Lovely site in beautiful surroundings. The best info pack by far, lovely staff, gorgeous food. Nice pool, good beer. Can't fault it. We will be back

A charming campsite run by an English couple
Warm welcoming and explanation of all the services. Well organized, very clean sanitary, Relaxed and quiet site in the middle of nature. Good dinner served on the terrace, not the usual burger and pizza, but homemade cooking.

A lovely we urethra fire e we it’s r wet very thing you need for a holiday. We only stayed one night but will be back for longer.

Beautiful site - very well kept and pretty. Sue and George looked after us so well. Electric on pitch and water all around the site. The toilets and showers were very clean. Great to have a washer and dryer on site. Highly recommend eating on site - the meals were lovely and Sue is a great chef. Lots to see out and about. A great stay.

Absolute lovely place, pitch sizes fabulous, lovely lush green views. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful and sues cooking is delicious! Very quiet, calm camp site . We will be back

We stayed from 13 - 19 June as the campsite we were going to couldn’t accommodate us due to the massive amount of rain. Quick phone call to Sue who said yes come earlier no problem. This place exceeded all expectations. Tucked away (shop first if you are in a motorhome and don’t want to move) it’s so peaceful. Little dog walk round the mill pond. Daily food with fresh menu. Daily breads too. Sue and George run a fantastic campsite which is well maintained and clean. Lots of return visitors which says it all. We will definitely stay again.

The site is very tranquil, set amongst the trees with ample space on pitches. This was our second visit and we are sure to return again. Sue and George are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The choice on the menu, that Sue cooks fresh every night, is fabulous and when the sun is setting, eating on the terrace by the lake is beautiful. It was great to be able to use the pool this time.
There was plenty of room for our caravan, awning and car. The wash block is clean and spacious, although a little chilly first thing in the morning.

A gorgeous, idyllic setting! We have spent 6 nights at this site with our two daughters. A relaxing setting with well maintained pitches, all excellent sizes too. Surrounded by the trickling river and the lush green trees this site is perfect. Sue and George made us welcome and our daughters felt at home cycling around the site and swimming in the lovely pool which sits up the floral framed stone steps with amazing views of the site. We have enjoyed it so much we are storing our caravan there. Oh and Sue does a great steak too!

Had 3 nights here, a beautiful, tranquil place, with a beautiful lake. Hosts were great and supply plenty of information on places to visit in the area. Situated in the middle of a forest means plenty of nice shaded walks direct from the site. Lovely relaxing restful place to stay.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Sue empfangen und konnten uns unkompliziert einen Stellplatz aussuchen. Die Plätze sind relativ eben auf Rasenflächen. Es gibt einen unbeheizten, schön gelegenen Pool. Minuspunkte sind die in die Jahre gekommenen Sanitäranlagen, die allerdings sauber waren. Es wird WLAN zur Verfügung gestellt, welches aber sehr langsam ist. Für die Durchreise war der Platz für uns ok.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at our campsite. Thank you for your positive comments regarding the welcome, the pitch, the swimming pool, and the sites cleanliness. We are bewildered by the scores given which do not match your comments, you liked the pitch but only awarded 5 out of 10, you mentioned that everything was clean but only awarded 6 out of 10. Certain aspects of our toilet block are old, but perfectly functioning, the fittings- taps & shower heads are new and completely clean of any limescale. The toilets are specially chosen to have a rounded comfortable seat, our reduced mobility washroom was added in recent years. Certain parts of the block may not be esthetically pleasing, orange would not be my choice of colour! But we choose to invest in the sustainability of the campsite above the simple colour of the toilet block panels. In recent years we have been installing photovoltaic panels to help with our electricity usage, and the investment this winter is for a solar heated hot water system. Which we think is a more important. Our Wifi is free & works fine for emails and checking the weather etc. but our only connection option is by satellite, we are fighting to be connected by fibre but a kilometer of forest lies in its path. We read and take all reviews seriously, so I will be updating our website with more photographs of the toilet block, so that future campers can judge for themselves and not be put off from visiting by your comments. We welcome many guests who find us as a convenient stop over on route north & south, we also have guests who love the campsite & region who enjoy longer stays. We look forward to giving you a friendly welcome again in the future.

Relaxte sfeer, fijn personeel/eigenaren, behulpzaam. Erg lekker gegeten. Kunnen zelf voor die prijs niet zelf koken.
Sanitair is erg schoon, maar beetje bejaard
de standplaats is heerlijk rustig.

The buiding and panels are dated, orange is not my choice of colour either! But the internal fitting are new, and so is the hotwater system which will soon benefit from the addition of solar panels.

Nous reconnaissons les difficultés avec Internet, il n'est pas aussi rapide que vous en avez l'habitude, notre wifi est offert gratuitement, mais notre seule option de connexion est par satellite, ce qui fonctionne bien pour les e-mails et pour vérifier la météo - mais le streaming est impossible ! Nous nous battons pour une connexion fibre optique, mais 1 km de forêt nous en empêche.
