Peaceful shaded campsite with a lovely pool.

Facilities were clean
Not very secure. We had a pitch near the bar. Was very noisy. The bar is open to public which means it’s not very safe

Was given pitch 7 . We couldn’t find a pitch 7. Very small pitch and not at all private

Mature parkland close to and a lovely walk into Cognac.
The services block whilst old were clean and functional albeit hot water was erratic.
Parkland feel and space for our dog in low season.

We didn’t stay
We arrived at 2pm and unfortunately reception wasn’t open till 4. We had a look around and the site looked like it was ready to close for the season. It looked very tatty and the toilets weren’t clean and the whole site didn’t look welcoming so we decided not to stay even though we had paid for 2 nights.

My booking said check in at 3pm, we had to be somewhere at 4. There were others waiting to check in too. Reception didn’t open until 4, and the phone went to answerphone. We gad to leave the van outside the camp to go to our meeting. Managed to ring reception while out and get code and pitch number. We didn’t get back to the site until 10.30pm when it was dark and hard to find our pitch. Great staff at the bar restaurant, very helpful and friendly, a nice atmosphere at the site.
Better communication, I messaged several times re check in and got no reply.

Proximity to centre ville, excellent site location, campsite very picturesque, large camp pitch under trees with electric supply, site amenities excellent and clean. Staff very friendly and very accommodating. Restaurant and food very good. A very enjoyable stay.

We've have been coming to Camping de Cognac for many years as a family, and this was the first time of bringing my granddaughter for a family holiday. The food was lovely in the cafe. The pool was lovely too.
There were no lights working on the campsite in the evening - it was pitch black. The showers were cold. No access to baby area. When we had a meal at the cafe, we were charged for an extra steak and two alcoholic drinks which we didn't have.
The pitch was a good size - 92C. This is my favourite pitch after staying in other ones over the years.
I paid a lot of money per night to have cold showers and there was no accessible baby area - but one of the members of staff bought over a plastic sand pit so that we could bath my granddaughter on our last day.

We can not fault the staff. They went over and above the the normal service we normally get. Always going out of their way to make our stay a happy and enjoyable one.

Arrived and looked around,, First impression,,old sofa and arm chairs being used as seating for the snack bar !!!?? Pool green and obviously not used . One toilet block with hot water not not been cleaned for weeks judging by the debris and cobwebs present,,2nd toilet block with no hot water ( under repair) Also not very clean ..The whole site looked and felt neglected and we did not feel comfortable there…so we left

Good afternoon, For your information I make the cleaning twice a day everydays. In our camping we normally don't have to put a handwash soap dispenser, anyway I'm going to try to put one in each sanitary but for your information it is not an obligation. Le sommeil n'est pas respecté jusqu'à 4h du matin nous n'avons pas pu fermer l'oeil car des personnes ivres circulaient avec des jolis mots bien sales dans la bouches !!!!!!! Mes 4 enfants de 4 à 13 ans en gardent un malheureux souvenir !!! Le bar est chip, mais ouf on peu s'assoir sur des coussins trempé et troués ;))))
quelqu'un qui veille à rappeler les consignes de respect avant l'encaissement. Le camping étant situé près de la ville il serait bon de rappeler l'essentiel...

Nous sommes sincèrement navrés de lire votre ressenti. Nous sommes toutefois étonnés par votre commentaire concernant des nuisances sonores jusqu'à 4 h du matin. Nous sommes présents sur le camping et, si nous avions constaté une telle situation, nous serions bien entendu intervenus immédiatement afin de faire respecter le règlement et la tranquillité de nos clients. Par ailleurs, un numéro d'urgence est affiché sur le tableau d'information ainsi que dans les sanitaires. Il est possible de nous contacter à tout moment, y compris par SMS ou via WhatsApp, en précisant simplement votre nom et votre numéro d'emplacement. Cela nous permet d'intervenir rapidement dès qu'un problème est signalé. Nous regrettons que vous ne nous ayez pas contactés durant votre séjour, car nous aurions fait le nécessaire pour remédier à la situation. Nous vous remercions néanmoins d'avoir pris le temps de partager votre expérience et prenons votre remarque en considération.
