Evaluations that are not older than three years and have undergone a verification process. More infoThe site is well equipped the facilities are kept spotlessly clean. We enjoyed trying the local wines that were for sale in the main reception.
Given that many of the campers are from th eUK [over 60% during our visit], we would recommend the site offers a more flexible check in time.
Pitch 9 - Private with unobstructed views of Loire River
Not very sunny

This is an excellent campsite, right on the banks of the Loire. Large pitches (right by the river if you book it in advance) with great views. The facilities are spotless and the staff are friendly and helpful. Often used by cyclists doing the Loire route (who are well catered for), as well as the usual motorhomes and caravans. Highly recommended.
Can't think of much that could be improved!

Stayed for 5 nights. Would have liked to stay longer. Riverside pitch with good views Liked the small town and market on Sunday. Good restaurant be and café in centre.. Wine tasting at near by cellars. Saumur an easy drive. All very clean and well cared for. Reception was welcoming and helpful..
Better instructions for finding the campsite. Electricity kept going off in the morning at breakfast time.

Stayed two nights in lovely village of Montsoreau. Site in village on beautiful stretch of loot and access to cycle path just outside. Facilities excellent and immaculate, best on our trip. Site itself was very full but quiet and pitches are well segregated and shaded. Certainly will use again
Some issues both mornings with power interumptions, but these things happen.
Good electric supply nice pitch size.

We enjoyed our stay at Camping L’isle Verte. Great base for exploring the area. Right on the Loire. Campsite has good amenities. Staff are very friendly. We had to cut our stay short but we will definitely be back.
Lovely big pitch with shade and sun.

We enjoyed our stay very much - the staff are friendly - the campsite is clean - the pool is lovely - the village is 5 minutes walk away - the cycling is easy - and the campsite is right next to The Loire!
We liked having our own shower/toilet and kitchen - it made things a lot easier for us
A more powerful - and constantly hot - shower would be good!

Private facilities good although pitch a little small for our caravan and awning
Would be nice to have small shop on site for essentials like milk etc Pool not invalid friendly difficult for persons with walking problems to get into pool Again access to bar and pool area via steps and not invalid friendly
Facilities good and clean
Most pitches with private facilities also have a private water and waste supply for the caravan this one doesn’t

We chose this site for the village location and amount of activities in the surrounding area. While, we didn't get to see much due to an injury, the campsite itself made a disappointing situation into a delightful one. The view from our pitch of the surrounding hills was lovely. The snacks in the resturant were great. The swimming pool always had room if not a sun lounger. The kids enjoyed the table tennis and trampolines. We all loved the star gazing and watching the bats fly at dusk. We loved watching all the cyclists roll in and set up camps in the afternoons. We would definitely come back.
The kids thought there could be more equipment for the playground, a football pitch or basket ball court and easier access to the tennis courts.
This site is well looked after by the caretakers. They keep the place impeccably clean and act on any notifications of problems quickly. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. There eco aspect was also fantastic with herb plants & tomatoes to pick, chickens to watch and composting facilities. The riverside path behind the site was a great way of getting into the village without having to walk along the main road. Our pitch was near the playground so we could watch the kids from our chairs and we were never disturbed by noise even the entertainment night was fine.

Local bars restaurants bakery and butcher
Perhaps more slightly modern showers ? Very dark in the morning when leaving at 7am as lights didn’t come on
Great sized pitch nice and shady and private
The water outlet sprayed everywhere but wasn’t a problem. Noisy neighbor who FaceTimed his wife on speaker at 11pm was slightly irritating when trying to sleep

We've been to Isle Verte many times, and every time we return we are reminded that we have never found a better campsite in our trips to France. The site and area surrounding have everything that you could want, staff are friendly and helpful, facilities excellent. We love it.
Please don't reduce the space for touring pitches!
Riverside pitches are lovely, most with shade, and a lovely peaceful view of the river.
