We had a wonderful holiday, the first accommodation let it down, very cramped, tiny rooms, tiny beds, old, mouldy uncomfortable. 2nd week we were moved to a VIP as we had paid £2000 for the accommodation this far reached our expectations and we were then very comfortable and happy.
Disliked the mobile home
VIP chalet and hot tub

Lodge was clean and fully equipped for our weeks stay. Balcony overlooking lake was lovely to sit on in the evenings.
We loved the location of the lodge overlooking the lake where the children fished. Perfect for our family of 5. Good washing facilties.

Beautiful campsite and accommodation.
It would be helpful if the cafe by the lake took card payment as well as cash.
Our chalet was excellent, extremely comfortable and well equipped. We throughly enjoyed our x 2 week stay and would not hesitate to book again!

We loved the beautiful pitch . The spaciousness of the site and the amazing views from every part of the site . We stayed on XL pitch and it was the largest we have ever stayed on at any site .
We were disappointed with the bar/ restaurant area. Before the end of August the food/bar was totally shut . In such a beautiful site it’s a shame not to take more advantage of this . The snack bar at the lake only opened for a few hours in the afternoon but only took cash . They lost a lot of business and on other large French sites we’ve been accustomed for a few years now to contactless payments everywhere Whilst snack good could be eaten in now plates or cutlery offered. The site could do much better to make it superb !
Beauty and space
Fridge was too small . Soap was not refilled in toilet blocks at sinks .

Fantastic pitch and superb space for camper van and tent
Limited toilets and facilities in the swimming pool area - often wet from pool users and showers being used by pool users. Cleaning undertaken between 8 and 9 in the morning when showers needed for morning use
Fantastic space - great location.
With some limitations on swimming pool toilets etc I would choose a private bathroom pitch next time

The site is still beautiful. The pools are well maintained and the lake is lovely.
There is now a focus on mobile home rentals, which is a change for this site. This was our fourth visit in the last 15 years and you can feel the change with more pitches added and a change within the peace and quiet the site used to offer. The lack of focus on camping pitches means that the top sanitary block now offers poor showers which need updating. The move to ‘fast food’ rather than restaurant style food was also disappointing. Still an enjoyable stay, but not as magical as it used to be.
Good pitch, nice views, well serviced with water and electric.

The two toilet blocks, though small, were adequate and I was able to use the family bathroom both mornings. Staff were friendly and helpful.
There was not a restaurant as advertised, it was more of a snack bar which was only open if there was no event by the lake. The site was very steep
Pitch was very good, full shade and relatively flat. We stayed August 8 - 10 2023, not the dates shown above which I can’t seem to change

Good starling point for trips. Queit die to limited occupation and no late sound.
Space, schade., flat terrain
Speed of vehikels on the roods.

We stayed at this site 6 years ago and liked it so returned this year
We chose this pitch as we remembered it being quite large.
pitch 36 needs 2 x 25mt cables

We loved the peace and the space of the site . Our pitch was huge with even more space around us! We were astonished at the views from our pitch and really pleased we chose it for our first time back in France since 2019 . The campsite is really well run and spotlessly clean

We loved the location of the pitch and it’s size .We have been camping in France for many years and the site and XL pitch is probably the best we have ever stayed on . This campsite is very well looked after - it’s staff all friendly and helpful. We used the take away and it was good value and quality . The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into the site design making it a delight if you are looking for a quiet , beautiful site with lots of space . It was very good value and well situated for exploring the Dordogne.
Nothing we disliked !

The site has so much space!
Size of pitch is huge. Private facilities are great.
If I was going to be critical in any way, I would say that having to vacate the pitch by 11am makes it difficult to get the tent dry before packing up as these pitches don't get morning sunshine. It would be better to allow until noon or 1pm, as the extra hour would give sufficient time to pack up properly. We noticed that a some people actually leave their pitch the day before so they have sufficient time to pack up properly.

The size of the pitches and the spaciousness of the site. The open field in the middle and carefully maintained plots gave the site a relaxed and peaceful feel. Being able to swim in the lake, or kyak without any extra charge was great. The facilities were very good too.

The size of the pitches and the privacy the layouts gave was great. The lights turning off late at night enabled you to see the stars and was good for the environment.
Having to share a tap with the next pitch, we had to go onto the neighbours pitch to use the tap.

What a gorgeous place! Our lodge was comfortable and the views were incredible. The children loved the swimming pools and we had fun playing with the kayak on the lake. None of us wanted to leave.
Nothing.
Beautiful views over the lake. Lovely shaded terrace so that we could be outdoors on a rainy day.

It was all amazing. Pitch size is great and benefitted from having shade in the trees! There is space everywhere so you aren’t on top of everyone else. Never queued for a shower and the facilities are spotless. All staff are super welcoming and friendly. The best site we have been to and have returned several times over the years as our kids have got older. They love it too!
Lovely and sheltered in the trees and is close to the pools and lake. Really spacious.

In 40 degrees, the lake was a lifesaver. The site generally is well laid out with a lot of open space. Staff are delightful. Nearby Le Bugue has all the facilities you will need, and an excellent wine merchant
The fridge on the pitch could usefully have been a little larger for 6 people.
Well shaded (though not all pitches have shade), and massive- plenty of room for caravan, tent, car, badminton, and more to spare

The lake was amazing! We loved the trampoline and kayaks. Nice shady areas provided by the trees. Loved the Lotto show and the visiting circus. Enjoyed island night. Great bread and croissants available to order from receiption
Mini disco was nice but could be longer.
Shady, close to the pool, lake and toilet
