The location, the pool, the surroundings, modern village with everything you need to activate yourself and kids. Friendly hostesses.
The toilets and shower possibilities could be improved as they are shared. I missed a dust bin in each toilet (especially as a woman). The showers were super cold sometime, probably when a lot of people showered. The dish space closed before 21 which is too early. More water stations would be preferable. Also, we had long way to electricity possibilities, so more electricity stations would be good. The cord of 20m was just enough.
Great location on the camping, no trees to give shadow though.
Long way to electricity. No trees to hide from sun.

Lovely situation and very friendly. The toilets were superbly clean. The pool was very nice and so clean. The onsite restaurant we had the best meal of our stay in France.
The pitch was of a good size. You could choose the voltage and there was a tap by the pitch.

We love the proximity to the village, 2 minute walk. The facilities are very clean, hot showers, lots of sinks for washing up. We didn’t use the pool this time but saw the changing rooms, games room and washing machines. Electric hook up was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Nothing.
We took our motorhome, had no issues with the pitch, size or parking up.
Nothing.

Very friendly and helpful. Showers toilets etc were spotless. The swimming pool was a nice addition. The restaurant next door was excellent too to eat in and get take away. We were also able to order bread from reception which saved an early morning walk into town. Despite being very busy it was very quiet at night. The local busses from outside the gate were very efficient for getting to and from the ski station.
The site was very crowded, we were 2m away from out neighbours either side and the ground was very muddy - a bit more gravel would help.
Very flat pitch, we didn’t need levelling but many vans needed ramps. Very close to the shower and toilet blocks
As mentioned above, the pitch was very muddy, a bit more gravel would help. We sank in a bit but had no problems moving off. We were in very close proximity to the vans on either side - only 2m either side. 3 Amps was only just enough, would be better if all pitches were 10amp

Fantastic site, reception very helpful and welcoming. Very close to all amenities and the ski-bus stop is right on the doorstep to give easy access to the ski lifts. Lovely restaurant on site and the village centre is just a short walk. Our 2nd year in a row here, would recommend to anyone to stay here.
Cosy accommodation, plenty of room for us. Great location.

L’Escale is a great site for a winter break with everything on the doorstep for skiing. Shower blocks clean and warm! Perfect location. Shuttle bus to the slopes, boot, ski & drying room are good. It wasn’t too busy when we were there so plenty of space between us and our neighbours however during busy periods it a little too crammed in! However this won’t stop us using the site in the future and we will back!
No
Pitch was fine.
How near you are to neighbours in busy periods during winter season. However this wouldn’t stop us returning.

Had a great stay at L’Escale for a ski trip. We were given a lovely spacious pitch which caught the sun. Toilet blocks were cleaned regularly and were warm. Lovely pool and games room. The ski rooms and drying room were really useful. Location in relation to the town and ski buses works really well. We are likely to return again possibly in the summer as well!
Spacious hard standing pitch with electric hookup

Great resort and the camping site was perfectly placed next to the resort. Free bus services and great location.
My Pitch was very muddy and we had to wait for a pallet to become available to use as a platform for accessing my van.
Toilets and showers were excellent, lovely warm and clean. Bar and restaurant was very good, nice takeaways as well.
My pitch was not very good for winter camping.

The close proximity to town. The bread was lovely
Boot room was not working boots were always wet Had to self clean on exit which is not clear on the web site. We came by plane and had no equipment also it does question the cleanliness if the owners are not cleaning themselves for example bugs that cannot be seen can you trust people to use effective products. I don’t think this is best practice given the recent outbreaks of Covid and measles. Some staff were rude we were also told on arrival we could not have the towels and sheets that were pre ordered and paid for but this was rectified
Comfy beds
No knifes for eating and cutting knifes provided

The site is peaceful and well maintained, with ample facilities for motorhome use including EHU, shower/toilet block, grey waste and black waste disposal. Pastries and fresh bread were available each morning if preordered the evening before. The ski room and boot room had plenty of availability. The bus stop for the free skibus to the tele cabins was located right outside the campsite. The restaurant on site also provides takeaway pizzas which were very nice.
The only minor issues we noticed were that some pitches were slightly waterlogged, and didn't appear to dry out for the duration of our stay. There was no rain during our stay so the drainage on some pitches could need some maintenance. There were no recycling or general waste bins on the site. Communal bins were located just outside the camp on the opposite side of the roundabout. It was only a short walk through.
We were in our own motorhome, but provided with a reasonably level pitch with 10amp EHU and access to a water tap reasonably close to the pitch. During the warmer months water is available on each pitch, but for obvious reasons these are turned off in winter. We did need to use one ramp to level our outfit, but nothing unexpected.
As mentioned, some of the pitches remained waterlogged for some days. Fortunately this didn't affect our pitch.

Lovely site with friendly staff. Great location, short walk to town (uphill for people with mobility difficulties). Ski bus stops right outside the site and it’s less than 5 minutes to the lifts. It says the bus is every 20 minutes but we never waited more than 5. Bus station is 5 minutes walk from the site with buses to La Crusaz and other places.
Level and clean. Close to the amenities.
