Camping L'Ile aux Mille Charmes

Just one night but we managed to cycle along the canal and river which was enjoyable. Pitch easy to park in and quite flat and reasonably slide to river. Surprised that road blocked to campsite when we arrived. An email mentioning the work and what to do would have been helpful.

Make more of the pitches along the river and offer those for number selection rather than random allocation. Hedges and tree cover between pitches. Used closer sanitaire 2 block which was small. No toilet paper in toilets was a surprise as all other sites we stayed at had them. Only one wash bay at toilets. Sinks would be useful in toilet bays. Add soap to open end wash up basins. Do you need 33% disabled toilets that are locked?

This site worked well for us as we moved from South to North France. I would recommend cycling along the canal & river. Good new block for showers. Close to a local park for exercising your dog.

Excellent campsite in a great position close to the toll free road heading to Switzerland. Good walks along side the canal. Will use this site again.

Large, grassy plots were well spaced to give a quiet experience. The site was easy to book and the facilities were clean and adequate.

It would be better to have toilet paper in the bathrooms.

Location is great, nestled between 2 rivers with only a short walk into the village. Shower and toilet blocks are very clean. Guy at check-in was great, very helpful, polite and patient.

Limited amount of shade, we were fortunate because it was not busy.

We booked this site for one night, and it was just what we needed. Clean, peaceful, with adorable owners and large pitches. We definitely would suggest to use their booking system to get fresh bread delivered in the morning: DELICIOUS!

Maybe expanding the toilets/showers, there was just a little bit of a queue on a hot day

This is a large site in a superb position good facilities very well maintained. I loved be able to order bread, croissants and other bakery items to be ready for you first thing in the morning.

It was only about 20/25% occupied, I would guess when it's full it may be a bit manic but low/mid season it really suited us

The setting was beautiful, the facilities were great and clean with lovely hot water. You could even pre order your bread 🥖 and croissants 🥐 for pickup at 8:00am. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. Liz & Dean

Very little English spoken but you can get by easy. Learn French a little it helps.
