The site is definitely only a 2 star but reception is a 5 star. When we arrived we didn't like the look of the place. Old caravans and mobile moterhome on it. Then the site filled up and it looked much better. Great accessory to the city. Regular bus service runs all day.
Shower block nice but far to small. Waiting 15 minutes for a shower at 9.0pm on a Monday evening. Only 3 showers and toilets
Pitch was a good size. flat and hard standing. No bushes round so a very open outlook with some sun in the morning.

Helpful staff- arranged bus ticket with them & given a map, she highlighted all places of interest for us. Free WiFi. Clean showers & toilets.

Make clear how to choose shadowed pitches, cover where sunny. Water load for barrels is not so easy.

Told we could only drive or reverse onto pitch . No parking across the pitch or at an angle. This was blatantly ignored by multiple people and nothing was done about it.

Friendly receptionist who took her time to walk us to all available shady pitches and her knowledge of things to see and do in Lyon was first class as was her English

It was ok , not too busy
Probably because it was a weekend with a lot of traffic, but to get to Lyon en back, especially in de evening I had to wait easily 40-50 minutes for the bus C10 Saint-Genis. I noticed that the other bus C10 to the other destination arrived earlier ...Could it be an alternative, even though than we might have to walk back to the camping a bit longer?
