Evaluations that are not older than three years and have undergone a verification process. More infoLocation and facilities plus a great restaurant
Good pitch sizes
Closes too early in the season would like to be open until at least end of October and reopen beginning of March .

Great site with good facilities with incredible restaurant for a camp site.

Well maintained pitch. The people that manage this site are fantastic.

The pitch sizes are very good, the swimming pool was inviting and the bar was very welcoming.
The basins in the toilet blocks should have hot water, soap and a hand drier. Washing in cold water without soap and leaving with wet hands is not five star camping.
We love the Premium Pitches, great size and the convenience of our own water and drain is perfect.
We would liked to have a hard standing on the premium pitches. It was very wet during our stay and the long wet grass usually ensured that we had wet feet. The waste bins at the site entrance was a long walk from our pitch.

This is a lovely, peaceful site in good location for visiting this part of France. Nice bar area and good restaurant. Staff very nice and friendly.
Lodge was spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
High hedge behind the lodge made it quite dark inside.

size of pitches, environment, access to restaurant
more hard standing, upgraded sanitary block, rudimentary and cold, lack of hot water, cost, very expensive and booking fee exorbitant site dates are becoming ever shorter
size of ptich, environment
lack of hard standing, very dark in the morning

Pitch sizes were good, site was tidy and staff were friendly.
Sanitary facilities were lacking, no soap or paper towels/dryer for when you pop to the toilet. Not a swimming pool, just a play pool for kids. Due to the size of the site it would get very busy in high season.
Size of the pitch
None of the pitch are very level

The end of season feeling. Quiet but still functioning
The door handle to the toilet block near Z1/Z2 needs mending.
Plenty of room. Ground drained well
Rain ran onto the pitch

Relaxing good area to visit. Good walking near and cycling routes.
The pool needed to be supervised. The jumping in the pool dive bombing screaming was awful. I have never been to a pool where I felt it was just out of control. I cant understand with signs up everywhere no jumping yet people ignore it. Why can't the families with the kiddies control them. Not jumping in the pool is for people's safty. That was disappointing.
Our pitch was the best ever it was well worth upgrading. Big pitches lovely and quite. Thankyou.
Apart from the pool which is down to the families more so than the owners this is a absolute pleasure to visit so that's the only negative from us.

Only 10 minutes from the Channel Tunnel makes it a great site for either leaving early in the morning or arriving later at night. Facilities are clean
Soap to wash hands in the toilet
Pitches are spacious. As we were only staying one night we didn't need room for an awning but would've had plenty of room should we have needed it. Plenty of shade too if required.

This is not our first time here at Le Bienne Assise and it never fails to tick all the boxes.. The staff are friendly and helpful, the site has everything that you could possibly need.. you can stay for an overnight on your travels (it’s is so close to the Channel Tunnel) or equally stay for 2 weeks.. Brilliant.. see you again next year 👍
Spacious and well laid out.

As always the site, service and restaurant was excellent. It’s the perfect overnight spot both arriving in France from the UK returning. Staff are friendly, the pitches huge and well maintained and the shower and toilet blocks clean and tidy.

The size of the pitch and the proximity to the motorway network.
The chemical toilet waste disposal pint was filthy and clearly had not been cleaned for weeks- the dirtiest I came across in 4 weeks in France! Communication via email was poor after some items were left in the toilet block- still haven’t received a response! Whilst to some extent this is out of control of the site, there a large number of children after dark running around the site trying to wake people up. I have never experienced that before. All of this is the opposite of what we have experienced at the other Les Castels sites!
Size of the pitch
The surface of the pitch was uneven and muddy- it was clearly newly installed. It was adequate for a one night stay, but I would have asked to move if I was there for longer.

Perfect for a stop over for the channel tunnel or ferry. Lovely site for children, with plenty of facilities.
The showers were not so good, but the water was warm.

One night stop over this time but have been coming here for nearly 20 years. Every inch of the site is spotless. Pitches are very spacious.
Plenty of room and only metres from elec hook up and fresh water.

We stayed for one night after getting of the Shuttle and before driving to Luxembourg. It was perfect. Quiet and relaxed, yet lots of amenities and only 25 mins from the shuttle. Well definitely come back.
None!
Very large pitch with some shade. Slight slope, but wheel ramps sorted that.

Nice Welcome, clean and tidy site, lots of good facilities on site. Restaurant is excellent.
Toilets weren’t separate. If wanting to have unisex toilets take out the urinals. Also no hand driers or soap in the toilets.
Plenty of room for campervan and awning, slight gradient. Felt private with the separation by bushes and trees.
Toilets weren’t separate. If wanting to have unisex toilets take out the urinals. Not ideal when you have young girls taking them to the toilet and seeing this. Also no hand driers or soap in the toilets.

Large fully serviced pitch ideal for our caravan. Site well positioned for days out, shopping and le shuttle
Not putting large groups of tents on premium pitches. Caravanners and motohomers like a peaceful site, tent groups are generally loud, shouting to each other until late at night. On our last night we had to politely request that they be quiet at 02.30!!! Last year we had the our holiday spoilt by the same issue. Also showers were cold!
Being fully serviced, shed handy for storage and new fridge freezer. Great having BBQ available. Table and parasol great to have. Free WiFi
Watching the tent group children dig up a neighbouring pitch with spades while being watched by their parents!
