The bar and restaurant area was very pleasant. Staff were very helpful.
Our emplacement was poor and dark, heavily tree covered, with a little view of the river, despite having paid extra for a riverside pitch.
The pitch was a good size.
The ‘edge of the Loire’ designation for our pitch whilst factually true, we could see little of the river due to the trees. Very disappointing.

As mentioned during your stay, we offered the possibility to change pitches, but riverside options were fully booked and, given the size of your caravan, choices were limited. You chose to remain on your pitch.

A beautiful location with friendly helpful staff and with good amenities. Well situated for access to many interesting local places to explore and visit.

We love its location to the river. We enjoy the private facilities, the pool, friendliness of staff. Surrounding shops and villages
The sump in the shower could go do with a regular clean.
We enjoy the warm shower, sink and fridge facilities on our campervan site.

The campsite was very peaceful and tidy. The staff were very friendly and we ate in the Restaurant and the food was good. The Abbey and the village square is only a few minutes walk away with a market on Sunday. Next time we visit we will also be making a trip to Saumur, which is around 13 miles away.
A number of the showers were out of use, so it could get little busy

Position of the site is wonderful - on the river, within a few steps of the village centre, with good cycling available from site, and within easy reach of many interesting attractions. Staff courteous and friendly.
The condition of the pitch surface was terrible, and although 'grand comfort' there was no water tap and drainage for the caravan (we asked to move pitches). The chemical emptying point had an awkward arrangement with some hose from a tap outside it, and not really long enough for purpose (a tap and hose within the emptying enclosure would help! ) The communal facilities were adequate, but desperately need updating.

We just wanted to clarify that you had booked a pitch with private sanitary facilities, which includes a shower, toilets, and two sinks inside. For this reason, there is no direct water connection on the pitch itself, as everything is already provided in the private unit. We also take note of your comments regarding the chemical emptying point, and we’re pleased to let you know that the communal sanitary blocks will be fully renovated for the 2026 season.

A wonderful time on the banks of the river, walking distance to the local town. Friendly staff and a clean site. Private bathrooms are cracking 👌
Pitch was a bit on the smaller size, there were much larger pitches around. However, having the private package it was worth it. The shower was amazing, the sink in the bathroom a little small, so we used the sink in kitchen area. We didn't use the fridge has we kept everything in our motorhome fridge. Overall well worth the extra cost. Would do it again.

All facilities good, plenty of hot water at showers and wash up, friendly and hard working staff, are a credit, great restaurant which we used twice

We returned after a three year break and stayed in one of the cottages (as we had sold our campervan). The site is as good as we remembered. The morning wine tour with the site owner was fun and informative.

Very friendly owner, clean, well laid out, has everything you need including restaurant/bar and pool. Based in a lovely french village with bars, restaurants, bakery, butchers. Great base for cycling or visiting the local chateaus.
We learned that the showers/toilets are being upgraded which we think will make the necesssry improvement to the site (although they still work efficiently)
We had a river view and a large pitch - perfect.

Great location. Alongside the Loire and next to Montsoreau. Good facilities. Pool. Restaurant, bar. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good sized pitches. Some fully serviced. Some with private facilities. We had one with our own facilities. With shower, toilet, fridge, sink etc. would always want to book one now. This is our second time here and we have already booked to come back next year. We could not recommend it enough.
Our pitch was quite uneven. It could do with levelling off. Closing the office for two hours at lunchtime creates a build up of people and traffic which could cause congestion on the road. Maybe having a staggered lunch break would help.
The private facilities were great. As was the picnic table with a sun shade. The pitch was huge. Enough to put our awning, annex and sun canopy up with much room to spare.

Lovely, clean site situated in a very, pretty village on the bank of the Loire offering wine tasting tours and other activities. Some pitches have their own toilet/shower and kitchen cabins plus picnic table and benches. Only downside is the proximity of showerblock and toilets to the pool.
Mend the toilet next to the pool. Provide more fully serviced (premium) pitches rather than the cabins, which take up a lot of room if you have a caravan and awning and car.
Nice idea for tents/campervans
It didn’t work so well for us as it made the pitch to cramped with cabin, picnic table, caravan, awning and car. Next time hope to have a larger caravan and so a fully serviced pitch will be better.

Lovely site located on the banks of the Loire. Walking distance to local cafes and restaurants in Montsoreau. Direct access to Loire Cycle Path. On site Bar and Restaurant (very limited menu but quality good) Nice size swimming pool.
One or two issues that might be improved, cleaning of the scum line around the pool edge, inside of toilet cubicle doors and area around hand wash sink.
Good size level pitch with easy access to site amenities.
General maintenance across the site could be better.

We had a great pitch on the side of the river which was well worth paying a small supplement for. No real shop in the village so arrive with provisions for your stay. But in the heart of glorious villages. Restaurants and vineyards
