Owners were exceptionally nice and friendly. We also had a nice meal in the restaurant on one evening. Nice walk for the dogs along the cycle path.
We had a good sized pitch with shade which was vital given the very hot weather.

Very likeable campsite. Spacious, private and shady/sunny pitches. The sanitary facilities were very good with paper and soap and hot water. Beautiful location. Nice play area with petanque pitches. Fantastic shop, bar and restaurant the pizzas were homemade and delicious. Extremely friendly hard working owners. Would definitely come again.

This was a fantastic stay on a lovely site. The best for the dog with the river at the gate. Very good hosts.
Only the earth ground on our plot was tricky with the dog. If we stay again would ask for a grassy site.

The location alongside the Loire is perfect. Great for sitting on the terrace with a drink enjoying the sunset! If you love cycling, then having one of the many Velo routes passing the entrance, is a real bonus. The campsite is nestled amongst trees and is well laid out with spacious pitches that easily accommodate our 7m motorhome. The toilet and shower block has everything you need and is kept spotlessly clean. The best thing about this site though, are the owners, Natalie and Cyril. They are simply the best in every way!

Unlike some other sites the WiFi was not limited to the reception area and worked well. We had a campervan pitch with 10A EHU which worked fine.

Nathalie and Cyril gave us, and our large dog, a great welcome to our first camp of our holiday. Lovely location on the banks of the Loire. Good washrooms and showers. Can walk a km or so to small grocery shop in village. Thank you!

Nathalie and Cyril are superb hosts. Lovely and relaxing on the terrace in the afternoon sun drinking 1664 in a blue glass and a pitchet of white wine. Very clean facilities.

Lovely chilled little campsite with private large pitches. Toilets and showers were immaculate.
Minor however there was no hand wash in toilets.

The welcome
Move dishwashing facilities away from toilet and shower area. Add adequate night lighting and fill in potholes around site.
Local festival in town. Owners very friendly.
Pitch close to opposite campers and narrow when parking. Very dark when walking to bathroom at night, a good torch essential. Very gritty pitch.

Another great stay at La Poterie with Nathalie and Cyril who are the most welcoming hosts. Whilst a little way out of Amboise it is still a great base to explore the area. Cyril’s cooking skills are well worth booking in for whether it be Pizza Night, Burger Night and sitting on the terrace enjoying your meal, sur place or emporter, is delightful. Nathalie is a very attentive hostess too. Facilities are clean and tidy and showers good and hot.
Nothing that we can think of as improvements have been made over the years that we have visited. The hosts keep on top of everyday essentials and repairs when needed - they are very hands on and care for their customers.
We loved our pitch - just right for our needs and a good size with easy access to ehu and water and not far from shower/toilet block facilities. Very quiet at night and peaceful (September).

Cyrillic and Nathalie are the most welcoming and helpful of hosts. Always cheerful, joking and kind.
Towards the end of season of course the pitch for our campervan had lost most of the grass, and was therefore sandy, but that is normal. The pitch itself was spacious, and gave good privacy and shelter. Electric hookup was good for our needs, water tap not far away and the WiFi had a good strong signal. Altogether, very good.

Fabulous little campsite right next to river. Lovely elevated bar overlooking the view. Spacious camp plots with bushes separating them out. Plenty of shade. Friendly and helpful owners. Facilities clean even though peak season..... Would definitely stay again
