Pitches are good ,showers,toilets and other washing facilities excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful, I was impressed with the fire drill, it's good to see the staff are trained and ready to deal with these situations, I would definitely come back to this campsite

Well located site for beaches and outlets around the lighthouse. Pitches were good size and on site amenities were clean and well maintained. Enjoyed having the bakery onsite for morning bread & pastries, and whilst the on site grocery shop only had a small selection of items, the choices were good. And during a period of extreme temperatures that occurred during our stay, the site ensured there was plenty of drinking water available to stay hydrated.
The site was in a great location for exploring the north & middle of Ile de Re; pair it with another equally good site further south to give easier access to the rest of the isle.
We enjoyed a requested sunny, good sized pitch with water and electricity.

About everything is what we consider excellent. The super friendly young staff, the location at 200 meters from the atlantic ocean, the pitch and the other facilities.

Our 1st visit to the Ile de Re and I think we definitely chose the right site to camp on. Good access to cycle paths and local village/shops. Being able to buy fresh bread on site was a great feature too. My only regret was that we didn’t stay for longer.

The staff were all friendly the site is beautiful and clean. The toilets have toilet roll and beautiful smelling soap. The flowers on the site are amazing and so well rendered. Bread and croissant sold on site each morning were very tasty. You can walk to the town or cycle really easily and also the Fare has food and.drinks. thank you for all you do. .

Regarding the swimming pool, we understand that it could be a nice addition. However, due to the environmental and regional restrictions that apply to Île de Ré, we are not able to install one. We are lucky to be located just a few steps from the ocean, in a preserved natural setting, and we do our best to offer a peaceful and authentic holiday experience. The site has scruffy pitches that are squeezed into the site. We had a good position but the pitch was weedy and full of plants and scrub. The coast is opposite the site but it’s not a good beach as it’s very rocky and seaweeds. The toilets and showers are immaculate- best ever -staff friendly - facilities and child area looked great. I wouldn’t stay here again as it’s at the top of the island and a long way to cycle to get to the nice towns etc

We are pleased to read that you appreciated the cleanliness of our sanitary facilities, the friendliness of our team, and the facilities available on site. We are, however, sorry to read that your pitch did not fully meet your satisfaction. As you were able to view and choose your pitch on arrival from several available options, we are a little surprised by the very low score given for the accommodation. Our campsite is located in a preserved coastal environment, and we try to maintain a natural setting rather than overly artificial pitches. That being said, we take your comments about pitch maintenance into account, as we are always looking to improve the comfort of our guests. Regarding the location, the campsite is indeed situated at the very end of the island, close to the lighthouse and the wild coastline. This peaceful and natural setting is one of the main reasons many guests choose to stay with us, but we understand that it may not suit everyone depending on the type of holiday they are looking for. We thank you for highlighting the positive aspects of your stay and wish you all the best.

Bonjour Mr Dufour, Merci beaucoup pour votre agréable retour, Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié le panorama ainsi que votre emplacement près de l’abris du canot de sauvetage, un endroit effectivement très apprécié pour sa proximité immédiate avec l’océan, rythmé par le bruit des vagues et les couchers de soleil. C’est exactement l’expérience que nous souhaitons faire vivre à nos vacanciers : un séjour au plus près de la nature, dans un cadre apaisant, où l’on peut profiter pleinement de la mer et des grands espaces de l’île de Ré. Au plaisir de vous accueillir de nouveau aux Baleines pour une prochaine escapade sur l’île de Ré. Florian

The site is very clean and the staff are so polite. We had breads and pastries baked on site every morning. Its close to the beach and you can hear the sea. The facilities are very clean and tidy. You can cycle form the park around the Island very safely on cycle routes. There was also a free bus which you can catch to various places.
We had a lovely pitch for our motorhome, 2 adults. The pitches are large and well spaced apart, so you do not feel crammed together.
