We didn’t stay

We arrived at 2pm and unfortunately reception wasn’t open till 4. We had a look around and the site looked like it was ready to close for the season. It looked very tatty and the toilets weren’t clean and the whole site didn’t look welcoming so we decided not to stay even though we had paid for 2 nights.

My booking said check in at 3pm, we had to be somewhere at 4. There were others waiting to check in too. Reception didn’t open until 4, and the phone went to answerphone. We gad to leave the van outside the camp to go to our meeting. Managed to ring reception while out and get code and pitch number. We didn’t get back to the site until 10.30pm when it was dark and hard to find our pitch. Great staff at the bar restaurant, very helpful and friendly, a nice atmosphere at the site.

Better communication, I messaged several times re check in and got no reply.

Proximity to centre ville, excellent site location, campsite very picturesque, large camp pitch under trees with electric supply, site amenities excellent and clean. Staff very friendly and very accommodating. Restaurant and food very good. A very enjoyable stay.

We've have been coming to Camping de Cognac for many years as a family, and this was the first time of bringing my granddaughter for a family holiday. The food was lovely in the cafe. The pool was lovely too.

There were no lights working on the campsite in the evening - it was pitch black. The showers were cold. No access to baby area. When we had a meal at the cafe, we were charged for an extra steak and two alcoholic drinks which we didn't have.

Make sure all the pitches are numbered to save people driving round and round looking for their pitch

We can not fault the staff. They went over and above the the normal service we normally get. Always going out of their way to make our stay a happy and enjoyable one.

Campsite a walk from festival, good food nice owner and facilities

Arrived and looked around,, First impression,,old sofa and arm chairs being used as seating for the snack bar !!!?? Pool green and obviously not used . One toilet block with hot water not not been cleaned for weeks judging by the debris and cobwebs present,,2nd toilet block with no hot water ( under repair) Also not very clean ..The whole site looked and felt neglected and we did not feel comfortable there…so we left

Cleaners for toilets and handwash soap . Dispenser but was told had run out and didn’t have time to go to shops . 3 nights stay but not refilled

Nous avons commis une erreur car nous avons réservé 2 emplacements au lieu d'un seul. malgré un message pour demander l'annulation envoyé 30 secondes après, le gérant n'a jamais voulu nous rembourser. il nous a informé qu'il adressait une demande au siège. Depuis le mois d'aout : Pas de nouvelles !! Le jour de notre arrivée : La piscine fermée en raison d'une panne de filtration et un accueil bien peu agréable... Je doute fortement de l’honnêteté de ce monsieur. Dommage car le site est plutôt agréable.

Réception très agréable. Sanitaire très propre. Vraiment un petit séjour agréable avec les espaces de jeux. Pour enfants et la guinguette très agréable. Juste l espaces de vidange camping-car a améliorer.

Camping relativement proche du centre ville (moins de 3 km à pied sur terrain plat). Nous avons suivi un chemin qui borde la Charente et qui nous amène aux portes du centre ville. Chemin très agréable et ludique. Belle découverte de la ville de Cognac qui mérite vraiment le détour. Camping très calme en bord de Charente. Sanitaires propres, eau chaude pour la douche et la vaisselle. Très bon accueil à notre arrivée.

Le calme ,l accueil sympathique, les installations simples et efficaces, la propreté des lieux,le prix de la nuitée,l environnement ....c était vraiment une pause très agréable.

Bien situé , proximité de Cognac à vélo ou même à pied!

Uns hat die Freundlichkeit unserer Gastgeber und das kleine Restaurant, bzw die kleine Bar gut gefallen. Die großen schattigen Plätze mitten in einem waldartigen Areal und die Nähe zu Cognac, man erreicht die Stadt mit dem Fahrrad über einem Radweg an der Charonde, tragen zum Charme des Campingplatzes bei.
