We’ve been visiting every year for about 25 years and it improves every year. The family invest in improving the site and it’s just about perfect. The pitches are shady, and this is great in the heat of summer. The location on the dordogne means we can swim in the river and relax on the pebble beach. Over the bridge is one of the most beautiful villages in France. The owners are great and know how to help everyone get the most out of the campsite. The owners have found an amazing team of staff to help run the site, shop, bar and restaurant.

Perhaps a pathway around the camping ground towards river,damp underfoot when going to toilet and shower block.

Beautiful campsite, we were able to pick our own pitch. Huge pitch with water and electric. Facilities were better than many places. Staff were helpful, bar was open and lovely to sit outside and enjoy the peace. Good that pool etc was still open even though it was very near the end of the season. Good location to explore by bicycle. Would recommend to others.
Only issue we had was the noise and mess caused by a group of German school kids staying in the camping fields. They abused the facilities and were allowed to wander around being noisy very late, and very early. Not the fault of the site, more lack of discipline by the teachers.

We loved Port de Limeuil, we had a pitch down by the river, lovely sound to drift off to sleep to. The whole campsite is really well cared for and run, and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The small bins given to us for recycling and food waste were a great idea. We will be back!

This is an exceptional site - the setting near the river, the bar, restaurant and the very amenable owners of the site make this a very good place to stay. A truly lovely swimming pool and the most beautiful views of Limeuil from the side of the river. This site is truly a gem!

Large and sunny with water and electricity.
A bit muddy in the mornings but it had been damp and rainy and it was the second half of September. The very lovely things about the site more than compensated for this.

We liked the large pitch, close proximity of hook-up, water & washing facilities and really appreciated the extensive recycling on offer including composting (the first time seen at a camp site). The site, pool & facilities were well kept & clean. Good proximity to the river, village of Limeuil, some footpaths & activities.

We only stayed for one night as we were travelling south. Could easily have stayed longer. Lovely location by the river and the old village a short walk away. Facilities and welcome faultless. It is a large site but we had plenty of space and the amenities were great. Very friendly reception too. We had burgers at the restaurant which were delicious. Everything you need. Lots of Brits there as it is the Dordogne, so quite touristy. Not for you if you want feel off the beaten track. But excellent grounds and facilities.
The restaurant staff were a little off hand as if rather bored with British tourists speaking poor French, that was the only slight negative.
We had several pitches to chose from with lots of space. Nice soft ground for tent pegs! We went by the river which was very relaxing. No problem with midges.
It was end of season so the ground was pretty well used and did leave our tent mucky underneath but only to be expected. The weather had been unsettled.

Loved the ample size of the pitches with lovely outlooks.The river with the beaches was fabulous and a short stroll across the two rivers into the beautiful old town of Limeuil. The restaurants menu was varied and food excellent as was the bar. A lovely shop and pleasant welcoming staff.
Internet access could be better but have had worse elsewhere.

Lovely campsite. Good casual food and drinks in the bar and snack areas. Pool looked good but I did not go in. Fantastic views of limeuil from the river. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again
Increasing the areas of hardstanding on some of the pitches might be a good idea.After heavy rain some pitches became very muddy.

The location is fabulous. So peaceful and a very short walk into Limeuil. A great off-road walk into Le Bugue (9 miles there and back). The site is wonderful. Very friendly owners/staff, great facilities, nice open spaces. Pool Is fabulous.

We had a pitch opposite the motorhome service point, which was a bit smelly.

We love the atmosphere, the attention to detail, the pool and bar and of course the river location. Our favourite site that we’ve been returning to for over 20 years says it all!!!
The hot water in the newly refurbished block sometimes goes scalding hot without reason?

Nice welcome, beautiful location, all you need available onsite. There was plenty to keep the kids happy, one of the nicest campsites we have had the pleasure of staying at. Though we were not camping this time and had the La Boheme option. We will definitely be back! Fabulous place!
Perfect for holidays, good space to sit and relax, and the kids could lie on their beds on their phones and still felt they were sitting with us.
Not a dislike…would like a little more wardrobe space, and our outdoor area was in shade all day.

We have been staying at limeuil for 22 years firstly with our children and now with our grandchildren. We know that it is a clean, homely and safe environment for our family and that the region has something for everyone.
Occasional smell from drains this year but it was towards the end of the season.

The site has everything we needed for a lovely relaxing family holiday. It was brilliant to have the pool and the river to choose from everyday. The restaurant, bar and entertainment were lovely and there is a well stocked shop. The toilets and showers were always clean and I used the laundry which was very efficient.
Some more lighting on the park in the evening would be good.
We had a camping pitch for our caravan. It was very spacious and shaded by the trees which kept the van nice and cool.
I would have liked a bit more sun on our pitch, bit that is just my personal preference.

We've been to the Dordogne several times but this was by far the best site we have stayed at The site is a rural oasis The facilities maintained to an extremely high standard Friendly n helpful staff. Pool, shop restaurant/ bar, right on the river, looking across to picturesque Limeuil ( short walk across the bridges where the two rivers meet ) 9 lovely tranquil, relaxing nights Perfect for families, spacious, play areas n the safe, enjoyable river. We just did not want to leave Port de Limeuil. Coming back next summer. Clinton Ada n Jodie
