Camping de l'Île du Chéran

The picture on the web doesn't represent the site. It appears to be a tranquil lakeside small site. However it is really a very busy family orientated holiday camp. Complete with numerous floating bouncy castles. We were given a space oposite the toilets, not very quiet and smelly. At €30/night, not the greatest experience.

Honest website representation. Don't have pitches right next to toilet blocks.

The location was great, the staff very friendly, lots to do and see in the area

It's a nice campsite, well spaced out plots, but sooooo many scout and school camps, it was really noisy. And they were at the toilet blocks,all the time, leaving them dirty. Shame, because there's lots to do in the area and the bar restsurant nearby at the plan d'eau is great fun.

Can't really say fewer children! It's better for families! Would be nice to be able to swim in the lake near the camping spot, hut can only do this in the designated swimming area, which is always busy and noisy

We stayed there off the season in September and the camp was very fine and quite.

A lot of green, nice walks, quiet, no mosquitos

Urinals in the men's sanitary would improve availability and cleanliness of toilets. Cleaning of sanitary spaces could be better.

It is well organized, clean, well maintained, well equipped, with good services and beautiful green camping spots in beautiful nature. There is the possibility of many activities, hiking, biking, water sports, ... Also good restaurants with an evening program.

By the river and the shade on pitches. Facilities ( freezer, room to relax and watch tv , restaurant nearby ). Peaceful.

Toilets and bathrooms are not very clean. Location a little bit remote

Nice location, good reception, Le Pont, walking distance has very nice shops. Swimming area and a number of other activities. Overall very enjoyable

Next to our site, a multi-family group. No consideration for other campers. On the last day thought it acceptable to dump their coffee grinds at the foot of the water/ power outlet.

We totally enjoyed our weekend camping at Ile du Chrran - So much to do - Watersports - river - lake - walks - slides - sprinklers - fantastic restaurant

Sono avec basses entêtantes une grande partie de la journée et certaines nuits aussi . Repos compliqué.

Très bon séjour

Plan d'eau pour la baignade / Offre de restauration / Espace détente au bord du Lac / position du camping pour rayonner dans le massif et faire des randonnées

Camping agreable, nuit fraiche ( très agréable en cas de canicule), activités variées autour. Les Beauges sont un très joli territoire

Les sanitaires : temperature de l'eau chaude non réglable dans les douches ( eau peut etre limite brulante, et un jour eau froide). Beaucoup d'araignées dans les sanitaires, menage des murs bof, et un coup de fraicheur. Un coin baignade dans l'etang qui jouxte le camping serait un vrai plus. Une sanction pour les campeurs veillant très tard (jusqu' 4h du matin, en étant alcoolisés et en parlant fort)
