Camping - Caravaneige L'Oustalet

First time we have stayed at L’Oustalet and we will be back! They have thought of everything to make a campervan skiing holiday as carefree and comfortable as it gets! From hot, clean showers to boot and drying rooms, and less than 10 minutes walk to the nearest lift, or 2 minutes on a free bus. Even has a pool and a sauna but we didn’t bring our swimmers so couldn’t take advantage sadly. Also only a 20-30 minute walk into the centre of Chatel or again get the free bus, the number 2 stops right outside the campsite entrance! We have stayed in many campsites, this is one of the best by far!

Only recommendation would be a bar and a small shop?

The cabin was clean, warm and well equipped. The campsite facilities were also excellent.

Have a shower to wash and shampoo after a swim, but this is just a nice to have as literally everything is done so well. I don't understand why it isn't 4 or 5 star.

The location was perfect for the ski lifts. The accomodation was good with lots of facilities on site.

Everything is perfect, and all facilities are of such a high standard whilst you feel like you are living in the mountains.

The site is conveniently situated for the free ski bus. The people who operate the site are really friendly, helpful and speak English. A bonus to anyone whose command of French is limited. The added bonus of a good sized indoor pool helped ease of the aches after a day skiing. Although the ski room wasn’t heated, the boot room was equipped with sufficient boot dryers.

It would be helpful to have access to fresh water on site but I understand the outside taps were shut off because of the danger of freezing.

A great campsite that has everything you need and in a perfect location for skiing, with the bus stop at the entrance of the site.

It is at the quiet end of town with not a lot going on, so if you want any life you will need to go into Chatel town centre, but don’t expect a lot!

Booked solo trip last minute skiing , this place came highly recommended on social media forums so I Booked it. Amazing facilities for drying and storage of ski gear, super clean toilets and a fantastic pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. 20 min walk into fantastic little town. 5 min from chair lift that takes you to 100s of miles of Amazing runs of the portes Du Soleil area. Free shuttle bus stops right outside campsite if you don't fancy the walk and feeds round the whole village.
