Evaluations that are not older than three years and have undergone a verification process. More infoWe stayed with you for one week in 2019 when our girls were only 6 and 4. It was our first camping trip in France and back then we absolutely adored it. Since 2019 we’ve travelled around France to different sites and adapted as our girls have grown. We stayed just one night with you due to the fires in the south as we travelled north to await our next stay. Your site is bar far the most special and looked after we have ever been. We feel like it’s run by real people who care, not the big machine run sites we have stayed at for the last 6 years. Thank you for staying true to your selves.
Really good sized pitch. Private. The sanitary hut is a good size with a good shower.

Campsite as always fantastic. New pool area fantastic with plenty of loungers being, ultra fussy (a little hard and uncomfortable) .
New restaurant menu, not as good as previous years. A little restricted with choice and maybe not up to usual standard. Fresh vegetables in shop poor quality. Limited products available.
Lovely pitch with a little help with some shade from the trees. Great position with great access to all amenities. Wi fi to have better available across the site.
Nothing to dislike

The site is amazing. The fully serviced pitches are outstanding. The staff all very helpful no matter what thweir role. The variety and quality of food on offer at the take away is excellent. Having zero alcohol on draught is a great option. Mini market very well stocked. Recycling area clean and instructions clear. The site rules of quiet after 1030 is good. The washing machines although only 5 of them for the site seem well Managed and they public toilets and shower units were very well maintained and clean. The small bar area is exceptionally and the staff keep it really clean.
On arrival we should have asked For a plot that wasn’t part of a walkway for people as our puppy was extremely interested in everything and everyone going past. That was our only real thing we would change.
The pitch was a great size. The welcome pack in the shower/toilet very good. The unit was exceptionally clean. Water was very hot. The wash area was well maintained. The whole area was amazing and we would highly recommend.
Just the fact we were on a route for all people to walk past to get to the bar/reception etc.

The site is friendly, clean, well-staffed and full of things to do. I liked the fact that the owners work hard to reduce the environmental impact of the site and to make it nature-friendly (swallows in our washing up area!). The pool was beautiful and the nearby cafe with cold drinks and ice cream were a wonderful treat after a swim. Our camp spot was a grand pitch - shady with a lovely large wooden table and chairs, which was great. At night the site was quiet and you could sit and watch the bats and the marvellous sunset. My daughter loved the riding - 2 hour rides with a dip in the lake!
The fishing equipment needed to be repaired - there was nothing serviceable to hire, which was a shame.
Large, shady and quiet pitch on the edge of the site. Easy to walk to shower and toilet facilities, also the washing up area.
We tried to tighten the wobbly chairs up, but I think the well-used wooden joints were the issue

We just finished an 8 day stay and loved every minute of it. Our pitch was the nicest pitch we have ever stayed in. Shady, spacious and with great amenities. The range of activities for our 3 children (7,6 and 4) were brilliant. They had the time of their lives. The evening entertainment is fun and varied and they will remember the close friendships and new experiences forever. Us adults also had a great time, lovely restaurant, wine tasting evening and spaces to hang out and enjoy a book We felt it was excellent value for money and appreciated that many activities were free (boating, Lego).
Perfect, everything was clean and working. Great shade and space on the pitch.

Such a variety of things to do in such a beautiful, cared for environment with lovely staff. Our 6 year old loved it, making friends and being able to be independent to roam the grounds, it was ideal as a break for all of us. I loved the guided tour Anne, the owner, gave of the grounds, it was fascinating. Hope to be back again next year!
Sometimes there are long queues for ice cream or at the bar, sometimes the pool is very crowded
Spacious, new, clean, dishwasher, love there is some spray to clean and a welcome pack of stuff
Pillows were too soft, we had ants the first 2 days until the maintenance guy sorted it out but I felt it shouldn’t have gotten so bad. There were a ton of ants! I feel like we needed two fans, one for each bedroom.

Such friendliness, familiarity, and facilities surely can’t be found anywhere else. Suitable for all ages.
Better WiFi.
Pitch sizes are very generous. The pitches are clean, well maintained and all close to facilities.

Had a great holiday, have stayed many times before and booked again for next year.
More parasols needed around the swimming pool especially due to the high temperatures this year. Sanitary block next to boule courts although kept very clean could do with updating (loose tap and toilet door lock not working) Pool bar tables inside and outside not very clean attracting lots of flies.
Good size.

The staff at reception are the most helpful, friendly and attentive you’ll find. The camping sites are large, private and impeccable with water points everywhere. The facilities, shower and toilet blocks immaculate and it’s soo nice to turn the shower on and off when finished, not to push every 5 seconds!! Original bar is great, shop is great, pool bar can get busy with kids, and pool could be bigger for the number of people on site, but I appreciate it’s 34 degrees and everyone is trying to cool off! The area is stunning with fields do sunflowers.A truly superb site!
Pool area could be improved, lagoon is only for little ones, would be lovely to have a swimming lake, struggling to find one in the area!
Superb pitch!
Nothing!

Once again we had a ball at La Garanageoire. The landscaping is beautiful, the programme of activities so diverse and inclusive, and the overall feeling and atmosphere is so safe and relaxing. What sets La Garangeoire apart is how warm, gentle, kind and engaging all of the staff are. A special word for the animateurs, Daphne, Arthur and Morgane. Our children loved the kids club, activities and all of the evening entertainment. Our little girl absolutely adored Daphne…she is such a thoughtful, kind and considerate person who went out her way to make sure our shy little girl had a great holiday.
More air conditioned units and spaces. Unfortunately we fear that these heat waves are likely to become more frequent. We really struggled to sleep and would be reluctant to book a mobile without AC in future. Would also suggest some more umbrellas around the pool.
Just to note: we stayed in Orangers, a five person unit. We loved the beautiful plot with a great sense of privacy but also close proximity to the main hub. The unit was very well kitted out and we made good use of the BBQ and cooking facilities.
The lack of AC during the heatwave! We also found the amount of storage in the kids bedroom to be extremely limited. It would have been good to have a little more wardrobe space, even if it was in the living area/kitchen.

The door to the individual sanitation didn’t lock and as a lone female traveller it worried me. I pointed it out several times There was racial tension sparked by football. The behaviour of grown men was appalling Sadly I witnessed domestic abuse on a neighbouring pitch Feels like the site is trying to fill every minute with entertainments and forgetting the benefits of quiet camping The dog field was useful but too small
See above
The site felt like a theme park rather than camping. It’s a shame as I love the other Castel site at Le Man
Ms. Rostill, You stayed on a pitch with a private sanitary unit that locks with a key from the outside and a latch from the inside. Evidently, you missed the latch, and we found no record of any inquiry from you regarding this in our logbook. I find it very surprising that you witnessed inappropriate or improper behavior without reporting it to us. In a family-oriented campsite like ours, we expect a certain sense of community. As for the dog park, this is the first time anyone has told us it is too small! However, it seems to me that the four walking trails available across the property’s 200 hectares offer a significant alternative. It is true that we offer a vast array of activities and entertainment, even in the low season, but these are all organized well away from the accommodation areas, and a 10:30 PM curfew is strictly enforced. I therefore take your description of the site as a "theme park" as a compliment—thank you! In conclusion, we too are very disappointed by your review, but we cannot expect to please everyone.
