Great swimming pools Loads of activities for everyone we especially like Nordic walking, archery, cheese and wine evening, Pilates, aqua fitness and wine tasting in the chateau.

We had an amazing break! The site is beautiful and very peaceful. Every member of staff was very friendly and helpful and clearly enjoyed working at La Garangeoire. We have holidayed at a large number of 5* campsites in France over the years this is one of, if not the best we have had the pleasure of staying at.

It was perfect! We loved the outdoor seating area and the seclusion. It contained everything we needed foe the perfect self catering break.

Fabulous site with a good balance of activities, spacious pitches, nice bar and restaurant, and great pool area. We liked the sunbed music idea at busy times to shake out the sunbed hoggers! Great idea to have specific kids club activities like football etc, rather than just a generic kids club.
Having stayed at other sites, tennis was expensive at €8.50 an hour usually €5 or free with booking, so we missed out on tennis. The snack bar is good, but 2 portions of grand frites €8, didn't even fill a small bowl of ours, massively overpriced or you need a bigger measure! Not sure you need a deposit for the pedalos, other sites don't.

Clean facilities, friendly staff, great restaurant and good take away too.
Lots of pigeons that leave a mess on car/ caravan/ awnings. Fishing lakes need overgrown bushes/ brambles trimming back and fish in lake one need feeding. (Caught many fish but they were all under weight, regular feeding would benefit the fish and encourage more anglers.

Pigeons and the grass had mostly gone, when it rained the pitch was mud.

This was our 4th time back at Garangeoire, & we are never disappointed. Our boys love all the activities on site & those close by in Grand Defi. I enjoy the spa treatments on site & my husband gets to enjoy a stress free holiday.
Clean, tidy & more than enough space for a family of four.
Maybe another rung in the oven & some better quality knives, but these are minor points & are really the only things I can think of that would improve the facility.

Great family atmosphere, very clean, good facilities. Additions of lagoon and children’s play areas were good.
Some sails/umbrellas/shade around lagoon.

It was tricky trying to get sunbeds around the pool because people were reserving them - better policing of this would ensure there are sun beds for everyone during very busy times.

Really well designed and constructed. Well thought out and provisioned for 7 people. Not at all cramped. Great shower too!
Very minor things....perhaps 7 place settings instead of 6, in case the 7 occupants do not include a baby. And three bar stools, as we had three children who all wanted to use the two we had. But both minor points.

We have stayed in a number of places for our summer holidays over the years and this is the first time we have ever returned to a site. Love this place. The spacious, green site is so well laid out and maintained. It is really well looked after. Loads for activities for our teenage boys to get involved with. Staff are all super helpful. Enjoyed the guided tour from Anne, very interesting.
We would be interested in a (slightly) bigger pool complex perhaps. Also the staff and service in the restaurant is not on the same level as all the excellent staff elsewhere on site.
Amazing accommodation. Spacious, stylish and really comfortable. The best holiday accommodation we have ever had, thank you!

Loved the atmosphere, the helpful friendly staff and the activities and facilities.
Taos accommodation could be better equipped. No good sharp kitchen knives or large drinking glasses. The bar should have a good selection of wines, not just the basic red, white and rose choices. This is France and we like good French wine selections. Also, the small bar kept closing early, 9.30 or 9.40 pm every evening. You could sell good wines here and stay open to 11.

Beds not comfortable. Kitchen equipment very basic. A good chopping knife for food preparation would be good.

Friendly staff, very clean, lovely pitches, shop is good value for money, very safe for children, quiet at night, easy to get connected to nature - walking, fishing, biking. Everything you need on site.
Can’t think of anything - difficult to improve on such a high quality place.
Provision of a good quality BBQ and furniture. Good Lacuna loungers. Help at hand to quickly sort out mole problem! Nice to be under the trees.

Great facilities on site. My 6 y o loved the football lessons and especially Mehdi the main coach. Super helpful staff at reception. Loved our spacious pitch, the slides, range of pools and quiet, rural setting. Our two young boys aged 4 and 6 were very sad to leave…
One of the 10am football coaches was constantly on her phone looking disinterested. Mehdi was superb, but at times matches were left unsupervised. Our sink leaked and lights didn’t work. The latter was fixed but the former was not. Both football goal nets need repairing (lots of holes). The playground area was ok but maybe needs updating. Feel you need a tunnel slide or proper zip wire.
Well equipped. Bigger than I’d expected. Really liked the grassy space in front of our chalet and its location - close to everything. Decent sized fridge was really helpful. Big fan essential when hot.
Could have done with a second fan so both bedrooms had one.

Excellent camp site - perfect facilities, always clean, staff deserve special mention- I’ve never stayed anywhere where the staff were so universally friendly, helpful and good at their jobs. Lots to do without being overwhelming. Despite it being a large site it never felt too busy or crowded. Lots of covered areas, for bad weather or in our case very hot weather. Can’t fault it.

We loved our stay at our new site, it was a beautiful site, very friendly and welcoming staff. Lots to join in with, loved the walks around the estate. So pleased our stay was while the 60th celebrations took place as this was an incredible evening.
The corner on the entrance , turning into the accommodation is a little tight and not well sighted. Maybe more speed ramps as some cars travel far to fast with lots of children around. The shower block near our pitch maybe needs a little updating

We had a wonderful holiday at this campsite. Our children are both under 10 and they were well catered for. The swimming pool was great and it is an excellent location for some of the local attractions. I recommend puy du fou and the grand défi (which is pretty much next door). Reception staff really approachable and friendly. Everything was very clean. We booked directly with the campsite which was easy.

The campsite setting is beautiful. We stayed on a premium camping pitch and the site was fantastic - large hedges separating each pitch to provide privacy. The restaurant was very impressive - delicious food of a high standard, take-away options plentiful too. The catering staff were so friendly and welcoming, it was nice to relax in the courtyard and enjoy a drink in evenings whilst the kids can play nearby.
The toilet/shower facilities were often very dirty (daily). Appreciate that we stayed during peak holiday season, however we stayed at other campsites during this period and the facilities on those (similar) sites were significantly cleaner. The uncovered swimming pool was also very crowded most of the time.
Superb size, loads of space. Nice, flat pitch. The hedges were a bonus, providing privacy if needed. The equipment provided was perfect and all in great condition.

So helpful in arranging a pitch close to our daughter and family who were in a cabin. Loved the 60th party and the range of things we could do with our grandson. Close enough to the beach for quick visit (lots of free car parking).
Shame the lagoon was shut on the first really hot day and when the lake had a competition going on. Grateful that our daughter had a car so we could all go to the nearby beach.
