Camping La Plage

I have camped in France over many years and this is the best. The friendly, staff work extremely hard to provide a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for people of all ages. The choice of activities for children is excellent including fishing and falconry. The food and drink is delicious including local produce and the gift selection in the reception is well stocked. The evening entertainment is varied with local musicians and exhibitors. The campsite is on the river where canoes can be hired. Local buses stop nearby. We came by public transport. This was our 2nd visit and we will be back.

The night before our arrival there was a major storm bringing down trees and power lines, despite which the team at the campsite kept things going. Out of season so the campsite quiet . Lovely beach on the Dordogne so great for just floating around.

Toilet and shower facilities open to outside and could be cold to use in the mornings. Also lots of dead flies etc around washbasins and shower cubicles which made the area not very nice to use.

Fabian and his team were extremely helpful and welcoming. The toilet blocks were clean and showers were excellent

I personally wouldn’t stay there again for two reasons: it’s predominantly for the French and there was a general lack of tidiness around some pitches that detracted from the site.

Fantastic family run campsite. The site was exceptionally clean and tidy, great pool area and lovely restaurant. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely family run site, helping us with all our requirements. We were parked right next to the river as we requested, with the owner checking everything was satisfactory a couple of hours after settling in. The swimming pool was wonderful. Showers etc great, laundry facilities too. Fresh bread etc can be ordered the day before. Bar area and food all good. I can’t give anything but praise.

Beautiful ares. We had a pitch right by the river which was wonderful. We were able to launch our kayak straight from the site. Very helpful staff who suggested best cycling and kayak routes.

Couple on a clucking holiday , With a small tent . Reception staff friendly and helpful . Wash facilities clean . Restaurant limited choice but very good value .

The site is in a lovely location.Spacious pitches without dividers ..There is a chateau (now a hotel) looking down on the site very picturesque...The river runs alongside the site and is used for canoeing.

The washing machine was not easily accessible..Tokens may be an improvement.

L'ombre, la riviere, la piscine, les animations, le snack, la propreté du camping et des sanitaires sont très appréciable. Propriétaires sympas Nous avons aimé notre séjour dans ce camping.

- Le nombre de wc et de douches insuffisants - le sol sablonneux ( pieds sales quand on sort de la douche et vehicules et affaires extrêmement sales, pleins de poussières de sable) - chiens qui doivent être tenus en laisse alors que ceux des propriétaires se promènent en toute liberté - 1 seule machine à laver (créneau à réserver)

quel accueil chaleureux !!! des gens humains, bienveillants et soucieux du bien être de leurs clients. cela fait du bien !!! Propre, agréable, joyeux !! Seul regret : etant randonneurs, nous n'y avons passé qu'une nuit et nous l'avons regretté sur les campings suivant

Grand emplacement ombragé, camping a côté de la rivière avec une piscine, personnel très sympa et animations chouettes et bien dosées. Ambiance sympa et très familiale.

Premier séjour dans ce camping une équipe au top dynamique agréable et à l'écoute Emplacement nickel pour notre part avec vue sur la rivière, bien plat et suffisamment grand pour se sentir à l'aise et installer tout notre Matos (caravane, auvent, tente des filles... Sanitaire propre Le camping propose des petites animations sympas et conviviales ou des commerçants viennent proposer leurs produits. On y retournera sans hésiter, camping qui selon moi n'a rien à envier aux grandes chaînes qu'on peut trouver aujourd'hui et qui perso ne m'attire pas, Merci à l'équipe

Borne électrique un peu loin mais les propriétaires proposent des câbles gratuitement au besoin pour se relier

Emplacement spacieux la tranquillité l accueil du personnel et la rivière très agréable

Le camping est calme, très ombragé, proche de la Dordogne ce qui offre un beau paysage, piscine propre et de nombreuses activités en journée ou soirée. Le personnel est discret et très agréable.
