Camping du Lac

This was a well-run campsite with friendly, efficient staff. It was close to Jumieges abbey ruins, which are spectacular, and a short drive from Rouen. We stayed for a few nights to explore the area before heading further south, but you could easily spend a whole holiday at this campsite. Big swimming beach onto lake, and plenty of opportunities for hire from the outdoor activity base next door.

It was occasionally noisy from groups staying at the outdoors centre, but there wasn't much the campsite could do about that.

The campsite is lovely and friendly, the lake is beautiful and we loved the cleanliness of the area and the water. It was ideal for small children to swim in. We also loved paddleboarding (we took our own), the bouncy castles and tree climbing. The surrounding area is gorgeous.

We had such a disappointing experience with the accommodation which still has not been resolved. There was a terrible smell and the kitchen was completely unhygienic. There was also a lot of confusion about where to book activities and needing to pay for some things only in cash and other things only on card which was confusing.

The main issue was the attitude of the staff. Unfortunately, we found some members of staff very rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. Their way of communicating with guests was inappropriate and made us feel uncomfortable. Staff should be more respectful, welcoming and professional towards customers. This significantly affected our overall experience of the stay.

Toilet facilities (no toilet paper or soap sometimes, blocked sink), electric cables running across paths creating trip hazard.

Staff were very friendly and spoke great English. The site was clean, well layed out and everyone pleasant. Lots of things to do which made the campsite even better.

Check out time was a let down. We had to leave to catch a ferry by 7.45 and nobody was there. But we left without a hitch in the end and exchanged emails.

I accidentally booked twice for this campsite (dodgy internet problem). The campsite emailed me to check if I had made a mistake and I told them I had, expecting them to return the over payment. They have refused to do this citing their cancellation policy - which in fact of course doesn’t actually mention the type of mistake I made. In the end we couldn’t take up our booking for which we didn’t expect a refund (as per the cancellation policy. I accept this fee not being returned but cannot believe the lack of fairness shown by the refusal to return the €60 overpayment.

Refund my money.

Mooie grote plaats met schaduw. Het meer waar je hond kan zwemmen, maar een kleine wandeling kan ook langs het meer en door het park. Vriendelijk personeel. Niet ver van Rouen. De moeite van het bezoeken waard. Veel activiteiten mogelijk ,zoals kajakken, suppen en waterfietsen. Of basketballen, petanque, voetballen etc . En nog veel meer.

Sanitair is onvoldoende schoon en te weinig WC's en douches tov het aantal gasten

Personal muy amable, servicios completos y parcelas con sombra. Junto a la Base Loisirs para disfrutar de la playa y deportes acuáticos. Muchas rutas en bici alrededor.

The lake and water sports.

Neighbours - they were loud until 1am and they had 3 dogs, 2 of which kept coming onto our site, going to toilet and leaving it there. It was disgusting!

Really lovely place to stay. The lake and all the activities are a huge draw and are very well kept indeed. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Very dog friendly with nice walks.

Het sanitair was smerig, incl de afwasautomaten. Er waren weinig wc’s en douches met vaak koud water. Op de plekken lag veel rotzooi en het groen werd slecht onderhouden. Plekken zijn groot, ligging is mooi aan een recreatieplas en de afstand naar Rouen is perfect.

Wij hadden een paar leuke dagen op de camping. Angers is makkelijk bereikbaar op de fiets en het recreatiemeer met strand is dichtbij

Ensure hot water is available for showers, washing up, and washing hands in basin in the toilets.

The pitch was spacious and flat. Good facilities although as we only stayed one night we didn't get to use them all. The park facilities were excellent and the lake lovely. Would definitely return for a longer stay.

We really enjoyed our cyclo tent stay in June. The team were always friendly, welcoming and helpful which we really appreciated. The cyclo tent itself was the most comfortable and practical of many similar we've stayed in, with the bonus of somewhere dry and secure for the bikes. The facilities are clean and well-functioning. Peaceful environment, quiet at night. Very happy with our stay and would love to return.

A few more items (e.g. tinned foods) in the camp shop would be handy, but there is a great epicerie in Jumiege.

The campsite is in a beautiful setting and the camping pitches are a good size.

The first night of our stay a group near to us who were staying in a mobile home had left their home and then the keypad had failed and they couldn’t gain access to their home. The reception was closed and there was no one to help and no emergency telephone number. We then realised that we couldn’t leave the campsite as the main gate was locked and there is no pedestrian entry. We asked the receptionist the next day about the situation and he said there was usually a security guard in the evening but we didn’t see one for the duration of our stay. It doesn’t feel safe to be locked in to a site
