We first (and last) visited Le Brévedent 13 years ago when we’d purchased our first tent together, and only stayed 2 nights as we were visiting my parents who lived 30 minutes up the road, and this time we brought our touring caravan, but the site remains just as lovely as it was. We were there for the feast of the assumption (Mary going up to heaven if you aren’t religious) with a service in the local rustic church and a candlelit procession through the woods, the partial total eclipse, temps of 43 degrees and ALOT of shooting stars! Definitely recommend!!!
The shops fridges didn’t seem to be working on arrival day so we didn’t buy the essentials we needed as the products weren’t cool, so red wine was on the menu for dinner.
Great location, very spacious,
There was a big grid in the middle which dictated our positioning. Was quite uneven but we could deal with that. (Also, very annoying that other guests would walk through our pitch, obviously not the sites fault but the first time we’ve experienced this).

Everything we experienced on site was fantastic
Longer opening hours for shop and restaurant
Our pitch was for a motorhome
We did not like the smell that was coming from the cess pit area that was next to our pitch.

Little more selection in the shop which I know maybe hard as it’s a small space but the quality of the food etc is excellent

Can't think of anything
Beautiful views across the lake.
Got a bit waterlogged with all the rain

We adore Le Brévedent, such a beautiful space to relax, the site is maintained to the highest standards whilst being entirely eco friendly. The staff are all wonderful and welcoming and do all they can to ensure guests feel at home.

The tent lodge was perfect for our family as we had benefits such as lighting and a fridge that make life a bit easier, whilst still having the fun camping experience that we enjoy. It was immaculate and the addition of a hammock by the lake made it the perfect spot for some serious relaxation!

Good facilities and within reach of children-friendly activities.
Something to help shorter people to access high shelves and switches in the cabin.
Plenty of room for 6 with a good view
A few height related access problems.

We absolutely loved our stay! ❤️ The campsite is in a beautiful rural setting with rolling hills, and the château is stunning. Knowing the family still live there makes it feel even more special. Our boys didn’t want to leave — they were happy fishing and swimming all day! We loved the pool, the evening music and the lovely atmosphere. The showers and toilets were constantly being cleaned and spotless. And the fresh baguettes and pastries each morning were exceptional! Everyone was so friendly. We almost want to keep this place a secret… but it was too fantastic not to share! ❤️
Our pitch was right by the pool and the lake for which was a great spot for us.

We first stayed here in 2010 on our first trip outside UK with our caravan It is good to see that the ambience of the campsite has not changed. The toilet block is much improved!
The electricity supply was erratic each morning and evening. It would be better to limit the current to each user.
The location of the pitch was pleasant with trees and shrubs all around
The pitch we had had recently been vacated by a large tent so the grass was mostly dead. It also smelt as though waste water had been drained onto the pitch.

The team at Le Brevedent are experts in vibe and relaxation. From early morning to late night they are always so helpful and kind. I absolutely LOVED my time at this site. I am someone who doesn't over plan a holiday so left a lot of the things we did in the daytime up to recommendations from the staff. They were amazing and we had a wonderful time. I definitely recommend renting EBikes for a day or 2 to see the local area and all the little back streets. We arrived on Sunday afternoon just in time for the band... a local jazz electro fusion band from Caen. That really set the tone off well!
The pitches are a good size. We didn't take hook up because we had enough power but the pitches all seemed to have hook up. The bathrooms were clean and a good size with plenty dotted about so they weren't too busy. The pool was good and the onsite restaurant was reasonably priced with Pizzas and pasta. I was camping with lots of Netherlanders, who were all really lovely. We left site everyday to explore the local area, but there seemed to be lots to do for families with younger children on site.

Good services and facilities made the stay easy i.e. snack bar and restaurant meant we didn't need to cook.
The site looks like it needs some TLC i.e. dead flowers, weeds, bridges needed painting and were unstable, crazy golf area is neglected- I understand the aim of a rustic looks, but in the current state it looks more like there aren't enough people to maintain the site.
Lovely pitch surrounded by trees

Perfect little spot to camp in the North of France, Spent 6nights there with my partner, on a lake side plot. Couldn't really ask for more, peaceful, beautiful, Staff extremely friendly, food at the restaurant was spot on as well & met some lovely people too. The live entertainment was a good plus!
Only thing i could even complain about was the showers, They were clean just not the best shower heads on some of them & was a bit tricky to get the right temperature. Other than that haven't got a bad thing to say.
Had a 6man tent set up for me & my partner, by the lake side & had my hammock set up with the car parked next to us, still had plenty of room for a table & chairs between the hammock & tent.

We visited Le Brevedent 12 years ago and there have been significant upgrades but all the improvements have been purposeful and have not in any way spoiled the authenticity of the place. The toilets and shower blocks are great, and the entertainment Les Ratures the band were great a real treat on our last night. The Pool and other areas are well maintained and clean. If you have children it is a great place to stay goat feeding and superb play areas.
We had a great pitch with a little shed with chairs, table, bbq and a parasol available

Our family love Le Brévedent for being a home from home. We are welcomed warmly by the team and taken good care of. The campsite is well cared for but still set in nature. There's lots of space for the children to make their own fun. There's very little for children to pester about (no arcades or toys in the shop) which we love! We spend quality time together as a family and making friends with fellow campers. Many Le Brévedent families are multi-timers and it's fun to catch up. Music nights and other group activites are special sauce. The location offers so many options within 30 mins drive.
The best of camping with the best of a mobile home/chalet. There's more space than a caravan. Fully equipped kitchen means we don't have to bring much with us.
My children always lose things through the gaps in the decking! Next year we are going to lay a tarp down in the area where we play board games.

We really enjoyed our stay. The animals were a highlight for the children and us too! Facilities were great and we also enjoyed the music night.
Good size pitch

Asking the children what they liked - ‘everything’. From feeding the animals, to the pain au choc and coffee, to the lake, to the swimming pool - we had the best time. Thank you so much,
We brought our own tent - it was our first time camping - everything was straightforwards. The showers and loos were good.

Wonderful site with plenty to do for children - a pool, animals to feed, play areas, board games at the cafe! I wish we’d had longer to enjoy the site!
Only 2 shower blocks for a fairly large site, could do with some toilet facilities near the reception/cafe area.
Good pitch, we were next to the lake with a lovely view.

Lovely site, friendly staff and great music.
Pitch next to the lake.

A friendly family run campsite, in the same family for generations.
You don’t get enough time in some of the showers in the most modern block. Can’t think of another single thing!
Cosy and nicely furnished
