The great area. The campsite was very tidy and everyone was very friendly. The food in the restaurant was great and the massage was just very soothing and relaxing
Unfortunately, our terrace was in the shade a lot, which was certainly an advantage in summer, but more of a disadvantage now. The mattress was very hard and very hot at night due to the rubber coating.
It was nice to have the location of the terrace to yourself. The size of the house was also ideal
The shower bracket was broken. And the shower drain was still clogged with hair from the previous tenant.

The beach was quite busy from early morning untill the late evening The beach was monitored by Beach live savers , very secure for children But of you want a Classy beach holliday with bars at the beach , this wil not be your place The weekends crowded with local France citizens . Pitch too noisy from neighbours in wooden House’ a louer’ - the residents changed. Nearly every day and we’re very noisy / talking outside until after midnight.

Stayed three nights in two-person tent. Arrived by train then walked 20 minutes to campsite (although bus available). Weather dry and warm so coastal and inland walks. Visited campsite beach, Martigues. No.30 bus stops outside and costs one euro for any distance, to La Couronne (shops, railway station) and on to Martigues.
Chose pitch with fridge and barbecue in locked cupboard (which was also used for storage), plus covered picnic table - very useful for us. Toilet block clean. Pizza restaurant on site or for takeaway. Basic shop. Fresh bread collection in morning available. Helpful staff. Bike hire was free, although didn't have time to take advantage. Short walk to beach. No.30 bus stop right outside.
No hand dryer in toilet block. Pitch quite hard and stoney - make sure you have a good sleep mat! Had to borrow hammer for pegs. Would have preferred microwave to barbecue!

We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay at Camping Marius. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the site itself was quiet and calm even though it was full. Our accommodation was comfortable and well equipped which made for a happy stay and we enjoyed a couple of good meals at the restaurant. The takeaway pizzas were also delicious! The location was perfect for a relaxing beach holiday, just a few minutes walk to a beautiful beach. The village was about half an hour’s walk away with bars, shops and a market twice a week. A lovely break away from it all.
It was well equipped and very spacious. Good bathroom facilities with hot shower and the air conditioning was great while it was hot weather. The dishwasher was a bonus too. We really liked the deck with the BBQ - much preferred this to the BBQ in the shed at our other chalet last year. There was a good range of outdoor furniture for us too.
Our chalet ( number 44) just lacked a bit of privacy that some of the others had. The camper vans directly opposite were very close and there wasn’t really much of a hedge between us.

Felt like a prison, everything behind fences and high hedges. Smell of nearby industry plant. Good beach, nice cliffs. 10 min walk.
Restaurant is not very special. Service was not very nice and sand was in the salad.

Great location with good rail link into Marseille. Enjoyed relaxing by the pool with great views out to sea.
Would like to have had toilet seats and washing-up bowls or plugs for the sinks. The selection at the shop was limited with bare shelves but this was probably due to stock being run down as the season came to a close.
Electrical hookup was well located, good spacing between pitches and plenty of trees to provide shade.

Second time staying by Camping Marius. Very friendly people in a beautiful surrounding. Very good music at the Restaurant.
More posibility to take Hot water and some more toilets would be fine.

Camping is small but very well run. Not very shaded but the pitch are spacious and provide privacy. Bathrooms always clean. Very close to the sandy beach. Good restaurant for lunch/dinner and breakfast.
Market is very small and does not offer fresh product (fruits, vegetables..)

Easy access to the beaches. The restaurant served good food, for a reasonable price. Fresh baguettes and croissants were really nice.
Would be nice if there was a place where all the kids could meet @ the campsite, like e small field to play ball games.
Outside area was nice and shady. BBQ is nice, and the watertap outside is easy.
Cleaning could be better. 3-person bed was quite wobbly: when 1 person moved, the other 2 woke up.
