This was the first time we had stayed at the camp-site and found it to be excellent. It is well laid out with hedges between each pitch which gives a little privacy.
The only thing which I disliked was the price of wifi connection - €6 for 2 hours. The week before we had been to a site - also on the Cotentin peninsula - which charged €20 for 60 hours. I realise that this is out of the control of the camp site proprietors but I think that there should be a better deal - the mobile phone signal is not that good at the camp site except near the office complex.Review Pitch
The pitch was very good. Electricity, water and drainage was included and it was surrounded by hedges which gave a little privacy.

Claire Mcguckianyoung couple From 21/08/2021 to 22/08/2021"Very cramped pitches during covid. Filled to capacity. "
Actually position of the campsite is perfect by the sea
Overall price was expensive. For a 5 start site the was no phone reception so felt forced into buying wifi which was expensive. Our motorhome was crammed into a pitch opposite the indoor pool and had trouble getting it in and out due to other cars being parked either side. We stayed in 6 campsites on this holiday and this was felt the most disappointing which was a pity as it was our last site.Review Pitch
You could hear the sea.
Far too cramped had trouble negotiating our motorhome into the pitch when cars are parked either side and had the wall of the indoor pool opposite. With covid it felt very unsafe having so many people cramped into all the pitches as other campsites are running at 2/3rd capacity yet Camping Le Grand Large was rammed.Detailed markView detailsGeneral information10Accommodation6Region10Cleanliness10Comfort6Quality-price ratio6Reception10Services & amenities6Bathing10

Gordon - Leekoap couple From 01/08/2020 to 03/08/2020"Excellent site"
Attention to detail during the Covid situation was second to none. We felt very safe. The amenities for children and adults were brilliant even though we didn’t need to use them. Water and drainage on each pitch is an added bonus.
Considering the site is so far from Pieux down country lanes the shop on site was very poorly stocked for anyone with a Motorhome who didn’t want to go on and off all the time. I wouldn’t feel happy cycling those lanes either and without a car it meant you needed to really stock your groceries before arriving. We understand Covid has made a difference and don’t know what it is like under normal circumstancesReview Pitch
The first time we stayed for a couple of nights at the start of our holiday e were given the pitch right on the entrance to the beach which wasn’t so good. It was exposed, windy and public but the second visit at the end of our stay we had a very good pitch and were extremely happy

Mandy - Andernachfamily with teenager(s) From 25/07/2020 to 01/08/2020"Fabulous clean and friendly campsite next to beach"
Really friendly English speaking staff. Direct on beach, 1 minute walk. Water sport paradise, surfing, kitesurfing. Really new and clean shower block. A library with English novels. Campsite is not huge , so was very quiet. Table tennis, swimming pool all great to have.
Due to corona there was no entertainment, not sure if there is entertainment usually. Super U is 3km but no busses, walking along country roads to get there is a bit dangerous. So you need to drive there.Review Pitch
