Camping Le Rocher de la Cave

Great family run campground. Fantastic staff, both at the front desk and restaurant. Basics available at the front desk, such as Beer, wine, chips, and baguettes. What else do you need. The restaurant can cover the rest. If you need more, the small village of Carsac, just a few minutes away, has a wonderful bakery, butcher, and a Spar. Water access is perfect, plant yourself in a chair, go for a swim, bask in the sun, and walk up to the bar for a beverage. Great group of people who visit the campsite, very respectful, the kids love it. I would recommend it to anyone.

Gezellige camping, gemoedelijk en overzichtelijk. Veel Nederlanders. Veel kinderen in alle leeftijden ( ook heel leuk voor tieners). Heel schoon sanitair, mooie rivier. Je mag kampvuurtje maken in avond bij de rivier. Kwartier van plaats Sarlat. Kanovaren kan vanaf de camping. Meerdere grotten in de buurt. Hebben een erg leuke vakantie gehad!

Misschien iets meer verlichting op park in avond/nacht. Verder helemaal tevreden!

Just a great place to stay with small children

We loved the lively atmosphere, size and layout of the campsite. It’s a busy place with lots of kids, but you can choose between the busy woodland area near the river beach and restaurant or the quieter area beyond the pool and reception area.

Voor de vijfde keer nu op deze heerlijke camping!. Opnieuw genoten van de gemoedelijke sfeer en geweldige omgeving. Hopelijk blijft deze camping nog jaren zo!

Een hele leuke camping. Leuk zwembad en de camping ligt aan de Dordogne met een groot kiezelstrand. Je kon hier prima in dobberen op een band of luchtbed omdat het niet snel stroomt. Onze zoon van 15 had gelijk aansluiting met leeftijdsgenoten. Savonds maakten ze een kampvuur op het strand . Wij logeerden in een Cabana. Prima bevallen. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Er hangt een gezellige ongedwongen sfeer op de camping.

De sfeer op de camping is top, groen en ruimtelijk opgezet, goed en schoon sanitair, fijn strandje en goede horeca

Really nice people, very helpful. Everything was clean. And with the pool and river it never feels really crowded. A nice place to stay!

A drying rack for the dishes, but that is the only thing and not really a big problem.

Tranquil and beautiful under the shade of the trees, fantastic viewing and swimming spot on the river. Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic place to stay. We always come back.

friendly helpful staff, clean and well kept site. the staff we're very helpful, when my wife asked for another cooking pot, although she could not speak French, she mimed with the help of a small pot.

a bit more entertainment at the bar, the only entertainment was the Monday evening Mules & Frites followed by the music band later.

We stayed in a Sahari tent and it was perfect - had everything we needed for a short stay. Campsite facilities are excellent.

I wasn't sure what sort of bedding, if any, was provided and glad we bought our own.

position of campsite was fantastic , on banks of Dordogne river. We were able to have campfires on the beach and there was a great party/rock concert held on Monday nights, really fun for the whole family

We found there was often a queue for the toilets and sometimes no toilet paper or soap to wash hands.

Beautiful setting with river beach, pool, small farm and skatepark. Great for kids, clean toilets and showers. Freezer for freezer packs!

No soap in the loos, we used to having loo seats.

Beach, river, swimmingpool, playground for the kids, beautiful surrounding where you can walk the dog, lot of castles and medieval city’s nearby

We really enjoyed our stay. The facilities at the site were excellent and the cleanliness of the facilities was excellent. The location of our pitch was perfect.

As this a family site, there should be consideration to having a curfew at least by 23:30. The two nights when there was a band playing at the restaurant, although very good should in my opinion finish at or close to 23:00. There were issues with loud talking from a couple of pitches past 01:30 in the morning, but this was not the norm in our experience.

Friendly staff, clean, great location (river, hiking, cycling, canoe, sarlat), great pool and beach. Fantastic atmosphere. We are guests since 2001 and come back to this site every few years.
