We liked all aspects of this site.
We stayed our motorhome. The pitch we chose was flat, a good size and within easy access of the services.
The trees, essential for shade in the summer, block out the sun in September.

We stayed overnight at this wonderful campsite on the way to the Channel ferry port. We loved the large pitches and the neat and tidy appearance of the whole campsite. Lovely restaurant and bar and the toilet facilities were brilliant. All in all this site is thorough recommended. Situated in beautiful part of France and would be well worth a much longer stay..

A lot of motorhomes turned on the heating and we were fully booked: a first for us! So things really picked up. It was an opportunity for us to discover this little technical problem, which we're going to sort out this winter ;) See you next time with pleasure !

Pitches seemed small compared to many campsites that we have stayed at. At the time of our visit the campsite was very crowded.

Our Comfort pitches measure between 80 and 120 m², and we also have Privilege pitches measuring between 140 and 180 m², which are appreciated by our holidaymakers who prefer larger pitches. A well run site in a beautiful location on the edge of a river - but that doesn’t do it full justice! The site itself is well set out among trees with decent size largely level grass pitches. The sanitary facilities are a little basic but clean with a good flow of hot water in the showers. There is a lovely restaurant on the site which we ate at both nights of our stay. The real magic is the location with stunning riverside walks and cycle rides for kilometres as well as boat rides and lovely bars, cafes and restaurants in the local town.

The site was full but didn’t feel overcrowded and our pitch was quiet and had plenty of space among the trees.

Lovely location, nice shaded porch which we requested. Good kids playground. Peaceful site. Fun live music event.
Cleaner bathrooms with better working flushes. Hand driers. Filling of holes in shower cubicle partitions. Certain individuals (Lea) hospitality and manners could be improved. Cold swimming pool with too few sun beds. Kids pool could do with some equipment to make it more fun for the little ones. Kids in the jacuzzi when they shouldn’t be. Disappointed some of the entertainment didn’t cater for foreign languages.

Friendly reception staff when we arrived. The restaurant is top notch the night we ate there was fully booked so be sure to book a table. Food and drink price were very reasonable for France. Pitches were large and shaded we had comfort pitch.
On Wednesday evenings there is a food truck as restaurant is closed.. Problem is they only serve burger & chips not very good if you are vegetarian like the wife not too hard to offer just one option

I highly value the friendliness of staff and these guys did not disappoint. And that was every one of the staff. Friendly, accommodating and so so helpful. Fabulous chalet - everything working perfectly. A very well run campsite.
I only have one - possible manifestation on the large glass doors of chalet.
Comfortable beds, very well equipped throughout, AC was so helpful in 29 degrees! Griddle bbq was the best 😄
The large glass doors of this accommodation need manifestation. Both I and one of my sons walked into the door thinking it was open. We ended up putting band aids on the glass to avoid walking into it.

I came to stay and camp at La Venise verte as it's close to our French twin town as I live in the district Wellingborough. I had a wonderful stay as there are great facilities and generous pitches. I particularly liked the les moules evening, it's within an easy walking distance to Coulon and relatively quiet lanes to cycle around. I had a day in La Rochelle, which is an hour and half away so there's plenty to do and see within easy reach.
Ensure there is always cognac in the bar please!!

Restaurant bar staff very friendly Pitch was huge and clear with shade which was great as was really hot.
Pool.too small for campsite and steps steep. Also the rules about shorts is not followed and no one managed this. Showers in evening could do with being monitored and not alot of hot water
