Friendly reception team who explained everything very clearly even though we were only staying over night .
too much info which was not needed or relevant as only staying one night
clean bathroom etc
no toilet paper infact nothing there at all compared to other similar accommodation we’ve stayed in in France . Kitchen area was just on the top steps either side and completely open so you couldn’t use in wet weather at all with out getting wet !! wouldn’t stay again in this type of accommodation

Mature setting with lots of trees, lake, chateaux. Cabins fairly well spaced apart.
Have a cafe/drinks station open around lunch time and in afternoon if anyone wants a coffee. Very quiet and not many food/drink services before 6pm. Maybe because it’s off peak. Also, if staying a long time (10 days) a change of towels would be great.

This is a beautiful, well run campsite. The staff are exceptionally friendly, without exception and look like they are enjoying their job. Everywhere is very clean and the grounds are well taken care of. We stayed only for two nights as we were touring, but will definitely return. As a couple it was a lovely peaceful site albeit we there at the beginning of June. I would expect it to be busy in the summer. The grounds are vast and pitches well spaced. This site has everything you could ask for whether for a couple or family. Especially appreciated the efforts to be ecologically focused.
Hand soap in the bathrooms would be welcome.

We were very disappointed we were given a pitch on a big slope and very close to other people, we thought this wasn’t necessary because the site was not busy. We walked around and saw numerous pitches which were flat and obviously unattended. A little more thought would have been appreciated. We also were next to other people who partied until gone midnight, we could have rung the emergency number but they were obviously drinking alcohol and we didn’t want any problems . When i booked I did say it was our wedding anniversary it wasn’t a good experience.

Adults only time in the swimming pool would be good 1hour max. Too many kids at times and didn’t going swimming as much because of this.
Cosy and plenty of space
Some mobile homes doesn’t face the sun. And can be dark in the mornings and evenings.

The site was lovely and peaceful, animals were fab, staff were fab and the place was so clean and tidy
Possible early check in on the eurocamp side of things, however not a massive big deal as we could use the facilities until we were able to check in at 4pm

A beautiful estate and thoughtfully laid out. Staff were excellent. Everything was clean and in excellent order. This is my new favourite campsite!
App for ordering bread and pasties was a little quirky, and our order was lost on one occasion. But in general, the app worked really well.
Super facilities and generous plot. Didn’t want for anything.
If I were being super picky, and this is really only an issue for tent campers (as we are) the pitch was a little lumpy and with an incline. But a fabulous outlook so soon forgotten!

We had to extend our stay from 4 nights to 7 as our keys got locked in vehicle and we had to courier spare set from the UK! We were stuck with no car for 5 days but the staff were brilliant offering to help me with online shop etc. Even the Eurocamp staff were helpful even though we were not EC customers. Anyway, we could not have been stuck in a nice place!

Premium pitch with private sanitary facilities which were excellent! everything spotlessly clean. Would have been nice to have a small sink in the toilet for hands or maybe even a sanitiser dispenser if a sink wont fit in. We did have a sink in the shower room which was separate from the toilet.

The site is set in the spacious grounds of a lovely chateau with a great swimming complex.
The shop advertised fresh fruit and vegetables but didn't have any and only had limited opening hours as did the bar and snacks bar ( both of the later closed Wednesdays for some reason) there are supermarkets within a ten minute drive but best to stock up a bit before your arrival.
Enough space, nobody too close. On a slope but not a problem. Toilets and showers close by which were well maintained.

We chose the site having been Castel’s customers previously and wanting to discover this part of Normandy. We weren’t disappointed, the site has a superb ‘feel’, is well laid out and meticulously clean and tidy. The indoor pool is excellent, the bar/ games room area very relaxed and the outside terrace welcoming. The pitch is a good size and well laid out.
The new external pool in 2025 will make a difference, the current pool is tiny. When we arrived there was only one member of the team on reception who was then showing people to their pitches so the queue just got bigger and bigger. Would be helpful if the site plan showed the different pitches - I tried to pick a pitch but kept being advised the one I was selecting wasn’t the right kind, with no advice as to which were so gave up.

We visited this site at the end of May 2024 for the first time and found the site easily and access was good. Friendly staff and good pitches/facilities - we would re visit again
