Camping aux Cygnes d'Opale

Site was very well maintained

Very disturbed night caused by a large gang of youths on the adjacent sports complex. At one point they were banging on our motorhome and the disturbance went on until almost 3 am.

Eight years after first discovering Camping Aux Cygnes d’Opale, my return visit proved to be all that I’d expected. In the wake of COVID, I wanted to return to France, but was unwilling to try somewhere new - and Blangy satisfied most, if not all, of my criteria. Its proximity to town and shopping, its situation with lakes all around - ideal for evening strolls, near to the seaside - yet in the countryside, magnificent forest on the doorstep, with history - from châteaux to WWII - waiting to be discovered!

Although generally peaceful, the overnight motorhome area adjacent to the site could be quite noisy - as were the local youths at night! Most guests were respectful of camp ‘rules’, but there’s always someone who doesn’t believe the regulations apply to them! “I’m on holiday, I’ll do what I want” attitude is getting to be more prevalent in all walks of life - camping is no exception!
