Evaluations that are not older than three years and have undergone a verification process. More infoThe surroundings and possibilities to go anywhere. One day we were in Nice (very overrated and dirty in my opinion), the next day walked in the Parc Mercantour, 3000 metres higher. Lots of possibilities for nature lovers, hikers, rafting, canyonning. And the small lake at the campsite is great to cool down for a moment. Kids easily make friends here. Great effort to keep the showers and toilets clean, which is an almost impossible task. It would be easier if every user of those facilities takes a moment to clean after use.
Better temperature regulation in the showers. One moment the water is cold, the next you almost burn. Potentially dangerous for young children!
Nice place, enough space
standing on loose gravel, this place would be better suited for caravans than for tents. Could damage the ground sheet of a tent if you do not have a footprint.

This is a fabulous campsite. Free access to the beautiful lake with canoes SUPs was a privilege and meant that our boys were happy for hours on end. The surrounding scenery is stunning which we loved exploring. The campsite itself was perfect for us: green, relatively small and generally quiet in the evenings. There was so much for children to do without this being any kind of ‘organised entertainment’. Ie table tennis, bikes to use, books and games to borrow. What could have been more fun for them? And what a joy for us to watch our kids have pleasure outdoors from morning to night.
A few nights were noisy with teenagers in the playground until gone midnight. Not sure about permitting guests to play guitar and sing by the lake during the day. Not everyone perhaps wishes to be entertained like that and we moved back to the tent area while he played. But that could be just us as no one else seemed bothered by it!
Green, quite secluded with no one in front. Very easy access to everything by foot. Love cars being left in the car park!
Relatively close to others although everyone seemed very nice! Not much shade compared to some other campsites.

The family were very welcoming and made our stay very enjoyable. With helpful guides to the oval area.
The marking of the pitches. It was slightly confusing and the numbers were clear. But the pitches were a good size and had some bushes to help with privacy.

We enjoyed the campsite, facilities were good and toilets well looked after. We were dissapointed that we couldn't access the water with our dog as we had hoped. We loved the walk to the town and really appreciated the setting of the campsite the waters were beautiful.
Dissapointed to find our dog was not allowed on the beach area and whilst we understand the reasons for this it was not clear in the details when we were booking or on the website. The campsite reception did explain that we would be able to go to the river but we didn't really find that this was very appealing in comparison to the beach area. In expressing this was an issue for us as we had chosen the campsite specifically for the access to the beautiful beach they did say that we could access the water from the banks at the other side. We wouldn't have booked if we had known this was the case
The setting is amazing anf walk to near by town very enjoyable
Unclear information regarding it being pet friendly - if we take our dog we expect to be able to access the beach area promoted as part of the stay.

The lake is perfect for swimming and fun - kayaks and boards provided free of charge and kept in really good condition. Our pitch (motorhome) was spacious and quiet, away from the San block and with l8ng grass behind us. Not all pitches seemed so lucky. Great snack bar and friendly, helpful reception. Lovely easy to follow route to walk to beautiful Entrevaux.
There are not enough showers for a busy period (we were there in August).

It's a very nice camping to stay with kids. There is free use of canoes and surfboards. The lake is not visible from the pitches, but very near. There is a small beach and a path to the river nearby. The owner offers canyoning from the camping. The owners speak french and (good) english and are very friendly. They offer a lot off information about the area if needed. The toilets and showers are kept clean very well and toiletpaper is included. You only have to plan your shower because it's not always warm. There is bread service with a lot of choice. The croissants were delicious.
Very dusty, but that is due to the area and warm weather. And not always a warm shower.
There are very large pitches, most of them with trees that provide shade. Ours was big enough for a campervan and a trailer.
On our pitch there was no grass, only stones and sand. And our pitch didn't have shade, which is pretty warm in the sun.

Camping has a grat location, near the lake, just next to the small town with restaurants. It also has a small shop on the premises which really makes the stay easier.
The toilets and bathrooms should be cleaner and people should be encouraged to use the recycling trash bins which are available in the premises.
Our place was perfect for our needs, it also provided lots of shadows are the whole camping is covered with trees - that's awesome.

Owners were unbelievably helpful and friendly. Super informative, super accommodating when possible. The camping spot was in a nice green area, with plenty of hiking available, as well as great connections to Nice town, and on to pther places such as Monaco. Showers, toilets, sinks, were unbelievably clean, and nice warm water too.
Only downside was a little noise from traffic going by on the road, but it didn't bother me. But just something to consider if you are bothered by such things.
Nice green space, easy hookup for electric. But pitches perfect for my little Ford Nugget van!
