Good location for Aix, nice pool and bar area. Good quality wash rooms and toilets. Pitches were a little cramped and difficult to get into.

That we had chosen to return to Camping La Forêt for a second visit is testament in itself. We took our own bedding but bedding is available for hire. We used Camping La Forêt as a base to get out and explore the Pyrenees as it’s fairly central. If you are looking for a “camping” holiday with comfort, then this might be the place for you. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a chalet with two bedrooms. The chalets are well appointed and even in some dreary weather in October were fine to be in during the day. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds and the kitchen equipment that you need for 9 days away.

A very peaceful, wooded campsite in the Pyrenees. Pleasant walks lead to Lourdes Sanctuary and the town centre. We particularly appreciated its eco-friendly approach: well-organised recycling, timed taps and showers, and motion-sensor lighting, reduced to a minimum at night to respect guests and wildlife. There are lovely nature trails, a useful small shop, a working pool and friendly staff. The restaurant offers takeaway meals and morning bread by reservation. Toilets and showers are in separate areas, which may feel unusual to some. Our stay was in mid-season, so we cannot comment on high.
The free-range pig, chickens, and forest wildlife contributed to the charm of the place. Although these animals seem very peaceful and accustomed to the hustle and bustle of people at the campsite,Extra attention should be paid to children to prevent them from playing with them. The toilets and showers are in separate areas, which may seem unusual to some. Our stay was during the shoulder season, so we can't comment on the high season. Overall, a charming place to appreciate nature, peace, and simplicity. It would be unfair of me to consider these comments as problems; they are just different.
My stay at the campsite was in a comfortable, spacious, and wooded area, close to the sanitary facilities. I camped with a tent attached to my car. The on-demand electricity was good, sufficient, and close to the tent.

Liked the area, the Staff and Harriet the 🐖, the short cut to the grotto is not for pensioners unless they are extremely fit. We used the Bus service which is reliable and cheap.

Regarding your suggestion about tarmacking the driveways to the pitches, we deliberately choose to keep our paths natural and non-paved to preserve the rustic, eco-friendly feel of our site and allow rain to naturally soak into the ground. The campground is very tidy and the amenities are very clean and work well. The staff are brilliant and always helpful. The fast food available is good quality but the restaurant is really good with an excellent selection

We were disappointed that they closed the kids pool during our stay. That pool was one of the reasons for us to choose this campsite and the website does not state that it will be closed from September on. Then the adults only pool got closed too, and therefore we felt like our kids were bothering others swimming in the normal pool, because there were a lot of adults who wanted to go to the adults only pool and didn’t seem to appreciate the kids playing in the water. The pool could have more options for shadowed sunbeds. Bummer the bouncy jumpcastle was off/cleaned up already too.
The mobile home was great: very clean and nicely situated. Equipment was sufficient, we really enjoyed the terrace and the view.
We really missed mosquito nets in front of the windows and doors. In the forest there’s a lot of bugs and especially in this heat you want to be able to open a window at night. Plastic kids plates/bowls would be nice. Mattress cover was too small to cover the double bed mattress so we partially laid on the plastic mattress, which was hot and uncomfortable. Ladies at the restaurant seemed very busy running around looking stressed out. Not many smiles from them… Maybe have extra help on busy nights for the waitresses?

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Bakery available each morning and on-site Restaurant good. Clean and well organised site.
It would be helpful if the route to Lourdes Shrine could have direction signs to clearly mark out the route ti the shrine. It was not easy to follow the map.

We found the staff very helpful. English was spoken to a high standard. The restaurant was small but the quality of food was very good. (Advisable to book a table). The pitch was sufficiently large to enable awning etc, and was shaded which was nice given the hot weather. Access to Lourdes was helped by a regular shuttle bus. It is possible to walk into Lourdes, but up hill on the return.

We stayed for 6 nights and were able to visit many places within an hour's drive. If you don't mind the incline from the site to the Sanctuary of Lourdes, it is a reasonable walk. We were stationed in our motorhome but managed to rent a car from the aiport which is 15 minutes away.
Not sure about having to wear budgie smugglers to use the pool but them's the rules in France apparently.
Some of the plots are narrow, and one needs to park side on. However, if you have a privacy room it may not be wide enough to put up as the access roads are quite narrow.
