From arrival to departure the service was excellent everything clean and the staff did everything to make our stay enjoyable

Nice sized pitch (13) but noise from under a drain ? Cover all the time sounding like a generator.
View of dilapidated Public swimming pool next door, could do with screening off !

The lovely view of the castle from the island and the peaceful nature of the campsite draw us back again and again.
We liked the position of our accommodation and the large terrace. The double bed was a good size and very comfortable. There was everything we needed.

Maintenance to washrooms desperately needed! Broken or very poor showers, that only last a second when pressed
We had to move pitch as the chalet accommodation interspersed with touring led to exceptionally loud groups at night. Large groups of men all around us until after midnight. Out of season the touring was all couples who clearly wanted quiet! We moved to the other end of the site for some better sleep.

A great site for getting into Saumur easily. Very well laid out pitches, brilliant swimming pool with a lovely view of the Chateau across the river. Enjoyed the bar, didn’t eat there so can’t comment but I would think it’s good.

Lots of muddy paths could do to have more stones as the mud walked into the shower blocks. Showers were not very hot

The area is stunning especially the Chateau and even more so when it was lit up at night. I also liked the swimming pool. A lovely facility although rather busy.
I disliked having to wait until 2pm for entry in spite of registering in the morning at 11.30am. Toilets and showers could have been cleaner.
Trees over my pitch protected us from the worst of the heat .

Toilets and showers did not appear to be cleaned during our stay. No toilet paper. Lots of dead flies everywhere.

A return visit to this site as we know it has the elements that make a good holiday. Enjoyed the pool, including great aquagym sessions. Nice bar/restaurant and a programme of events in season. We had a large pitch in a good location. Reception staff are always very friendly, polite and helpful.
Sinks full of dead mosquitoes is not pleasant in the mornings. Toilet facility cleaning times/ frequency varied a lot and quality of cleaning depended on who was doing the job - possibly a staff shortage issue?
Good size pitch in a good location for accessing facilities. Wanted a pitch without tree cover and this suited our needs perfectly.

This was the 5th time that I have enjoyed a holiday here. I very much like the location, close to the town and chateau,and close to shops etc. The mobile homes are always clean and comfortable.
We did have a problem on this occasion. This year I brought my elderly mum and dad on holiday with me. My dad is disabled and cannot walk. I therefore booked the mobile home adapted to people with reduced mobility. I made the booking way back in April. When I arrived at the site,I was told that the home had also been booked by someone else and we would have to use another home! I told your reception that this would be impossible due to my dad's disability.. The receptionist was very understanding and agreed we could have the correct home for the first night but we would have to vacate it afterwards! He would, however, try and contact his other client to see if they would be prepared to use another mobile home,allowing us to stay in the home that we originally booked. We then had to wait for 30 minutes for the home to be cleaned before we could unpack and move in. As you can imagine, this was a very stressful time for us all and it rather spoit our arrival at the site and ruined the start of our holiday as we were left wondering where we would be staying after our first night! Fortunately, after a couple of hours, the receptionist returned and told us he had spoken to his other client and they had agreed to stay in alternative accommodation. This was obviously a great relief to us and I would like to thank the receptionist again for his help in eventually sorting things out. Thankfully, our holiday continued without problems, although the lack of any WiFi connection was a little inconvenient ,but I understand this was due to an earlier storm but it still shouldn't take over a week to repair.
