Evaluations that are not older than three years and have undergone a verification process. More infoStaff were amazing. Location was breathtaking. River is cold but great fun. Onside pool was nice and warm. Shop has lots of things. Onside restaurant served great food. Toilets and showers were spotless. Great cleaning. Loved the bee hotel (aka compost bin). Fantastic to watch your food waste disappearing!
Charging for card payments under 15 euros was strange. Maybe a thing in france? Free WiFi would be nice. Shop open all day till late.
Very quiet. Very spacious. Close to everything.
Quite stony but when it rained, it was a blessing as the other pitches were very slippy and flooded.

Clean sanitary, fresh water and lots of staff that will help you with all your needs. We came here to explore the canyon and the staff will help you everyday to explain your options which is super helpful. Restaurant and shop are open most of the time and have lots to choose from.
Big pitch with shadow covarage and easily accessible by campervan.
Ground is very dry so quite difficult to slam things into the ground.

A fantastic region for a summer holiday, and a lovely site to base ourselves. There was a lot to do in the region - more than we could fit in - and the Gorge was absolutely stunning. The campsite is the perfect combination of tranquil/natural/beautiful and with activities to entertain a young teenager (riding the river, pool, petanque, table tennis). All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful, and the little shop was good for morning bread etc.
Very convenient to have services on the pitch, and it was a nice surprise to have a kitchen sink and fridge as well as the toilet and shower. When we had a problem the staff came immediately to fix it.
Our pitch was a slightly awkward shape (corner with trees), and the private sanitary was up three steps, which was a bit annoying for getting things in/out of the fridge when cooking. Our shower wasn't great - we did out best to fix it. The lockable shutter was also missing on our pitch, but we didn't feel the need for it.

WE enjoyed our stay with beau tidily view on the verdon. Chasteuil is a beautiful village which gives a nice remote feeling. We believed the pool would be opened and were disappointed, probably too early in the season. The grocery didn’t offer much products either for the same reason but that is not what had been communicated.
A rock was I front of our ecolodge in the river we really enjoyed spending time on it. We had everything we needed as minimal which was good. It can obviously get cold and humid as there is no heater - I guess same can be when very hot. Beware if the flies / insects

A perfect secluded hideaway next to the river provided a very peaceful stop over in between the rugby mayhem ! Super friendly & helpful staff & a lovely pitch for our T5 & event shelter. Thank you.
Not that we can think of.
As mentioned - the pitches are very spacious & all have electric hook up. We have a T5 and a 4.5m x 4.5m Coleman event shelter set up. There was plenty of room.
Nothing of note.

Beautiful place, friendly staff, perfect for the children and we would love to return again next year!
We had some quite noisy neighbours, which spoiled the peace and tranquility of such a beautiful place. When the toilets were cleaned daily it was a long walk to other facilities, especially in the heat! Perhaps you could keep just one or two toilets open whilst cleaning the others. For children it was a long walk when they need the toilet!
Flat, plenty of shade, easy access to electricity and close to toilets etc
Our river view plot was set back quite far from the river and perhaps shouldn’t have been a river spot but a central?

Setting, location, nature, river beside our campsite, very nice ladies running reception and supermarket
- Motorcycle noise from nearby road is often quite loud - On site restaurant / snack bar doesnt look inviting - Neighbours too close, no separation from next pitch.
Great pitch, right beside the river and still near reception
No hedges or trees separate the pitch from the neighbours. This should be standard, in our opinion. Especially when the neighbours have a large motorhome or a trailer, it feels too close, even though this is a XXL pitch!
Hello ! Thank you for taking the time to review the campsite :) We're so happy to read that you enjoyed the setting, location nature and river beside the pitches :) Regading the hedges separating the pitches, it is a choice from us :) For us camping is also about conviviality :) We do have some pitches with hays in zone Center and the pitches in zone Hauteurs also have a lot of privacy :) Regards ! Nina

The location, the peaceful aura and calmness and being close to nature. The kid enjoyed it too.
Nothing really, everything was perfect during our stay. It was a bit far from Monaco but it was worth the drive.it would be perfect if the area for pitches were we stayed is full of grass and not just soil. Nonetheless everything was perfect and i would still highly recommend it.
The place is so peaceful and calm. Sleeping with the sound of nature, birds chirping, current of the river flowing was so relaxing. The price for the tent was reasonable, they have mini supermarket for the basic things you need. Friendly staff, nice mini park for the kids, heated pool, clean toilets, clean showers, spacious area for the kids to play and run freely.
As a recommendation they should have tables to eat around the places for the tent. That would be great.
Oh thank you :) It means a lot to us :) We're glad you enjoyed the location, the quietness and the nature. It's very important to us :) Indeed the pitches in zone Verdon are not very grassy but it's because the river which is soooo close to the pitches bring so much sand that the grass can't hold :( We do have picnic table at the bbq area next to the terrain de pétanque :) Have a great day ! Nina

The site is lovely and has a real charm to it. The location is outstanding and it has a real natural feel to it. The river is extremely relaxing and a great way to spend time cooling off on a hot day. Staff are friendly and helpful and the amenities are clean.
There were 2 areas that I think need addressing. The first is the bakery offer at the shop. One of the best bits of a holiday in France is enjoying the superb quality bread. Unfortunately the baguettes sold at the shop are the worst I've ever tasted in France. This meant that I had to travel into Castellane to buy bread most days. I used Le Fournil which were truly excellent. The second is the onsite restaurant. Last time I visited this was busy and made excellent pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven. Now it's very poor and the pizzas are not good.
Location and outlook with plenty of shade
Could do with being a bit larger and there were a lot of stones on the pitch, making it easy to damage your groundsheet

Fantastic pitch, right by the river. Spacious. Easy access to water and electricity. Great location for exploring Gorges du Verdon and surrounding area
No wifi. Cost us a lot of money in extra roaming charges. Despite notices saying that the showers/toilets etc were cleaned four times a day, the facilities were often not very clean. There was no cold water available in the wash basins and ironically there was no direct supply of hot water to the washing up sinks, just a single hose sticking out of the wall with a tap on it for hot water by the sinks which you had to use to fill up a bucket or bowl to take to your sink. It's a shame. Some of the notices and advertisements were several years out of date and untidy
Superb spacious pitch with good electricity supply and easy access to water. Great location right by the river. Level pitch.
