Great spot for coming off the ferry and staying along the coast
Improve toilets, eg toilet paper and soap.
God size and easy electricity
Was not a sea view. There was a wall blocking view
Hello Jessie, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts following your stay at La Ferme du Bord de Mer. We’re thrilled that our campsite proved to be the perfect stopover after your crossing and that you enjoyed the generous space on our pitches. Regarding your suggestions about the toilet facilities, the provision of toilet paper or soap is generally a service offered by higher-end establishments. We therefore take your comment as a compliment: the quality of your stay probably gave you the impression that you were staying at a campsite with a higher star rating! As for the view, our ‘Bord de Mer’, the low stone walls and earthworks that characterise our landscape and provide shelter from the sea breeze can sometimes block the view of the horizon from certain pitches. We hope you’ll have fond memories of your visit to the Cotentin. Pierre-Emanuel Camping** la Ferme du Bord de Mer +336 86 03 51 37

Hello Jay, We have taken note of your feedback following your stay at La Ferme du Bord de Mer. We are glad that you appreciated the space offered by our pitches, as well as our ideal location for exploring the historic sites in the surrounding area. Regarding the Wi-Fi, please note that our entire system is new and is regularly updated to improve the network. We provide a secure connection with sufficient bandwidth for everyday use. As for toilet paper, it is indeed not provided in the communal toilet blocks, as is often the case at two-star campsites. We hope you’ll have fond memories of your exploration of the unspoilt landscapes of the Cotentin Peninsula. Pierre-Emanuel Camping** la Ferme du Bord de Mer +336 86 03 51 37

The location
Toilet facilities were broken and very poor.check in was a shambles
The location was amazing
Toilets were very basic and when we arrived there were only 4 working toilets for the whole site. The others were opened 2 days later but didn’t work properly
Hello Carol, We are glad that you enjoyed your seaside pitch; it really is an exceptional setting overlooking Crabec Harbour. Regarding the toilet facilities, as stated on our website and in the email sent to all customers concerned, the renovation work carried out by the Kalysse company was three weeks behind schedule. The shower and washbasin areas of the Crabec toilet block, as well as access to the washing machines and tumble dryers, were fully operational. We also limited the number of bookings to avoid overcrowding. I thought the cabin you mentioned, opening two days later, were in working order, but this was not the case. Now that I have repaired them, I would like to let you know that we are available to check the facilities and carry out any necessary repairs during your stay. We hope that the beauty of the coastline and the tranquillity of the surroundings will make you want to give us a second chance. Pierre-Emanuel Camping** la Ferme du Bord de Mer +336 86 03 51 37

Location close to Cherbourg, not too big, close to water.
Limited facilities at the time, which we were aware of. Some small updating needed.
Great electricity source. Small friendly site, not there for long due to being caught up in traffic.
Hello, Thank you for choosing us; we’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay. It’s true that our location offers a pleasant sense of well-being that we never tire of. It also makes for beautiful walks along the beach, between Barfleur and the Gatteville lighthouse Indeed, as stated on our website, our sanitary facilities will open on 13 May from 2 pm. Until then, we continue to welcome you to our pitches with private sanitary facilities or our stabilised pitches, where you appreciated the reliable electricity supply. We would have liked to receive more information regarding the small updating we could make at our campsite. We would be happy to take your feedback into account for the comfort of our future guests. We look forward to welcoming you back for a relaxing break – perhaps a little longer this time? Pierre-Emanuel Camping** la Ferme du Bord de Mer +336 86 03 51 37

Fantastic view from pitch of the bay. Great cycling area to lighthouse and Barfleur. Friendly and helpful reception with a few useful basic food stocks, and of course daily bread and croissants.
You need a push on rubber hose adaptor and hose to attach to the push button fairly slow water tap, but that's acceptable. Or as we carry a water can is easier.
Nice and flat grass pitch for motorhome. Electric supply was good.

Dear Bob, What a pleasure to read your message! The view from Le Havre de Crabec truly offers a setting one never tires of, and its location is perfect for exploring on foot or by bike, in tune with the tides and the surrounding countryside. We are particularly delighted by your comments on our hospitality and the services we offer. We are keen to provide a few essentials and quality pastries, all in a simple and friendly atmosphere. Regarding the camper van area, we ask our guests to bring their own adaptor, as the ones I provide always seem to go missing. We hope you’ll come back to visit us soon for more walks by the sea. We went in mid March in our campervan. The site was relatively quiet and we had opted for the private bathroom option. This was a super clean facility with our own toilet, shower, sink, fridge and lovely heated tower rail. In the outside section there was a large washing up sink. Pitch size was moderate. Location of the site next to the beach was wonderful and only a short 20 minute walk to Barfleur; well worth visiting.
Better signage to the location of the bins and recycling.
Very clean and modern, quick heating boiler providing hot water. The tower rail heats up the cabin nicely so you don’t get cold if you need to use the toilet in the middle of the night. Although we didn’t use the fridge, it was a really nice addition which I’m sure we would have made use of in the summer months.
No, all was good.

We stayed in a hard standing pitch with hookup and a private bathroom/kitchenette. The pitch was quite muddy and we were surprised we needed to clean the bathroom after (which made us think maybe only the people who used it before cleaned it?) The site also needed quite a few fixes - such as broken fences and long grass. Very quiet site and super close to the beach and lots of coastal walks. Short 20 minutes walk to the nearest town with a few lovely little restaurants. Overall, a good stay and we were undisturbed.
As we were staying during off season, maybe many of the fixes would be done by summer. We had plenty of space and it was super quiet, but once it’s full, we imagine it would feel very crowded. Suggest visiting in off season like we did for a better experience.
Very quiet and secluded, could see the stars and hear the sea at night, so very atmospheric. Private facilities are great - perfect toilet, shower, fridge and space for food prep/washing up. Level pitch.
Muddy pitch. We noticed other pitches had some wooden squares/slabs that could be arranged as a path, but we didn’t have any so we collected a few from an empty pitch, which helped us stay off the mud. After finding out we should clean the bathroom it made us question whether it is professionally cleaned or whether they rely on the guest who is leaving to clean it. So whilst it looked clean, it may not have been.

Stayed here when they had the shared facilities closed for the season. Excellent information provided prior to the stay with everything you need to know. Did not see any staff due to close season but all instructions were left for us when we arrived. Information on where to go if you need help. Facilities were ready and spotless. Pitch size suitable. A little muddy but wooden steps are provided for you to use. Very quiet and great location next to the beach.

Private sanitary facilities were excellent. Lovely and clean and having a heated towel rail really was great. Shower large and plenty of hot water. Included a fridge, but we did not use it.

We loved our time at this site. It's in a beautiful location and the mobile home was comfortable and well equipped. The walk into town is outstanding and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The only reason I didn't give this an 'excellent ' rating was that we needed to leave promptly on our final day and it was difficult due to no one arriving to do the final inspection.
Everything was great.

Dear Anne, Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at La Ferme du Bord de Mer. We really appreciate your enthusiasm for the campsite's beautiful setting and the comfort of the Natura Panoramique mobile home. Regarding your departure, please accept my apologies: that morning, I was delayed by my children's first day back at school. So as not to keep you waiting, we returned your deposit without proceeding with the check-out. We look forward to welcoming you back to our little corner of paradise in Normandy. Frendly and helpfull staff. Speaks English.
Spacious pitches, lots of greenery and shade. Very close to the beach. Helpful staff (they will book a local restaurant for you if your French isn't good enough). Small shop on the campsite for bread, ice cream, and basic necessities. Adequate sanitary facilities. You can enjoy a beautiful walk along the beach to the nearest village (Barfleur).
