A true gem of a site, what is not to like. A wonderful campsite in the grounds of a beautiful chateau. A feeling that you are in true France. Welcoming staff, nothing is ever too much trouble. Valerie booked our AHC vets visit for our dog prior to our stay. Lovely relaxing pool area, good food at the restaurant and a nice bar and terraced area. Plenty of open spaces to enjoy. We stayed in the area Cynthia, pitches are large and vans etc are parked around the perimeter of the green space surrounding a magnificent chestnut tree and pitches overlook the chateau.

This is a lovely spot. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect, pitches and cabins set back in shady trees with a lake, a pool and spotlessly clean ablutions. A pleasant restaurant and a little shop. And all managed by the most wonderful, warm hearted and friendly staff you could wish for - all multilingual. This will become a regular stop for us to / from Caen. Oh .. and dogs stay for free too!

Our request for a shaded site was granted which was a relief as we were there during the heatwave. The reception staff could not be more helpful and provided some freezer space to chill our cool packs. The bar and restaurant were lovely although the menu is a bit unimaginative. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. The pool area was very pretty and catered for kids as well as adults.
The only negative I have is about dealing with plastic waste. Bins for general waste and glass waste were plentiful across the site but there was a sign on the bins saying plastic waste must be taken to the bin at the red gate. I asked a member of staff where it was and he took me in a buggy. I think it would be helpful to have a bin for plastic waste along side the other bins.

Friendly helpful staff, most of whom speak English. Great pool area, nice dog walking area through a wooded area. Wifi not that great. Bar was good and prices were reasonable ( £6 for a pint of Lager)

At 50 euros 40 cents for a motorhome with 2 adults for 1 night it was very expensive

Thank you very much for your review and feedback. We have chosen to accept one-night stays, which is not the case everywhere. However, a €10 surcharge applies to one-night bookings. This fee is automatically waived for stays of two nights or more. 😉

Pitch was very poor this is not a 5 star camp site. Pool area is untidy. CDP is a long walk from our pitch, no wine coolers in the restaurant

We had booked well in advance and requested a particular area with shade, which was reserved for us. In the heatwave this was necessary! Even though we couldn’t stay as long as we had hoped to, the setting was perfect.

We only stayed for one night but the way the caravans and campers were pitched in a circle looking at the house was lovely and gave everyone a feeling of space The take away meals in the restaurant were good value The pool was lovely and clean The whole place had a friendly ambiance
