely meal at night in the restaurant, big comfortable, hedged pitch, pool to cool down in, cycle into village safely, and lots more for the kids. Lovely friendly staff.
