Good size pitches, friendly staff, good restaurant, great facilities and good bus service near site for visiting local attractions. For the more energetic convenient cycle tracks are available for sight seeing. Great local beach not far from site.

Very clean, large pitches, excellent facilities. Bar restaurant food was very good. Staff were very helpful and courteous.
Very large, own water supply, we had a personal key to our own shower and toilet, although still in the main block. If I had known when booking there are some pitches with bathrooms on your pitch.
Slightly wet ground as it is grass and mud but it had rained.

Very convenient campsite to travel around the area by public transport. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating especially when we arrived early. Had nice meals at the on-site restaurant .
The water in the bathroom could have been hotter.
Nice large pitch. The hedges could have been cut back to make it easier to move our caravan. It was a British caravan so the door is on a different side to European

The pitch was untidy. The grass should have been shorter and the thorny hedge cuttings should be cleared from the site.

I booked Campsite online and was planning to confirm arrival time once I left for my holiday. Unfortunately my telephone was not working with roaming. Several attempts to contact me, which a later picked up once I've got the phone working. They made provision for me on my arrival. Top marks.
Access to the site by motor car is restricted at night which is great security not good if you arrive late. Luckily, I was on a bicycle so it didn't cause me a problem. Access to the toilet and shower via key system. At first I thought this a little strange. Once I started using it, it was better. Basically, you had your own private bathroom for the duration of your stay. Improvements, I'm not sure I could think of any.
The chalet was very basic but functional. Access to the 'bedroom' was via the set of stairs. It was dry while I was there, but they could be slippery in the wet. There was a lack of headroom, only a small child could stand. Because of the nature of the structure, it did not cut out the constant road noise. Think of the chalet as one step up from a tent.
Breakfast in the restaurant was rather basic.

Liked the site and the facilities. We had a great pizza in the restaurant. Good base to head into Hendaye. Without doubt I couldn’t say enough about the staff in reception and the restaurant. Beautiful friendly people who made us so welcoming.
Pitch was a little soft for our large motorhome especially after the heavy night rain .
We loved having our private facilities. Good privacy with the hedges.
I think the pitch could be a little bit more level etc.

We really enjoyed our week-long stay in Camping Ametza, as a couple and then joined by adult children. The campsite is lovely and quiet, with nice places around to walk or drive. Very pleasant, helpful multilingual reception staff. We loved that we could order bread and croissants for picking up from the little campsite shop for breakfast so that we didn't have to go out to buy these things.
The mobile home is modern, with a heating/air conditioning unit, which was necessary at Easter with some cold, rainy weather. I particularly liked the beds, with comfortable mattresses and crisp sheets. The kitchen was well-equipped, and everything was very clean.
The only design oddity is that the toilet is on the other side of the mobile home from the bathroom, so there is nowhere to wash your hands immediately, but this was not a problem.

Great facilities, very friendly staff and exceptionally clean
The privat bathroom with seating area was a huge bonus, especially when it rained.

Perfect location, clean and well kept
Closer water points, and the numbered toilets took a bit of getting used to meaning members of the pitch could only go to the toilet or have a shower one at a time
Good size with plenty of shade
More information on vélo routes and walking in the areas would be helpful

On site toilet and shower
Get a night guard to do his job, the site is supposed to be quiet after ten at night, three hours later its still not quiet. The reception said he must have been busy on another area of the site, what nonsense
on site facilities
The pitch got flooded because the ground was made up of builders rubble and a bit of soil, no drainage, we had to move the tent due to the flooding.

We found the sanitary blocks strange. It would be helpful to have the washbasins and toilets together

We didn’t enjoy our stay as the pitches were muddy. There’s no grass or gravel to keep them tidy.
The pitches
The size of the pitch was good - ample room for our camper and awning and we had our own bathroom.
The pitches are dirty - not enough grass or gravel to keep them clean. It was also very noisy - train and traffic from the road.
