We found the pitch too small for our 7.4m motorhome, couldn’t put out canopy as it would have been in road we only had about 1.5m at front and rear. There is a €11 booking fee to add on which makes over night expensive. Next door is a municipal which has facilities and good size pitches

Indeed, you were not staying on one of the largest pitches at the campsite. As you made your reservation the day before your arrival, unfortunately our options were very limited when it came to choosing the pitch best suited to your motorhome and your expectations. We simply do our best with the pitches that are still available at such short notice. Regarding the €11 booking fee, this is clearly stated before you confirm and pay for your reservation. It is therefore not added afterwards. We are consequently a little surprised by this comment, as the fee was clearly visible before you completed your booking and you naturally had the opportunity to take it into account when making your choice. As for the municipal campsite next door, we are happy to acknowledge that it is a very good campsite, with probably more spacious pitches, particularly because its layout is different, with pitches arranged at right angles. However, it does not offer a swimming pool, let alone a heated indoor pool, nor a restaurant or a bar. Of course, it all depends on what you are looking for during your holiday. However, when comparing two campsites, we feel it is important to compare the services and facilities they offer as well, especially since the difference in price for one night is only a few euros. All in all, your review leaves us somewhat puzzled, as we feel that your main disappointment seems to be that the pitch allocated to you did not meet your expectations. We would have preferred you to speak to us about it directly during your stay; perhaps we could have found a solution, depending on our availability. Nevertheless, we wish you all the best and hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased that you appreciated the cleanliness and quality of our sanitary facilities. We’re sorry that you found your pitch too small. Our pitches do vary in size, and we always ask for the dimensions of motorhomes or caravans when booking so that we can allocate the most suitable pitch available. Our campsite is intentionally small and very green, which does give it a more intimate feel than larger, more open campsites. We understand, however, that this type of setting may not suit everyone. We hope you nevertheless enjoyed our location and the proximity to the sea. 🌿🌊

We had a fabulous 2 weeks in D'oleron at this campsite in our motorhome and would have stayed longer if we could. The staff are very helpful, the maintenance man helped us with an issue with our tow bar, the reception staff speak English and answered all our queries well. The site is very clean and wrll located for the markets in La Bree and St Denis. The night market in Cotiniere was a fun night out. The local beach is a 5 min walk and quiet especially in the evening. Swimming pools are warm as is the sea in July
The internet connection is not very stable
We had a motorhome pitch with a car and awning. There was plenty of room. Difficult to drain grey waste but electric hook up and water was fine. Neighbours were very friendly. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed himself with all the attention.
It would be useful to have a small shop on site to sell basics like milk

Excellent service at reception and the bar. Nice size pitch clean shower and Toilets. 2 beautiful swimming pools with shade for sitting out cycling tracks on the doorstep to some pretty towns.

Lovely campsite with large pitches and good privacy between each. Pools were great with good entertainment. The showers were lovely and warm. A few minutes walk to the sandy beach with fab rock pooling when the tide is out and right on the cycle path to explore the island. The food in the onsite restaurant was good and staff friendly and patient with our bad french speaking.

Le passage entre les barrières d'entrée et de sortie est un peu etroit . Disons que l'accès au clavier codé surtout pour l'entrée pourrait être amélioré. Autrement RAS

Camping bien entretenu à taille humaine , accueil agréable , belle végétation, hygiène irréprochable des lieux et sanitaires, proximité de la plage et du marché tous les matins, ce qui nous a permis de passer une excellent e étape. Merci à toute l'équipe

Es war herrlich, wir hatten super Glück mit dem Wetter. Schönen Stellplatz erwischt. Von zwei auf sechs Tage verlängert. Super Lage zu den beiden Orten, wo jeden Morgen Markt ist ♥️
Das sanitär brauch definitiv ein Upgrade, das ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Und die Speisekarte im Restaurant wenigstens mal noch 2-3 veggie Alternativen; wären gerne öfter gekommen, weil auch dort nette Atmosphäre!

un accueil chaleureux avec les propriétaires et le personnel aimable et souriant , un accès à la mer direct et la proximité du marché , nous y venons depuis 2019 et nous en sommes toujours ravies . Sur place ce trouve un bar et un restaurant avec aussi de l'emporter bien évidemment vivement l'année prochaine

This is the 1st time we stayed on the island & at Antioche, the site was spotless & well managed would have loved to gone swimming in the pools but forgot my trunks & could not find a place that sold any? We were resigned to walking as we were in our motorhome & we found the Bicycles to be an out & out nuisance on the sea front & in the streets surrounding the campsite the sea front tarmac promenade was too dangerous to walk on & we were left to walk on the uneven grassland which was a bit unsuitable for my elderly wife with a new knee!
I cannot see anything really that the site itself could improve on ? it was clean, well appointed with all the necessary ingredients for an amicable stay, EXCEPT the Mosquitos!.....Every evening we were eaten alive regardless of filling the motor & Awning with spray & spent the whole 4 days scratching so badly that we got very little sleep..It was so bad that we actually cut our stay short by a day as we could not stand the itching & lack of sleep which was a shame
The pitch was a decent enough size for an awning, but being under trees it was impossible to get a satellite signal!....So I was forced to ask for the Wi-Fi password on day 2 of my stay
The Wi-Fi password was €8 for the remaining 4 days but we had not yet decided whether to stay for a further 2 days so I asked the price & it was €15 for the week, which I payed rather reluctantly & in the end I payed €15 for 3 days due to us leaving early
