Evaluations that are not older than three years and have undergone a verification process. More infoCalm friendly feel to site. Staff friendly and helpful. Owners very knowledgeable about surrounding area.
Some hedges between pitches to give a bit of privacy instead of a row of 50cms grass. Drinks in bar very pricey .. not enough shade around pool asea
Large pitch, water available with each pitch, well maintained, clean and tidy
No privacy between pitches

We had a really lovely family holiday at L'Orangerie. We loved the peace and chilled vibe. The barn and table tennis etc was appreciated, as was the little shop and cafe. Swimming pool was lovely and the surrounding forest was beautiful - as was the nearby little village.
I didn't have a hot shower all week - I was fne with this as I am a cold shower kinda girl - but it would have been nice to have the showers hotter. A few more essentials in the shop might be useful. The drain cover around the pool was dangerously hot and burnt my gandsons feet - so something to maybe warn people of or cover over with something.
Very nice indeed. We loved the spaciousness. Water and electricity was great ( although I couldn't find the water source to begin with) The pergola , fridge, chairs were great.

Good pitch size, good facilities, great staff, great location.
The temperature of the showers was too cold. Out of 7 days the men's showers were cold each time.
Good size pitch and good water & electricity facilities. Car sun shelter was helpful.

Excellently run lovely site which just feels so welcoming. The pool is beautifully clean. The burgers on site are delicious. Lovely onsite shop to purchase necessities and daily croissants from the local bakery. This was our second visit and it was just as great as the first. We will be back!

Enjoyed the stay in what was very hot weather. Very clean facilities and extensive grounds with woodland paths. Helpful reception with good range of leaflets. Visited Vendome and the most English Garden in France where we had an excellent lunch in the restaurant.
Refuse disposal facilities were at the end of the drive which was inconvenient. Laundry not indicated on plan. It was also expensive for short wash in comparison to other sites.
Water and electric supply to pitch.was good.and the size was excellent though we paid for this. Large. Easy to walk to boulangerie in the village via woods. We liked the fruit trees whicharked out the pitches.
The first pitch allocated was very uneven and was impossible to use and easily level the caravan. It was very stoney and had depressions in it in awkward places. The adjoining pitch which I requested was better but by then I had wasted an hour trying to set up. It was very hot to be doing this The grass was very worn for early in the season though the weather had been very dry.

Second time here and this time stayed in ‘Tours’ Gite . Early morning swim followed by coffee & croissants by the tree stumps was a beautiful start to the day. The campsite offers great food and has visiting vendors for pizza and beer too. Shower block is excellent and clean .the owners and staff are friendly and helpful. We love this site and will definitely return.

Lovely big pitches, excellent facilities, communication was excellent before and throughout our stay, staff were lovely. Excellent recommendations for local things to do throughout our stay.
Showers, water temperature and the push buttons could do with altering. However the facilities were always spotlessly clean
Lovely sized pitch with a good pergola.

Nice site, we stayed in a tent so a little more shade would have been ideal, we did pay for a gazebo which helped with shade. Lovely swimming pool and the toilet block was clean, however people were complaining that the showers were cold which in the hot weather is fine but a little too cold at times. There’s a burger bar on site which was ok, nothing special. Would definitely stay here again though, good location.
We stayed in a tent during the heatwave and no from the site came to ask if everything was ok which maybe would have been nice to see if they could help with the hot weather. The owners were friendly but not overly communicative but we still had a great stay. The staff were very friendly

Although we only stayed two nights a lovely site, in a lovely location where it was clean and the pitches were larger than normal. The walk through the woods was lovely set in a beautiful grounds as was the whole Chateau. Jane was very helpful when we arrived and we will definitely return for a longer period next time.
None noted.
Larger than expected, flat and in a lovely location, semi shade, which is just what we wanted given the extreme high temperatures. It was so quiet which is just what we wanted. The electricity and water were conveniently close.
Nothing.

Everything from the friendly welcome, to the well-spaced pitches, to the lovely pool is just a delight. The sanitary facilities were very clean. The atmosphere of the place is delightful and we will be back.
The showers are the push button sort, so could be improved, but overall it's lovely
Good amount of space and plenty of shade!

This campsite was simply superb and easily one of the best we have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like a traditional campsite and more like we were camping within the grounds of a beautiful château. The setting is absolutely stunning. The pitches are huge, giving plenty of space and privacy, and ours was particularly impressive. It felt more like having our own private area of the estate rather than being on a campsite. The pitch also provided welcome shade at various points throughout the day, which was invaluable during our stay in the middle of a heatwave.
Given that we visited during an extreme heatwave, a few more trees planted around the pitches would provide even more shade and would make an already outstanding setting even better. That said, our pitch already had some shade and this is a very minor point considering the conditions we experienced.
Our pitch was fantastic — enormous, private, and with enough space to comfortably spread out. The natural surroundings made it feel very special, and the partial shade throughout the day was a huge advantage. It really added to the feeling that we were staying somewhere unique rather than simply occupying a campsite pitch.

Swimming pool was great, pitches, ground and surrounding small forest really nice and a very relaxing stay, however the temperature did hit +41 degrees which made doing anything challenging
Open the bar at the pool, we enquired but owners said it’s only open in high season from July so others please be aware if going in June, the site was busy so the bar was well worth opening Food, all that was offer was burgers so minimal Pool area, no sun beds only stupid black chairs, that was difficult to sit on in the sun, and when you did because it was so hot they folded in on and and collapsed, the one I sat on broke in half with evening up having a large bruise on my side for the rest of the holiday and I’m not heavy being a fit athlete 79kg!!!!
Great location and fridges supplied where great and fridge in motorhome not working correctly due to 42 degrees

The ambience of the chateau and grounds together with the pool for a swim or cool down is just what we wanted.
Signage could do with freshening. Clearer markers for the walks in the woodland without intruding on the naturally beautiful area.
Great balance of sun and shade

Great site, with large emplacements, the pergolas are very helpful. Lovely walking in the woods to the village of Villedomer, and very welcoming in the Le Petit Gourmet. Also enjoyed the Bieretruck and Pizza wagon. The pool was quiet and very welcoming.
The pergola and the space. We could use the covered area to decant a few things from out van. The proximity of water and electric was helpful, I carry a short electric cable which I use in these situations rather than having to use the 30M cable.
