The pool and the general St.Hillaire de Riez area were the big draw back to Les Genets. It was very accessible to activities in the area. Anne in reception was very helpful when we had an issue.
The restaurant was not open all the time, the takeaway served pizza but we had to go to the food truck for chips which made no sense at all. Everything catered for French holidaymakers but not the Irish who were the ones spending alot of money on site. Their requests at the bar were not met and completely disregarded despite French holiday makers not spending money at the bar. That was very disappointing and would turn us off returning to the site.
It was a typical cabin. The island is handy as it gives more space for preparation at meal time.
The cabin was not very clean on arrival. We had to go to reception twice over 1. Decking chairs were filthy with food stuck in them. 2. A frying pan had food stuck to it. These were rectified. The presses were not fully wiped out and no bbq equipment was supplied.

Tent accommodation was filthy dirty and substandard considering the cost. It had not been thoroughly cleaned before we arrived.

Having been several times it still feels so good to return. The pool area is fabulous and just love the area. Anne and team are amazing and so helpful. Would recommend the site to everyone!
Booking fee at €30 seemed excessive when booked the day before and in a quieter period.

Good site for young families. Close to beach and supermarket. 10 minutes by car to the centre of St. Jean de Monts
The toilet block beside the swimming pool was not laid out very well which resulted in men using the ladies toilet/shower facilities. My daughters were uncomfortable with this. Signage needs to be more obvious. I informed reception staff who said it would be remedied next season as new shower block were due to be installed. A simple sign could have been used in the meantime. The other 2 shower blocks were better laid out so no issues with them.
Our pitch no 40 was between 2 mobiles. Adequate space and some shade from the trees
The pitch was directly in front of the staircase of the biggest water slide so it was noisy during the pool opening hours

We have spent our main holiday at Les Genets campsite on and off now for 27 years from when our children were small and now with their own families. Campsite is run by extremely dedicated staff and has fabulous facilities.
Cannot say we dislike anything however I would highlight that the showers can be extremely hot especially in the evening. One suggestion is to change to mixer supply to allow you to adjust the temperature.
Pitches are spacious and clean. This year the addition of a small shed was an excellent addition

The campsite appears to be run by teenagers unable to operate the place properly. Food from the takeaway was poor and waited 1.5hrs for a pizza after which the chef said he forgot about me. Pitch was very tight and very sandy my van got stuck in it the first day also it took ages to get the camping gear clean after all the sand and pine needles. Waste disposal for the camper was very far from the pitch. Showers and bathroom facilities where dirty. The vip package was bad the sunloungers where broken and didn't sit properly. Tumble dryer was broken for the entire stay in our local wash area
Not 5 star very sandy and no maintenance done on them where covered in pine needles. The vip package is a waste of money as one of our sun loungers was broken and bbq where dirty. Pitch was also very small and provided little or no privacy
Was totally sub standard fora 5 star. We are now in La pin Parasol and the pitches are clean well much larger ,organised and free from any sand.

Pool complex was amazing. No busy so many lovely pools. Kids were entertained daily even in the rain.
Toilets and showers were OK ish often no soap and the main area locked at night so often queues with teenagers waiting outside. Too dark to let even the 12 year old up alone in the eve. Kids got hassled by teenagers in toilets one night too..... We were near the pool complex but lots of footfall by tent. Pitch was very unlevel. Lots of birds in the trees but that also meant lots of bird poo on the tent! Large area for games is all boules tiny football pitch usually owned by teenagers so our kids wouldn't get

All the facilities are brillant. The Pool the Bar the slides. The entertainment was good as well(but maybe a little bit in English).
The Camping pitch’s needs a bit off tidying covered in weed and sand. Sand get everywhere inside the Campervan..

The location of the campsite and amenities within are fantastic and perfect for a all families.
The epicerie and bar were not always open during our stay. The cafe takeaway service was only open once which is the first time we have experienced parts of the site closed.

the woman on the reception is very nice. Also the men in the shop. The swimmingpool is fantastic!!! We really liked that. It was very clean and a lot to do for all ages. The lego is also great!!! You can walk easy to a few shops, restaurant and the beach.
Everything is only in French. So my kids didnt want to go to the animation. Only the woman at the reception speaks english. The take away and bar/ icecream corner are closed a lot. The sanitair isnt really clean and closed at night. There are only 2 toilets you can use at that time and no shower.

there is no place for only camping. All the camping pitches are between the mobile homes.

Verbleven in een tent voor een periode van vijf nachten.+ Enorm leuk zwembad voor de kinderen. Aanwezigheid van een speelplaats voor jeu de boules, een terrein waar men verschillende sporten kan beoefenen en een speeltuin voor de kinderen.+ Aanwezigheid van een snackbar, restaurant en winkeltje. - Kwaliteit is echter niet optimaal
- toegewezen plaats was gelegen tegenover een sanitair gebouw.Tijdens de dag en vooral de nacht veel lawaai. De helft van dit gebouw was slechts geopend. Hierdoor ook mannen bij dames. Niet erg op zich doch in de dakramen was de weerspiegeling zichtbaar van wat er in de douches te zien was- s Nachts is er security aan de ingang van de camping. Je zou denken dat deze toezicht houden op hangjongeren en andere onregelmatigheden. Er zou na 23 u geen auto meer mogen toegelaten worden op het terrein. Tijdens ons verblijf hoorden we de hele nacht auto's passeren.

- De ons toegewezen plaats had meer weg van een strand. Deze was gelegen tussen de huisjes. Er was weinig privacy en geen struikgewas. Wij konden door de ramen van de huisjes kijken en omgekeerd. Aangezien de grond op een strand leek was het heel moeilijk om de piketten van de tent in de grond te kunnen houden. Wij als gezin kunnen besluiten dat we niet meer naar Les Genets gaan. Het zwembadcomplex is echt leuk. Als je alleen de focus hierop kan houden moet je zeker boeken, anders blijf je er beter weg .

lovely mobile, fantastic pool
Staff reluctant to help when we arrived early from an early flight - it was a BIG DEAL just to get our luggage stored. We had to plead. Misunderstanding about the cleaning at the end led to an exchange where I felt like a 2 year old being told off. We cleaned our mobile to a good standard but it wasn't good enough. We have been going to French campsites for 15 years and have never been treated like this. Very rude and a horrible ending t a lovely holiday.

Camping très agréable, espace aquatique très grand et bien entretenu, restauration très bonne.
Les animations sont un peu limité l'après midi. Et celles du soir commence trop tard pour nous. L'espace de jeux est très beau mais j'aurai aimé plusieurs petits espaces, un table de ping pong par ici un boulodrome par la etc etc

Impossible de prendre une douche avec une température constante. Alternance de chaud froid très désagréable surtout avec des enfants en bas âge

Très beau et agréable camping. Mentions particulière à l'accueil ; personnel très agréable, aux petits soins du client et répondant à chaque demande par une solution rapide et efficace. Le complexe aquatique est formidable, autant les piscines intérieures qu'extérieures. Et les Lego à disposition des plus petits est une excellente idée. L'équipe d'animation est très appliquée à sa tâche, agréable et performante. Le veilleur de nuit est également sympathique et attentionné. L'épicerie n'est pas très grande mais vous trouvez tout le nécessaire, et le pain est excellent.
Petit axe d'amélioration, peut-être améliorer la propreté dans les sanitaires. C'est tout à fait sain et propre, rien à redire, mais pour un ***** on en attend peut-être un peu plus. Peut-être augmenter les visites journalières du service de nettoyage, notamment pour les sols. Rien d'alarmant, je vous rassure.
Logement idéal pour notre famille. le côté agréable de la toile de tente en mode plus confort. Lodge très bien équipé et spacieux👍 Il ne manque rien dans la cuisine et les 2 bains de soleil sont les bienvenus. Nous étions 4 l'espace est idéal.
Dommage que les "volets" en tissu soient un peu abimés (très courant sur ce genre d'hébergement dans tous les campings, pas uniquement dans celui-ci) et du coup ne se ferment pas jusqu'au bout.

C’était un premium 2 chambres. Le confort 3 chambres, c’est ce que je souhaitais à la base mais les dates ne correspondaient pas…!
