Camping La Bouysse

La Bouysse is a lovely family run campsite situated next to the Dordogne. The scenery around you is stunning, whether you’re in the pool or having a drink at the bar. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Shower blocks and toilets were clean. There’s a snack bar onsite serving pizzas, burgers etc as well as local cuisine such as confit or magret de canard. The food is well priced and was very tasty! We’ve holidayed in this region for over 20+ years and its campsites like La Bouysse that will keep us coming back, so it’s no surprise that we’ll be booking again for 2026.

We spent two days. One visiting the Lascaux cave and the other with the canoe trip proposed by the accommodation. Both activities are extremely recommendable. La Bouysse is an excellent campsite both in terms of facilities and location.

Beautiful site and facilities, lovely location and wonderful staff who were happy to help with my pigeon French by speaking in English. Thank you. Parking within a few metres from the chalet. The chalet surounded by trees giving shade and pretty flowering shrubs. Inside the chalet, spotless with all the comforts of home.

Two very minor items: a little fan in the bedroom and a small kettle for the gas hob.

Decent sized pitched, beautiful surroundings, amazing canoe ride from the site along the river.

The grumpy man who kept telling our children off for making any noise behind us! Did ruin it a little bit can’t be helped.

The campsite is very well organised & its position next to the river Dordogne is superb - the staff are so friendly & welcoming - the bar & the food are good. The swimming pools are just big enough - the shop stocks all of the essentials. We enjoyed the Entertainment in the evenings.

The pool, the river, the sanitary blocks.

The campsite should have free WiFi everywhere, regarding the fact that the campsite is not that cheap. The toilet paper in the small sanitary block near pitch 86 was too often.missing, even in the morning.

I liked the pool and the toilet and shower blocks were very good.

It was quite busy which meant we were woken up by small children crying in the night. Not really the campsites fault but still affected our stay. The evening entertainment from the campsite sometimes went to quite late too (11:30pm) which meant it was hard for our 4 year old to get sleep.

As welcoming and relaxing as always. Accommodation, was clean and well equiped

Location of the camp ground, beauty of the surroundings, peace and quiet during night and day, access to beautiful nature, etc etc. Absolutely excellent!

We loved this site! We thought our plot was fab with lots of shade! The lovely lady that runs it works so hard and always with a smile and a joke! The pool was lovely with a fab view of the hills and white cliffs. There is a great bit of river right outside the campsite to swim in and the canoes are really great which you order from reception and take from the site down river where they pick you up at an agreed time later in the day. We would go back here! ❤️

Lovely location Great friendly staff

Fabulous location of the site with large, shady pitches. Shop sold the basics and the snack bar had basic snacks too. Nice bar by the popular pool. The toilets and showers were cleaned well and regularly.

More soap and toilet paper available would help improve hygiene.

Thank you for a wonderful stay, the apartment was perfect for us, really spacious and well equipped. We loved the balcony overlooking the river, the pool was fantastic. Everywhere was beautifully maintained and clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We loved the area and it was well placed for seeing all the villages. We hope to return next year, many thanks Philip & Rebecca.

Big emplacements and the cottage style mobile homes gave a pleasant ambience. Well- maintained grounds with good landscaping design and planting. Loved the infinity pool with the outlook over the rocky escarpment on the river banks.

Access to daily bread!!!

This site is truly lovely, set in beautiful surroundings next to the river & cliffs. The owners are very welcoming & work extremely hard to provide a well maintained site with many facilities, including a pool, bar, tennis, childs play area to mention just a few. The pitches are large & private with shade if required. I stayed in late May, so it was quiet, which was fine for me as this was a good location to travel to Sarlat, Domme & many other interesting locations nearby. I would highly recommend this family run site & will certainly visit again. With thanks.x

Nous avons vraiment aimé ce camping situé en pleine nature au bord de la Dordogne et près de Sarlat. Nous avons apprécié l'accueil familial, le contact très facile et la gentillesse des hôtes. Encore merci à eux pour leur accompagnement et de nous avoir mis à disposition les différents matériels pour profiter des terrains de jeux en famille. Ce camping propose de nombreuses activités (piscine, ping pong, tennis et pétanque....) et également, la location de canoës avec un très beau parcours de quelques heures. Notre séjour s'est passé dans les meilleures conditions.

Rien à signaler

Le site et l'aménagement du camping. Le"village"des chalets et la piscine avec sa magnifique vue sur les falaises. L'accueil et la confiance des propriétaires.

Nous avons sejourné dans un chalet en septembre. Malgré une météo passable, nous avons pu profiter de cette magnifique région et de sa gastronomie.

C’est la première fois que nous séjournons dans ce camping. Un beau camping familial, bien entretenu, en bordure de la Dordogne, calme, L’accueil y est parfait, on est très bien renseigné, et avec le sourire. Pour nous c’est parfait, on ne demande rien de plus.
