Evaluations that are not older than three years and have undergone a verification process. More infoWe loved our glamping experience and enjoyed the breakfast that was included -served in basket and included fresh bread and a choice of pastries, provided by friendly staff.
Cute canvass covered static tent with electric connections as fine for our stay as didn't have to pack tent and sleeping bags.

Friendly and helpful receptionist, good sized pitches, clean facilities. Nice location, close to beaches and marshes for birdwatching. Great cycle routes, although we didn't use them because of bad weather. The village was lovely too.
The press button showers didn't last long, but they were warm so it's a small complaint.
All was good.
WiFi access could be improved.

Great friendly staff, very helpful.
Proximity to village

The quiet camping park. The beautiful area and the village. The lady in reception was very helpful
To have only one drinking water tap for all the pitches was terrible. Also, access to the only one motorhome service point was very difficult, particularly with a large unit. The swimming pool sunbeds were packed away during our stay leaving only 5 beds available for use. This was not enough on the days we went in the afternoons
Defined hedges and enough space for us
A bit overgrown

Not very much to like about this place except that it was quiet.
The whole site needs to be tidied up - the whole area was littered with dried leaves and the chalets looked ancient. Unfortunately, the appearance of the site was very disappointing
The pitch was ok but backed by bamboo behind which there was a worksite. This in itself didn't cause us any problems but the pitch just looked tired and messy. It was a short walk to a couple of restaurants and the little village that had bit more to offer in the way of a few shops and restaurants was just bit further away on foot. Mostly the area was made up of holiday homes which were already closed up.
How untidy the whole place was and nothing was open - nowhere on site to get a drink, buy any food or any service whatsoever.

We had a very quiet peaceful spot at the end of the island, hence, no traffic at the end of the road! The site was tidy and amenities good. Within easy walking distance of a beautiful beach and ‘centre ville’. Porte en Re has a supermarket with everything you’d need when in a ‘camping car’. We didn’t use any eateries as we were self catering but the restaurants appeared popular. The cycling network is brilliant AND it’s flat! You don’t need to use a car until you leave if you take your own bikes. There are also lots of bike hire centres dotted across the island.
We went mid September, after the peak. The toilets were short of paper when required! And a couple of times the toilets weren’t fully clean.Take your own soap and towels for handwashing. Not really any downside otherwise.
Flat pitch, close to ehu and water. Surrounded by trees making it feel enclosed and private but not squeezed in. Not overly lit at nightime.Close to toilets without being on top of them.
Nothing to dislike

Very well kept campsite. Great location. Nice and quiet with friendly people. Good clean facilities.
Spacious

proximity to beach 5 min easy bike ride. late arrivals have pitch map & keycode in envelope, stuck on reception window so hassle free. peaceful with clean facilities. Yes, bit of view of mens backs at urinals,so look sideways for 2/3 steps. Pleased to find pool still heated in Sept so thankyou.
Remove/clear vegetation totally obscuring your entrance sign.( Are we there.??..is this it..??.) Arriving late, the signage from road was small &we missed the little finger post. Could be bigger and brighter....its a pain turning round when you miss it. Dont expect pool to be as big as it looks in that v flattering photo! .However clean, warm with good childrens bit so thumbs up.
level,clean,reasonably private
We would have liked option for a non electric pitch to let our solar panels do their off grid thing ,but fully understand you make more £££ (sorry no euro sign on keyboard) with hook-up. Bit of a squeeze for the big motorhomes to get parked but cant see how you could make pitches bigger...anyway fine for our campervan.

Beautiful location, good access to shops and the local village markets. Plenty of space on a nice clean site 🤙🏻
End of season and the grass on the pitches has taken a hammering.

Rock hard ground .bring spare pegs and a good hammer

The pool was lovely and the area divine
Site had no sun and we were on top of a young family
I had my own accommodation

Lovely pool, site situated in idyllic setting, staff / team very helpful and welcoming.
Better access to electric points would be needed especially if the site was full, we had a 25m cable and struggled to find a free point!
Good size plot, and good privacy
Not enough electric points for the number of pitches.

Staff are friendly
The place was untidy and unloved. The local beaches were the same.
Had electric available and was working
The complete site was untidy, unloved and over crowded, pitches are way too small

Yet another lovely visit to the Ile de Re.
Relaxed atmosphere, great for the village of Les Portes, restaurants & beaches. Pitch sizes vary, but ours was huge. Facilities a bit tired, but ample showers & loos, always plenty of hot water. Classic French laid back campsite with small pool & bar.

Perfect start to our holiday. Nothing was too much to ask at reception. Very helpful and accommodating. We didn’t want to leave and can see why it booked up well in advance. Would definitely return.
Nothing.
We were sheltered by the trees which helped as it was very warm. In the summer time pitches were dusty ground but it was to be expected as it was so warm.

Personel was friendly, electricity was good.
Nothing todo for the kids except the swimming pool, however they were renovating a building next to the pool which resulted in sawing and chopping and a lot of dust.
Pitch was fine.
Loaded with ants.
Thanks for your comment we will transmit to all staff, there a lot to do with the kids, you should have asked at reception. We are suffering as much as you are from the building work next door, but we have no choice. As we're out in nature, ants are part of the campsite, and its free for them... :) By the way thanks for your staying. Patrick et Charlotte
