The XL pitches are very large and shady. The sanitary facilities are kept very clean, although there are only 5 toilets for the whole campsite. Most importantly, the manager did not overfill the campsite during the busy Tour de France visit to the area. The manager is very friendly and efficient. The local bakery is excellent. This was our fourth stay and we will definitely return.
A few more toilets perhaps
The pitch was large and shady.
Road noise, but we expected that and it wasn't a problem.

I had a great vacation. Campsite is relaxed and well-run.
Had to manage own rubbish in municipal bins outside campsite. As a municipal campsite it would be easier if the external bins bordered the campsite, thereby making then accessible to the people who are generating much of the trash in the local bins.
Friendly, secure.
Would have enjoyed more spacious changing areas in the shower cubicles but this module is common.

The campsite is in a good location; you can go on lots of walks from there and take the cable car straight up into the mountains. There’s a bakery nearby and a small Spar supermarket. The owner certainly does his best, and the campsite is clean and well-maintained.
The campsite definitely doesn’t have enough toilets. The layout isn’t well thought out, so you end up brushing your teeth right next to the toilet. The toilets are mixed, so they aren’t separated by gender, and everything is quite old – it’s in need of a refurbishment. The campsite itself has no waste disposal facilities, and they don’t offer a bread roll service either. The pitches aren’t very well separated from one another; there’s just a small fence here and there. There are no hedges or anything like that to mark out the pitches.
Classic pitch, 2 adults, 1 caravan
Thank you for your feedback. However, you must have misunderstood the information provided—both what you were told and what is written on the campsite's welcome sheet. We have full facilities for motorhomes (waste water disposal, chemical toilet emptying, and fresh water filling). There are also washbasins in private cubicles, separate from the toilets. Without these amenities, we wouldn't qualify as a 2-star campsite. Furthermore, how can you rate the food when you haven't even tasted it? When you return, you will be able to make full use of these facilities and services. Best regards, Jean-Philippe

Sehr schöner kleiner Campingplatz in toller Umgebung. Sehr nette Eigentümer.
Die 4 Toiletten waren zu den Hauptzeiten manchmal ein bisschen wenig.
Schöner großer Stellplatz mit Strom

Nice campsite and we had a lovely pitch. If the sanitary facilities are improved we will definitely come back
The sanitaire facilities are outdated. We were here 11 jears ago too and the facilities weren’t good back toen either. Two toilets in the building where we were staying is far too few.
Pitch perfect

We were at Le Martinet as a base for the Etape du Tour cyling event, and there were lots of other cyclists there. It would be a fantastic base for cycling holidays in general. We were out all day and only back at night. The municipal swimming pool is right next door. The Allemonde area is absolutely beautiful.
We had a lovely pitch for our tent and car - very spacious, flat and quiet on the edge of the site furthest from the road. The campsite as a whole was very quiet (there is a strict policy about no late arrivals) and well maintained, with lots of trees. We were able to borrow an electric cable for a deposit, so could charge our phones. There is a very nice seating area around the reception where you can have a delicious draft beer (and food, although I didn't try this).
The one reason I would not go back to Le Martinet is because personally I do not like mixed-gender facilities. There are two small sanitary blocks, one with just two toilets and one (more recently built?) with three, for use by all genders. There was a queue for the loo at peak times, plus there is no sense of privacy as the washbasins in the newer block are directly in front of the toilet doors. If you have a campervan with your own toilet, this wouldn't be an issue!
Hello, Thank you for your feedback. I am glad to see that you enjoyed your stay. Indeed, the campsite's layout does not allow for a distinction between the ladies' and men's restrooms. I understand that this can be inconvenient. However, there are more facilities than you mentioned; there are also two urinals and an additional toilet at the back of the buildings that remain open at all times. You are not the only one who has missed them; I will make sure they are better signposted.

Very quiet at night, extremely spacious XL pitches, scenic, plenty of shade. Good facilities. Pleasant staff.
Fencing on the side of the urinals- our pitch was adjacent to them. Someone clearing the ground would be good- too many thorny twigs from the trees. Lethal for feet and bike tyres!
Size of the pitch, layout of the site.
The open urinals next to the pitch. Just a door would be good! I appreciate we could turn our van round but difficult given the one way system.

We stayed here to support our daughter at Alpe d’HuZes. A lovely little campsite.
The reception should be reachable by phone.
Just the right size
Knowing where the pitches are for tents and wich are for the motorhomes. The ground can be pretty hard for tents and the spikes.
Hello, Thank you for your visit to our campsite. Indeed, the campsite has pitches with hard surfaces for motorhomes and grassy pitches for tents. When you made your reservation, you received a confirmation email informing you that in June the reception was open from 4 pm to 8 pm. You arrived before 4 pm, after the reception had closed, without our permission, on a pitch reserved for motorhomes (therefore with a hard surface). If you had followed the instructions and waited for the reception to open, I would have placed you on a grassy pitch for tents. Hoping to see you again next year.
