We spent 10 nights with the most incredible view. Everything was great. A beautiful place and nice people at the reception.

The campground, with its large sites, is very well-maintained, and the staff is very friendly. The area is a hiker’s paradise. At night, all you can hear is the river, even though the road is nearby and the campground is therefore easily accessible. Great services, such as the bakery van that comes by every morning at 9:00.
If we could make a request, we would like the restroom cleaning times to be spread out a bit, rather than having all the restrooms closed at the same time.
We have a VW bus and had plenty of space; the spot itself was a bit sloped, but we were able to level it out easily. The view from the campsites is breathtaking. The restroom facilities are very centrally located relative to all the campsites.

Wir haben zwei wunderschöne Wochen auf dem Campingplatz im Chalet Gentiane verbracht und sind begeistert von der Gegend und den vielfältigen Möglichkeiten dort. Wir waren Klettern, Wandern, Radfahren und Schwimmen und sind natürlich auch mit der Gondel auf die Aiguille du Midi gefahren. Der Campingplatz selbst ist sehr schön gelegen, recht klein und familiär und alle waren sehr nett. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden auf jeden Fall nochmal wiederkommen!
Es gibt eigentlich nichts zu bemängeln, außer dass man überall für ein großes Bier mindestens 8 Euro zahlt. Aber Chamonix ist eben insgesamt recht hochpreisig, darüber sollte man sich klar sein.
Das Chalet Gentiane liegt etwas zurückversetzt und abgeschirmt hinter Bäumen. Von der Terrasse hat man trotzdem einen tollen Blick Richtung Mont Blanc. Das Chalet selbst ist einfach eingerichtet aber mit viel Stauraum und es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Das Bett ist für ein Mobilheim recht bequem, die Dusche ist ausreichend groß und wir hatten jederzeit warmes Wasser. Die Lage ist perfekt, es gibt einen tollen Fahrradweg ins Zentrum von Chamonix und auch sonst ist man überall schnell hingefahren. Der Bäcker hat sehr leckeres Brot und auch die abendlichen Foodtrucks waren sehr gut.
Der Blick von der Terrasse war toll, ein paar Liegestühle wären aber noch schön gewesen. Und man sollte ein Verlängerungskabel mit Mehrfachsteckdosen mitbringen, Steckdosen gibt es nicht so viele im Chalet und auch keine draußen.

We had an excellent stay again at this fabulous campsite in an amazing location. We were fortunate to be there when there was a pianist accompanying dinner which was lovely. Food in the restaurant is excellent quality and Calpe for money also. Creme Brulee is the best we've had and is one of the reasons we keep going back!

We had a perfect campingspot with view of the Mont Blanc and the glaciers. Clean toilets and showers, bakery comes Evert morning and foodtrucks in the evenings. Owner and staff are very nice people. We had a perfect staat.
We had a tent for 4 and a car. Place was big enough with a little room to spare. Neighbours are close but because of the trees and bushes, you have privacy.

Nice level pitch, our pitch(61) also felt quite private (which we liked). Facilities were clean. Absolutely fantastic location for accessing Chamonix.
Hook up points nearer to pitches as our quite long cable didn’t reach, we had to hire a longer one to plug up!

This was our 2nd visit to Les Marmottes, Catherine and Yves couldn't be more welcoming. The site is very well kept and in an excellent location. We love the surrounding area and there is lots to do.

The pitches are well kept and maintained, access can be challenging.
I'm always nervous of the low, narrow railway bridge that you have to navigate to access the site. I wouldn't attempt this if we had an 8ft wide caravan.

I had a great week at Les Marmottes camping. From my rooftop tent I had an awesome view at the Mt. Blanc. The facilities at the camping were in very good conditions. The people are very friendly and if you have a question, you get immediately an answer and help. I will definitely come back. Thank you so much ☺️

Amazing view and flexible staff. Great location, very close to Cham. A few food trucks come every night for dinner which is very handy when you don’t want to cook. Affordable place to stay.
Old camping that needs to be upgraded. Old fashioned mobile home, old decor, deck not maintained. Playground needs an upgrade too.

Brilliant location and atmosphere- staff are great and the pitch was perfect for our set up - stones throw from local transport and given a free train pass which was brilliant and helpful. Plenty of walks out of the campsite if needed and we will be back!!! 👍👍👍👌😃
If I had any suggestion not complaint. I would like toilet seats on toilets and maybe split male and female toilets and showers. Didn’t bother me but I could see the female side of the camp was bothered by it.

We stayed for a week during our hiking trips
We really enjoyed our stay and the atmosphere. The surrounding view is stunning of course. I can't say enough good things about the reception after a friend could join us very spontaneously even though the camp ground was full. Everything was clean and well maintained.
