Evaluations that are not older than three years and have undergone a verification process. More infoAs ever, a beautiful two weeks at Le Brev, with the wonderful and welcoming team (Nicole, Raph, Jess, Nolen and the rest!) -really enjoyed visiting the equestrian centre a few times this year too. Weather was lovely too. Perfect trip x

Beautiful campsite, good size pitches, lovely lake side and castle view
Showers are impossible to use, they stay only on for a few seconds, we understand the idea behind saving water But they could be stay on for about a minute or so
We stayed with a caravan, nice level pitch on the lake side

Great Stay, Staff incredibly friendly and great facilities
Some of the showers colder than others but clutching at straws.
Pitch was clean and tidy with the addition of furniture and a fridge a great touch.

Friendly family run ecologically aware and far more than just a campsite
Absolutely perfect right down to the personalised welcome note

It was our third stay at Le Brevedent, spanning about 13 years and we loved it as much as the first time we stayed. What a charming campsite, made particularly wonderful by the abundance of nature all around. The resident Kingfisher is an absolute hit with us and with a lakeside pitch we were able to while away many hours watching him fish. We loved our stay and will definitely come back. Raphael, Jess and Nicole are wonderful hosts.
Perhaps the washing up areas could be a bit cleaner.
We had a lakeside pitch for our VW camper and it was perfect. A good size and nicely shaded by trees.

We loved how child-friendly our holiday was with plenty of facilities and games for them. I asked the boys to tell me 3 things they loved! Dylan (11) loved the swimming pool, the circus and the pony riding. Ethan (9) loved the pool, the table tennis and the peace and quiet. We, too, loved the tranquility, listening to the owls at night.
Many sites we have been to have had fire safety equipment available. I did not notice anything near where our lodge was.
We liked the size and the amount of kitchen equipment that was there. The beds were comfortable and the boys loved sleeping in their little cupboard room. We liked our rooms being on the other side of the lodge! The bathroom facilities were very good. We also appreciated having our breakfast delivered.
Nothing.

A beautiful site, with plenty of hot showers and clean toilets. Very well maintained, all the animals walking around, the beautiful lake, and wonderful staff. The kids craft workshops were fantastic and the pool was a lovely temperature. We loved the eco friendly feel and being able to sort out waste as well as feed the animals.
Our tent pitch was in a lovely location overlooking the lake
It wasnt very flat, it was very lumpy which made it harder in a tent

We had a great time at Le Brevedent in July, our visit was to watch the Tour de France but more than that our stay and camping at Le Brevedent was second to none. A very hot 8 days but with the cool beautiful surroundings of the site ( trees and lake) and the pool in the afternoons, made everything perfect. Music sessions were amazing and made or stay, please thank our host and his family, music made the stay amazing.
No improvements as far as we are concerned, the site and it’s full staff team are exceptional.
We had our camper on our pitch. A good size pitch and with a beautiful view of the lake. Having electricity mad our stay better, for our camper fridge and lights. Pitch was great
No, nothing could be improved.

We liked the sloping nature of the camp site, the trees dotted about between the tents, camper vans, caravans and lodges. We liked the darkness at night allowing us to view the stars, sleep better and how the darkness contributed to a better living environment for nocturnal creatures. The swimming pools were very pleasant, they catered for toddlers and swimmers. They were clean and warm enough for children and adults to be comfortable. The cafe/bar was lovely and served a good variety of drinks and snacks. The restaurant was very good and we liked the friendly welcoming attitude of all staff.
The shop could stock a few more food items perhaps?
We liked the wooden decking with its transparent roofing which allowed us to sit out to eat and drink without worrying about rain and having plenty of natural light. The kitchen was well provided with cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. The bathroom and shower were perfectly adequate given the overall size of the lodge. The kitchen/diner/lounge was a very good use of the limited space available in such a lodge.
The bedroom with the double bed was a bit difficult to negotiate, very limited space round the bed.

Raphael and his family care about te site and put every effort to ensure that your stay is comfortable. The restaurant is great value for great food. And they ensure that the facilities are spotless all the time. The musical evenings are definitely the highlight of any visit
Things could be improved but it would be to the detriment of this idyllic site
Pitches for caravans are spacious

Always a pleasure staying @ Castel Camping Le Brévedent, nothing is ever to much trouble when asked, family friendly with smiles of plenty, highly recommended
Perfect little home for the week, no complaints, maybe a small tv for the kids would be good just incase it rains, but other than that "Très bien‘

The site is both beautiful and fantastically run. The play areas, lake, horse riding, music, activities, pool and animals all make it so easy for the kids to thrive in their own space, without sacrificing any tranquility or enjoyment for adults. It’s in the most beautiful area - I had high expectations but it outshone them. The facilities are very good and very well maintained. The shop is thoughtfully stocked and the daily bread/croissant deliveries are as good as you’d find if you spent days seeking out the best boulangeries. Just lovely all round.
If the showers could run for longer without needing a push on the tap, that would be much appreciated. It’s a minor thing, though
Camping pitch with electric hook up between the pool and restaurant - it was sunny and bright and convenient. Perfect

What is not to like?! We had the most wonderful short stay at Le Brévedent and could not have asked for more. I just wish that I had booked to stay for longer, we will certainly be booking to come back. Thank you. We all enjoyed the Apéro-Jazz and my children enjoyed the flower pressing artwork session and feeding the animals which allows me a break to enjoy a quiet coffee. The staff onsite were incredibly helpful and kind, and also very patient as I tried to speak as much French as possible (not always with success!), helping me as I went.
We needed to have stayed longer than 3 nights so that we could explore the local area. As a single parent with 2 children, a few extra supplies in the on-site shop would have been helpful so that I didn't need to go offsite to a supermarket while we were staying.
The pitch sizes are very generous, giving us ample space for the camper van, awning and for the children to play. The toilet blocks and other facilities were clean and well maintained. The whole site was just beautiful.
The showers in the toilet block opposite the restaurant only stayed on for about 3 seconds and were not always warm. I appreciate conservation of water is important, but this made showering myself and 2 children rather hard work.

This is our most favourite site. It is absolutely and utterly beautiful. The staff are most likely the friendliest we came across all of France. A true gem hidden away
Don’t change a thing
Who wouldn’t want to pitch under some beautiful apple trees

Wonderful welcome and campsite - loved it! What a gem - we will be back. Loved the rabbits / ducks / goats and peaceful lake - great restaurant serving vegetarian food!
Lovely shop but some fresh fruit and vegetables in shop would be fab.
Beautiful pitches

We had another amazing experience at Le Brevedent, our fifth visit. The general atmosphere that the team have managed to foster, and maintain over the years, is unmatched in my opinion. The various events for the kids and adults add to the experience, but in general we only seem to meet relaxed, cool fellow campers on Le Brevedent who just seem to 'get it'.
Spacious and quiet

We love Le Brevedent, this is our second stay and won't be our last. The owners (and all their staff) are the most welcoming we have seen on any site in the world, we actually changed our plans to make sure we could come bask on our way south and to make sure we were there for at least one music night. The facilities and pool are good, the food and entertainment are second to no other campsite and it's not too big.
Keep doing what you are already doing.
Campervan on Pitch 15. Great location with mix of sun and shade, quiet and dark at night so we could watch the stars.
