Castel Camping Château de L'Epervière

Beautiful site, as expected from Castels 👌 We stayed only 1 night but everything was spotless, great pool and pitches. The restaurant food and service really good too.

No improvements necessary 😍

Our pitch (#25) was very generous and close to all amenities. We thought the staff were exceptional, always attentive and helpful. The grounds were beautifully kept, the pool was outdoors and always had plenty of sunbeds, both the restaurant and takeaway were excellent. Close to the river Saone with an excellent cycleway. We enjoyed tge site so much we extended our stay from 3 to 6 nights.

A very nice site in the countryside and not too far from the river. Large pitches and great facilities and friendly staff.

Nothing that I can think of except a slightly limited take away option of food. Perfect for our stay

Large size pitches, lovely food in the restaurant, very clean sanitary facilities. Pity we only had one night stay so could not explore the area beyond the campsite. Travelling back from a trip around France to UK. Would definitely return for longer next time.

We had a fantastic pitch (31) right by the waters edge. The facilities were lovely and clean. Had a great time observing all of the nature (dragonflies, a nightingale, a kingfisher, coypu). Great bar and enjoyed the boeuf bourgignon from the on site takeaway. Swimming pool area was beautifully maintained and a welcome cool spot!

The location is first class and the grounds of the chateau and campsite are immaculate. The swimming is one of the cleanest we have used. As keen swimmers we swam every morning. The staff were friendly and obliging.

Our apartment overlooked the takeaway and restaurant and therefore was busy and noisy which is understandable however after the establishments had closed staff tended to congregate outside the restaurant and socialised until after 11pm. The staff were asked on a number of occasions to please be quiet to enable us to sleep. In addition there were several deliveries starting at 5am onwards which again was disturbing. Instead of relaxing we felt much frustration through disturbed sleep. All other accommodations do not face the courtyard.

From booking to checking in at reception we got a warm friendly welcome. Just the right information regarding the site and its facilities. And not having to pay the balance as soon as arriving was lovely (although I did worry about going without paying on leaving!). So did it the night before. We had a meal at the restaurant which was superb as was the beef stew. All facilities were very well maintained and cleaned. The grounds were immaculately kept. All this offered a most relaxing and excellent value for money stay. Thank you

We really enjoyed our stay, even though it was only for 1 night. The site is lovely and peaceful with spacious pitches and the staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our swim in the pool and a drink on the terrace. The shop has all your basics on offer, including your morning bread to order. The toilets and showers are clean. We didn't visit the restaurant but the beef bourguignon from the take away was delicious!

Nothing needs improvement

If campsites could be 6 stars this one would be, it is clean calm and perfect, a good shop and good food in the restaurant as well as a takeaway and let’s not forget the Heron in the lake every time…The staff are extremely friendly. We have been stopping here on the way down and back up for about 10 years.

Restaurant was bad! Duck served in 5 min?? Pre cooked, hard, no taste also no taste in puree and veggies. Sauce was just jus and flat of taste. Rice was dry … sad

Loved it all , clean toilets and showers good facilities, and great size pitches , good bike rides and a lovely little shop

More staff needed in takeaway especially pizza making.

Coffee shop. Longer opening hours for bar ( lunch time ) Recycling bins were often full

Cleanliness, bar area in the late afternoon, lovely quiet plot. Takeaway food was delicious and good value.

Sun loungers at the pool were very uncomfortable. Not a fan of mixed toilets.

We have stayed before and knew what to expect. It was first class. There is a fenced in area for dogs plus a short walk through the woods, which was ideal for our older dog.

Very spacious places, good sanitary. Beautiful surroundings

Wifi on the campsite would be an asset to a 5 star campsite
