I have camped in France over many years and this is the best. The friendly, staff work extremely hard to provide a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for people of all ages. The choice of activities for children is excellent including fishing and falconry. The food and drink is delicious including local produce and the gift selection in the reception is well stocked. The evening entertainment is varied with local musicians and exhibitors. The campsite is on the river where canoes can be hired. Local buses stop nearby. We came by public transport. This was our 2nd visit and we will be back.
The shade in hot weather was important. Sanitary facilities were a short walk for our children and play park was nearby.

The night before our arrival there was a major storm bringing down trees and power lines, despite which the team at the campsite kept things going. Out of season so the campsite quiet . Lovely beach on the Dordogne so great for just floating around.

Lovely campsite on banks of Dordogne with direct river access. Great swimming pool and reception with small cafe
Toilet and shower facilities open to outside and could be cold to use in the mornings. Also lots of dead flies etc around washbasins and shower cubicles which made the area not very nice to use.
River view
Not very grassy so lots of dirt as under many trees. Other pitches away from the river had better grass

However, there's not much we can do about the mayflies in the sinks in the morning (it's just nature), even if we clean them in the morning. Fabian and his team were extremely helpful and welcoming. The toilet blocks were clean and showers were excellent
I personally wouldn’t stay there again for two reasons: it’s predominantly for the French and there was a general lack of tidiness around some pitches that detracted from the site.

Fantastic family run campsite. The site was exceptionally clean and tidy, great pool area and lovely restaurant. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely family run site, helping us with all our requirements. We were parked right next to the river as we requested, with the owner checking everything was satisfactory a couple of hours after settling in. The swimming pool was wonderful. Showers etc great, laundry facilities too. Fresh bread etc can be ordered the day before. Bar area and food all good. I can’t give anything but praise.

Beautiful ares. We had a pitch right by the river which was wonderful. We were able to launch our kayak straight from the site. Very helpful staff who suggested best cycling and kayak routes.

Couple on a clucking holiday , With a small tent . Reception staff friendly and helpful . Wash facilities clean . Restaurant limited choice but very good value .

The site is in a lovely location.Spacious pitches without dividers ..There is a chateau (now a hotel) looking down on the site very picturesque...The river runs alongside the site and is used for canoeing.
The washing machine was not easily accessible..Tokens may be an improvement.
Large and offered some shade from the warm sun.

Sauberkeit, direkt am Fluss
Wir haben hier halt gemacht, bzgl. Durchreise nach Spanien. Hat uns gut gefallen, netter Empfang, direkt am Fluss. Unbedingt den Burger essen, sehr lecker und gute Preise. Alles war sauber!!!

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour dans ce camping que nous connaissions déjà. Tous les ingrédients sont réunis pour un séjour relaxant et calme. La piscine et la plage directement sur la Dordogne complètent vraiment les installations l’accueil est chaleureux et efficace, avec toujours une équipe à notre écoute
L’espace extérieur avec une terrasse en bois très spacieuse, véritable lieu de vie . Une cuisine bien équipée Des lits confortables !!

Cela fait plusieurs fois que l'on va dans ce camping, l'équipe est très gentille et souriante, et il y a beaucoup de services proposé. La région est magnifique et le camping est idéalement situé.
Tout le confort est à disposition avec une belle petite terrasse.
Chambre du haut ideale pour des enfants car la hauteur sous plafond est un peu juste pour un adulte.

Nous avons passé é séjours cet été dans ce merveilleux camping. Tout est parfait: l'accueil quasi familiale, un personnel au petits soins pour chacun de nous, de belles installations dont la belle piscine. le camping est ombragé sur toute sa surface avec des emplacements qui donnent soit sur la Dordogne soit avec une vue sur les falaises . Nous reviendrons certainement.
