We booked as it seemd the most convenient camp site for visiting the many places of interest and all of the entertainment activities available between Le Harvre and Cherbourg. One activity not to be missed is self flying a Helium filled 'Aeroplume' (Mini Airship) inside a giant airship hangar at nearby Ecaussaville. Owners very helpful and all facilities kept spotless. Centre of Carentan and its station are about 1km but its flat and a a pleasant walk.
Sampled this pitch type at the Flower site at Vennes so was so pleasd to see it also on offer at Haut Dick when we decided to move on the Normandy. The providion of a kitchen and bathroom in a small hut on the pitch makes the who; camping experience so much more comfortable. All of the pitched at HD are flat and mostly quite private with many have dividing hedges on 3 sides.
Food not available in the bar on nights that outside vendors were on site.

The manager was a rude and unhelpful man. We had a ferry to catch but were unable to leave before 7:00 as gates are locked and he wouldn’t open early.
Large pitch
The pitch we were on was very open, when we asked if we could move the response was no! There are some great pitches so check the layout and request specific pitches. We were also close to the reception/bar and it was quite noisy. The quiet after 10:00 pm seemed to be ignored.

Easy walking distance through pretty port to bars, restaurants and the town of Carentan. Facilities were all kept very clean and the pool was a nice to have.
We were surprised at being asked for a €20 deposit for shower and barrier passes. We totally understand why but a warning on our booking confirmation would have been very helpful.
We were given a very nice pitch backing onto the race course and close to the facilities. If we were to go again we would ask for the same pitch if it was available.

Friendly staff, spoke good English which was brilliant, really clean caravan, a no hassle holiday, lovely pizza in the restaurant, we will obviously return soon probably in our motor home. Good size fridge freezer.
Recliner chairs instead of deckchairs please for comfort. Could you provide a cafetière.
Loved the view of the canal. Having the fly screens on the bedroom windows was fantastic. Lovely and quiet.
Lack of space around the main bed. Would have a fly screen at the living room window too.

Pleasant campsite with very helpful and friendly staff. Nice pitch with shade which was clean and a good size. We had private facilities which were also very clean. Nice bar and pizza was great.

Very impressed with how clean it was and shower had good pressure and hot water. Fridge very useful and when we stayed it was very hot
Hated the door of unit would prefer proper door found undoing and doing up a nuisance

Well located for the town and walks along the canal. Big, grassy, pitches with hedges between giving privacy. Communal facilities but shower system was over complicated. You needed a card to activate the water. Covered pool with roof not fully open during our stay with 30 degree plus temps - the pool area was like a sauna.

The campsite is perfect, not too big and every thing is there. The surroundings (Carentan, nature. Sea and invasion-beaches) are very well to experience by bike or car. Unfortinuly it was too hot, so we have to leave.

The team are helpful and friendly. We chose the site for the location. close to Carentan town.The site is clean and well maintained, pitches large and flat with privacy. We look forward to staying with you again later in the summer. Thank you.

Welcoming and helpful Reception. Very clean modern environmentally friendly facilities with lovely hot water. Excellent Bar with food and Carentan itself has much to offer walkers and cyclists combinetwithe easy access to the Normandy landing beaches.

We had stayed on the site before but were not prepared for the outstanding D Day preparations that were underway. The event meant that the prices were much higher than we had expected.
The facilities were very well prepared and mainta8ned.
The attitude of some of the campers, cyclists in the main. They used the facilities inappropriately to wash their equipment and in some cases eat their meals.

Lovely site, access to many cycling routes adjacent to camping and Carentan is a very nice town.
There are benches to prepare food and good seating options along with a pool.
The lights come on in the shower blocks at night and some of the sites get that dark to light experience. This largely depends on the site you get
